In the book of Amos (9:7), it is written: 'Aren't you like the Kushites O' Israel'? Biblical traditions were more African than Europeans. It is only after the Romans coopted Christianity that the adulteration happened. It is even indicated in the Bible.

I am both Christian and Pan Africanist and absolutely loved this; I felt very enriched by my two Christian brothers. In all actuality unapologetic Christianity and unapologetic black nationalism are very much compatible, and I am not surprised to here the very deep African roots that are all over the Bible. From Yeshua's ancestry, to the African roots of the writer of the gospel of Mark.
Really like the way Pastor Damon mentioned the radical black revolutionaries who were unapologetically Christian, Maleek lost me when he said they were not liberators and really showed himself up. Also, Pastor Jerome referencing pre-colonial West African Christian communities was very enriching, a lot of the time I am the only Christian in the room when I am reasoning with my Pan African brothers and this has definitely given me language, perspective and information that will help me defend my position but of course in the spirit of love, community and black liberation.

You can have a group of Africans who were christians in a particular region but maybe there were a certain number who didn't convert to christianity who lived in that region as well. Just because christianity was in a certain region doesn't mean that every single person in that region accepted it and embraced it. It's just like in some families, the mother goes to church and takes her children but the father stays home and is not a christian. And there have been mothers in certain households who have even allowed their children at a certain age to decide whether they wanted to go to church or not so they may have stayed home with the father and didn't become a Christian. Most won't experience this whether white or black because we still trying to prove superiority and continue to be distracted by the enemy! Let's not only read the word but apply it to our lives.

Im Liberian my great grandfather was chief Zoe in Liberia head of all the Zoe’s. Z can ask her family bout Kpangua(Pong-gway)Jallah. My Grandfather was next in line to take over for his father. They sacrificed to everything but my grandfather got saved because a missionary told him that Jesus is the only sacrifice that saves him and satisfies the creator. And as he did more studies he came to that conclusion himself. Christianity is a religion/culture of a brown people a North African people to be exact. Jesus is for the whole world. And while I love my culture and its traditions, there is only one thing that can save my soul and that’s the blood of Jesus. 💯

Moderators have to do better at being impartial at all times although they may share similar views and sentiments with some of their guests. At the beginning, Melek and Jarrod sat there and listened without interruptions for quite some time, and every time it was their time to speak, they were almost immediately interrupted. I mean did Jarrod speak at all?! 🤦🏾‍♂️ 😂

Melek really hit the nail on the head when he said Rehearsed. 1:00:03 The debate over all felt rushed and disingenuous. Damon and Jerome where arguing what they had rehearsed, but not discussing the perspectives. Why didn’t you all let melek and Jarrod expound more on their points? They actually had extremely strong points that needed more time to explain rather than to argue.

You're conflating preparation of a debate which focuses on research and sound argumentation, with rehearsing, which is going over a script for a play or performance. There is a difference. And what exactly are black people being liberated from in 2024 in the 21st Century? Because that seems more like an excuse. And how is appealing to African traditions the solution for black Americans, not only to unify but to thrive?
