I like the concept of this plugin. We use our ears mostly in mixing and mastering. But it is Good to see also what's going on. I must try this. Good demo, thanks, Man.
good video, thanks for the infos.
it has just made me understand again, that our ears are the best helpers during the sound QA.
sending all of the best wishes to you.
Would love a video like this that went into the harmonics section!
Thanks for the advice
Thanks bro!! very good video!!
...and the best is, you can match L/R at hardware EQ nicely with this !
*Applause slowly* Bravo, it's genius !
Nice work.
Thanks man....good one😊
Nice.
Makes sense.
Nice video bro
Nice. Wondering if someone would look at this tester.
nice logo mate
Is there an alternative to Plug-in Doctor for Pro Tools?
How do i get to work with the doctor eq i know its standalone but im still having trouble
It is a standalone software. Essentially just locate your plugin directory and load them up within plugin doctor.
@@IglesiasWoodlandsStudio it is not helpful to be standalone It should work in the daw
Can i replicate an analog eq With a Pro q if i copy the Curve ?
I guess you could yes but the changes will be from any harmonic distortion the analogue Eq brings to the table. You can copy the curves but you can't copy it's tonality I would say
@@IglesiasWoodlandsStudio ok Thanks ! Very Interesting video by the way :)
@@IglesiasWoodlandsStudio you should be able to see the analog distortion in Plugin Doctor then?
do you have a video explaining how to analyse compressors in Plugin Doctor?
Hi mate, i haven't done one yet as I am recording some new videos. But it isn't particularly complicated and you will quickly understand how it works when you give it a try :)
@@IglesiasWoodlandsStudio A compressor analysis video would be really useful. Could i also request that you do a video on how to understand the phase aspect of plugin dr?
so what pultec do you suggest to use ?
@@Renaxelo I actually created my own recently that focuses on the low end. It is the exact curves that I wanted for the low end.

UAD slams
Link to this plugin?
You can't open it in your daw 🙂
You should test the newer UAD plugin versions. They aren't like the legacy you have.
Very interesting app, but unfortunately the problem is exactly that people mix with their eyes more than with the ears these days, and this is not going to help to address this issue but may in fact exacerbate it by giving a graphic interface to plugins that you previously had to use your ears to work with.
It's not just for eqs tho. It helps you better understand where distortion plugins are working. I know I get deftly tired of A-D saturators with little to no visual metering.
@@soun.slayerTTV also my comment was not limited to eq, but to all processing when we rely on our eyes more than on our ears.
Mixing with your eyes is part of the process. It's not singular or all or nothing. I know it is a popular cliche, however it is often stated out of context or utilized as a hammer in search of a nail.
@@PurpleMusicProductions to each his/her own i would say. I am not against visual aid in mixing, and i ise it as well, but i don't feel that we should rely only or predominantly on it, since music is an aural and not a visual experience. That's it.
@@musamusashi I definitely agree with your point though as we should not just stare at the screen viewing analyzers searching and fixing problems that are inaudible or non existent as that is one of the quickest ways to ruin a mix. But if there sounds like a problem in the high mids, but not sure where, so instead of hunting around in the dark hoping to find the target, but using a graph to reveal it is the 4k frequency enables you to fix it and move on. In that situation, I presume this is what the original interpretation of that phrase meant.
So this is prove that my thesis is correct: throw all that hyped bullshit eqs away and start using fabfilters Pro-Q 3. Done.
ha ha fabfilter for subtractive EQ and acustica for that additive analog mojo.
The hype is real, but no mojo in Pro Q-3
