    I just installed the same exhaust on my FZ-07. It is amazing how much justice internet audio does not do to the actual sound in person. In real life this exhaust on this bike sounds un befucking leavable! I literally squealed with joy like a little bitch the first time that I heard the exhaust on my bike! lol

    Greetings from Australia. This is one of the better videos I've seen - the sound quality really shows off the Akra's gutteral tone. Thanks!

    This sounds awesome,I have a 2 brothers on my 2016 and it sounds similar but a little heavier with popping noises when engine braking and revs. These bikes sound better than any bikes I've ever heard with an exhaust

    Why each and every company that makes a parallel twin doesn't go with a 270 degree crank is beyond me. They just sound MEAN.
    Compare this parallel twin to the 180 degree crank in bikes like the 650R that sound like scooters.

    Really nice Video! QUESTION: Are these the original tires??

    • @USMCFieldMP
      @USMCFieldMP  9 років тому

      Arthur Moraes Yes, I have not changed tires yet. I have 7,000 miles on them now and they don't appear to have worn very much, so I think they'll last quite some time. My FZ-07 came with some fairly tame tires though - Michelin Pilot Road 3's.

  • @nicholasthomson97

    Incredible sounding bike! Im in the market for an exhaust for the FZ 07 and i have narrowed it down to the two Akrapovic exhausts. Why did you choose the carbon over the titanium? Cheers

    • @USMCFieldMP
      @USMCFieldMP  9 років тому

      nicholasthomson97 I preferred the look of the Carbon system over the Titanium system mostly. But as a bonus, the Carbon system weighs less (4.2kg/9.3lbs for the Carbon; 5.6kg/12.3lbs for the Titanium) and the power and torque peak a couple hundred rpm sooner (per the graphs available on the Akrapovic website).

    Did you feel any loss of power from stock to akra? Did you install a power commander and get a dyno tune? Sweet bike, getting one in spring, just want to know if I need a pc and dyno if I get akra full system.

    • @USMCFieldMP
      @USMCFieldMP  8 років тому +1

      +Jacob Bell No loss of power; gains across the board. Akra has the dyno comparison available on their website. No power commander or dyno.

    I subbed. Great videos! 2 questions do u have to get a power commander or retune the bike with a full exhaust? What's ur onion on the M4 exhaust? It's a slip on

    • @USMCFieldMP
      @USMCFieldMP  8 років тому +1

      +Tristin Martin I have no Power Commander and see no need for one at this time. The bike runs just as smooth as when stock. My opinion of the M4 is that it's cheap. I think chopping up the stock exhaust is a hack move and I think then having a two tone exhaust is an eye sore. I chose the Akrapovic because they're always one of the best sounding systems for any bike and I chose the Carbon because I think it's the better looking of the two that Arkapovic offers.

    Does it sound exactly like a Harley v-twin? Your video/sound is great but you can't catch all the sound on cam. Does it sound more like a ducati monster? I love how the ducati sounds.

    • @USMCFieldMP
      @USMCFieldMP  9 років тому

      Eddie vue It sounds similar to a big v-twin, but only being a 700, it isn't quite as deep as you'd see from something with more cc's. Never heard a Monster in person, so I couldn't tell you.

    • @USMCFieldMP

      +AFistFullOfMoto Nope. The exhaust is the only performance modification on the bike.

    How is performance? Gains/losses. Power commander neccessary? Thanks for the video!

    • @USMCFieldMP
      @USMCFieldMP  9 років тому +2

      Performance is great, feels stronger through the mid-RPM range and also when cracking the throttle in high gears at higher speeds. No noticeable losses in performance; Power Commander unnecessary, imo - runs just as smooth as stock.
      Those are my initial feelings. It's been cold as hell, and it's rained or snowed almost every day since I installed it, so I've only been able to get out on it a handful of times, and only ever for about hour.

    • @JimmiSez
      @JimmiSez 9 років тому

      Thumperman Chame Any time you add performance parts to your engine you should have it checked out if no power commander or EJK, even though it may sound and run good. It may be running too hot and eventually ruin your engine. You change one thing, you have to change another. That's the rule of thumb.

    • @phoenix1925
      @phoenix1925 9 років тому

      ***** it depends.if the change is minor maybe there is not need for other changes.

    • @JimmiSez
      @JimmiSez 9 років тому

      When you say 'maybe' it implies you should have it checked out to be sure. I'm not telling you what to do, just warning you. I hate to see a nice bike get ruined over an ignored maybe.

    • @phoenix1925
      @phoenix1925 9 років тому

      ***** when i say maybe i say it cause i dont talk about something specific...if you tell me a specific change I'll tell you what other changes are needed or not. So in general if the change is minor maybe you wouldn't need to change anything. if you put just an air filter for example,you dont need to change anything on the bike.

    • @DA2THFA1RY

    • @hado23
      @hado23 8 років тому

      +L. Gyger it's not legal in the states and Europe

    • @USMCFieldMP
      @USMCFieldMP  8 років тому

      +L. Gyger +četrti Ha dB noise isn't really enforced on bikes in any US state. California probably has the most strict limits, but you'll typically only receive a "fix-it ticket", opposed to a violation ticket.

      Mickey Mouse The stock exhaust is all one piece. Akra is a full system, as are the majority of systems out for the FZ-07. All "slip-on" systems require you to cut the stock exhaust system.
