THEY ARE SO CUTE AT THE END. Like, the grey cockatiel and pink and grey galah. And she dressed in those colors too. It's too sweet *0* . I am glad the bird is healthy now!
I'm so glad she healed and regrew! Beautiful baby. I would have been devastated if she was mine. I think Galah's are the most beautiful, I'm a sucker for the pink and grey and their lil topknots but I don't think I could provide one with the home it needs so I just appreciate them on youtube and if I get lucky seeing one belonging to someone else here and there.
Great video. For me, I was heart broken at the start seeing her feathers in such poor shape. (no fault of Janene) But thrilled to death to see how absolutely beautiful she looked at the end! Just beautiful.
I allowed my cockatiels to see the carrier first, then they played in it and now they enjoy going in and out of it. So I closed the door they did not like that. Thank you for showing what to do next to close the door.
I did the same as you with my lorikeets, just put it near them & put treats in it & had them climbing in & out for months before using it for real. Mine are rescues & HATE being moved by others, I gave up on step up after 6 months of daily training, cause they would step up, but only if I agreed not to move my hand while they were on it, so there was no way for me that they were going to be ok in a moving carrier, no matter what, so I never even bothered closing the door until we were actually going to the vet. Mine is top opening & for the vet visit, I also put their favourite rope perch in it, along with treats & my girl's plastic eggs that she wasn't sitting on at the time, but wanted to keep in her cage anyway & I was surprised how good they were with the carrier! Barely stressed at all when the door was closed. At the vet, I opened the top & they climbed up onto it's edges, like they were used to doing at home, but made no attempt to go anywhere else, as they associated the carrier with being THEIR cage & with no alternative cage around, they wanted to stay in/on it, boy right inside it after vet had handled him. I'm guessing yours will be the same with where you're at now, even without in & out training if you just put some food or treats, water & a toy or 2 into it with them From my experience, I think just letting them play first, like you have, is absolutely the best way to do it - if time allows
Oh poor baby girl. Poor darling. She's a real sweetheart. I would be utterly devastated if my boy hurt himself like that, I love his wings so much, I admire them every day. He's like an angel. I mean he looks like one lol, he certainly doesn't behave like one 😂😂
I have a fondness for Galahs. We had then swing around and upside down eating seed pods yesterday in the tree outside my window. I’m so pleased to see the videos at the end. It’s good to see owners taking so much care for their birds. Edit: corrections. Thank you. May you all please take care and stay safe.
They are beautiful wow….I love watching these videos,,,,I will never have one because I have dogs but it’s fascinating….I have a lot of wild birds in the garden and A very tame cardinal that comes every day for her bath 🛁 and if the bird bath is not full enough she will chirp and make a fuss …such a character
I was watching her trying to eat the pvc training perch & thinking the same, that she's be much happier with a natural timber perch that she could chew when stressed, but the stress & chewing was probably a one off, due to the injury. The bird room at the end has lots of natural timber in it, plus ropes that galahs love. I'm guessing you did the same as me, thinking & writing that after seeing the first bit only, but her play area at the end looks awesome to me!
She misjudged or slipped. I don't remember what exactly. She is kinda clutzy & in the cage sometimes she'll just drop too the bottom because it's more likely the easiest route. I've seen her hang upside down & chooses to drop to the bottom rather than climb back up. It's really a guess what exactly happened that actually injured her.
My budgie isn’t at all interested in millet. I’ve been feeding him it for ages, but he’ll only eat it when it’s right next to him. He won’t fly to it and I’m not sure what to do to tame him. Please help :)
You could experiment with other treats and see if you can find one he really likes. But, lack of treat value is very often diet related. Is he on a seed diet?
@@EllieDoesArt-xs9ni yeh, he's obviously not going to be interested in millet as a treat if millet is his normal diet that he gets in large amounts every day :) Switch diet & it will become a treat. Meanwhile, try grass that's in seed, see if he likes the seed on that, or the grass, he may. Switching diet is the easiest long term fix though
It was so nice being able to see Janene's follow up. ❤️
Lola's tiny goodbye at the end was so cute!
I love Lola. She’s an amazing galah. Janene is such a sweet and caring bird mom.
I learn so much from yall. When i finally bite the bullet and find my bird im going to be at the very least well informed lol

The update was so exciting, thank you. So good to see her all better again. Her Mum has pretty grey hair that looks kind of like her girls feathers 😍
I love these two and their matching “outfits” ❤
Awhh, Lola bird! She’s my favorite Galah, love seeing her!
It was so cool to see the update! I’m happy that she healed well from her fall. What a kind and dedicated owner.

What wonderful parronts.

I love to watch your video 😍😍😍😍😍
Oh my gosh 💔
❤
Please get the galah some branches to perch on
Oh she has many perches & areas of all sizes

What was causing her to fall in the cage and shower

Can we have another colab with you and Tyler Nolan pls pls pls 🥰

Second on the seed diet. Try to convert him.
He is on a seed diet… I’ll try converting him
