    Thank you so much! My husband is Cypriot. I have made these with friends in Cyprus, and also eaten them many times. I've wondered what cheese might work in place of the traditional, but unavailable Anari. Gruyere sounds great 😃. Thank you again! Kalo Pascha (soon)😊

    Add eggwash on top and the sesame seeds.. if you can find Pafitiko cheese, you will make the best flaounes.. με αγαπη απο Κυπρο

    Sorry Άκη μου αλλά στις φλουνες για τη γέμιση βάζουμε φρέσκο δυόσμο και όχι ξύσμα λεμονιού επίσης βάζουμε και προζύμι. Από πάνω πασπαλίζουμε με αυγό και σουσάμι ⁸

    You don't use ordinary mint, but fresh spearmint. Also, you use anari tseez, not gruyere tseez.
    Also, flauna is not open but completely closed.
    Oh, and Manolakis speaks better English than you. 😁😁
