BTW, Princess Estelle looks super lovely despite no tiara on her yet. She's just the ray of sunshine. Always smiles and very enthusiastic to engage with people around her. What a lovely princess!
Lovely to see all the dresses and jewels. The royal family had decided to invite “common” 18 year old men and women from all over Denmark - and all the royals were seated among them.
Yes! And the 18-year-olds had no idea in advance. Most thought they would be grouped together among themselves. They were very surprised when they were seated among the royals and other dignitaries. I think they all had a great time that evening - including the royals, because it was so different.

The young royals of Europe and older royals were seated among the young people. The whole thing was televised except when everyone was eating.

Catharina Amalia looked so beautiful! Her gown was gorgeous and so was the color of it and her tiara went perfectly with her gown….her clutch was stunning also. My favorite look for the entire event for sure. Question - do we know why no one from the British RF wasn’t at that party?
The mainland European monarchies socialize at a lot of events. The BRF typically only turn up if there's a major wedding or funeral and it's usually Edward and Sophie.
@@stephanienewhouse2056 Well, it was mostly in name only.... He really didn't have ties to either country. Well the danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Dutch royals are so closely related including culturally. Idk how well the Brit’s “fit in” with them… historically they never really went to many events in these courts. I think a couple visits to these countries is the norm for British royals. The British are also very patriotic in a way whereas the Nordic royals like to mix their different but similar cultures. Victoria, Mary and mette marit I believe are all god mothers to one of each others children and are very close friends in and outside of royal events. They hangout on a casual and private basis too.
I loved Catharina Amalia the best! I like her dress but her Tiara was the best. Blue is my favorite color. My favorite dress though was Crown Princess Mary.
I noticed from the pictures that it appears he was able to invite several of his peers. Mary's choice of tiara in it's original form may have been a sentimental one. Maybe the "blue" theme was only the crown prince family. The royal heirs all looked lovely.
They invited young leaders who have distinguished themselves in fields including culture, sport and charity and 2 18 year olds from every municipality in the country.
I love these videos! And I too LOVE Crown Princess Victoria’s dress. It’s gorgeous! And her daughter’s dress is lovely as well ! I agree the necklace is a tad too long, which is too bad because it looks amazing with the dress-other than being about 1 1/2 huge diamonds too long. 😉
#1 princess Mary; #2 Princess Elizabeth (I love her 50s Hollywood look) # 3 Princess Victoria (wish she had worn a different necklace). Ps.... I really like how your prenounced Princess Mette-Marit's name. Our daughters name is Mette; following my in-laws tradition of Norwegian names. Hi from 🇨🇦
Hello. Everyone in this charming gala looked gorgeous. The young ladies, the birthday lad celebrating being 18, and the rest of his guests. But, the best looking in the party, personal preference, of course, was the Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, mother of the birthday boy, and the young Princess Estelle of Sweden. Princess Mary’s dress looked exquisitely beautiful in her silhouette, even though I don’t really like shoulder less or even strapless dresses very much. The midnight blue color enhanced her skin color and her dark hair, and her tiara looked just fine as a compliment on her hair. On the other hand, the youngest lady at least that I saw on your video, Princess Estelle, looked very age appropriate on the beautiful pastel dress she wore, and the best complement was her beautiful innocent, full of hope face. She looked just great. Beautiful and interesting video. Best.🌼
Rewatching this video and just noticed the massive Sapphires Princess Mary has on her finger and wrist😮 they are massive stones and the colour is amazing!!!
About Ingrid Alexandra’s tiara. When Princess Ingeborg died, her granddaughter, and King Harald’s eldest sister, Princess Ranghild inherited the tiara. When she died, she wanted it to be Ingrid Alexandra’s gift for her 18th birthday. A very nice gesture from Princess Ragnhild and her family. The Tiara is with other words Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s very own tiara.
All the young ladies were gorgeous. Crown Princess Mary absolutely outshined everyone. I didn't personally like the Crown Princess of Greece or Norway but that's my opinion. I did notice that Mary's daughters were wearing a lower heel shoe & Marie had Athena in a higher heeled sparkling shoe & she had difficulty walking.
Personally I am waiting for Princess Leonor of Spain to attend one of these galas. I would love to see her in a tiara soon and I love the Spanish collection of tiaras.
Mary looked gorgeous and some of the younger ones - just wow. Perhaps they were doing a bit of match making for Christian 😂😂. Loved the story of the ‘left behind shoe’. Perfect response. 🙏🙏👵🇦🇺
I highly doubt that. He is related to all of the Princesses who were at the party, and even if they weren't, royal protocol prohibits an immediate heir to the throne of marrying another immediate heir. All the foreign Princess in attendance, are future Queens. And there's an unspoken rule in the Danish royal family, that they must find a bride outside Denmark's borders. The last Danish King to marry a Dane, was King Frederik the VII 200 years ago.
Totally with you on Cr Princess Mary getting the best gown/best overall look at her eldest child’s 18th birthday gala! So nice to see all these future Queens Regnant in attendance (afterall they are all cousins!) have there ever been this many as most European houses have adopted Absolute Primogeniture in the girls’ favor!!! One of them should snap up my fave Dane, Count Felix of Monzepat so he can be elevated back to his regal Princely Stature!!! I hope the person who left the Cinderella slipper was NOT that girl from Bourbon Two Sicilies who keeps trying WAY TO HARD to insinuate herself into Prince Christian’s circle. Ughhhh…trying to hard yet again?!!! Great insights on this one! Hugs, Michael Albuquerque NM USA
You are mistaken about the bracelets of the Princess of Orange. She is not wearing the bracelets of Queen Emma's Sapphire set but the bracelets of the diamond and sapphire wedding gift set of Queen Wilhelmina. They have been altered slightly but are of a very different design than the ones of Queen Emma. The Dutch collection has two sets of two diamond and sapphire bracelets. Btw the Princess of Orange wore Manolo Blahnik shoes: the same shoes Carrie Bradshaw got for her wedding to mr Big.
unfortunately the court jeweller was wrong in it's description. Look at the photo's of Queen Maxima wearing the large version of the Sapphire tiara and the dress with the floral applications on the skirt. Taken in the Royal Palace in Amsterdam a few years ago. She is wearing the bracelets from Queen Emma@@RoyalFashionNews
The necklace crown Princess Victoria is wearing isn’t the Connaught scarab necklace(the necklace which the voice over refers to is made up of multiple multicolored scarabs falling down a straight line from the base of the wearer’s throat down to the middle of their chest) The necklace she’s wearing is actually queen Josephine’s stomacher in it’s necklace form. Unlike the scarab necklace It was not privately owned by Princess Lillian but it was one of her favorites to wear because she thought it matched well with the laurel wreath(similar to how Victoria wore the two pieces here)
Great comment! I pointed that out and got a rather short and strange response pointing to an other creator “the court jeweler”(who by the way had the correct name for the necklace). Brittany further explained that she referred to the style of the piece rather than the name of the necklace. If she didn’t say scarab the only other word I can guess she is saying is scabbard, but I cannot for the life of me understand how “a sheath for the blade of a sword or dagger” explain the style of the necklace.
Just FYI the correct pronunciation for Princess Benedikte (it is pronounced "Benedict-ah"). "Benedict" is the male pronunciation, and she is a blood princess therefore she does not use her husbands first name (which also he is not Benedict).
Just for your info. The son of Princess Benedicte and hid now wife, they had no child while they were only dating because it would be born out of wedlock. So it could not inherit the title and other inheritance... Princess Ingrid Alexandra's tiara was not purchased for her but was given to her by children of late Prinxess Rabghilde whom wrote her will and it was m3ntioned there.
Crown Princess Mary will look even more sensational once she is elevated To Queen Consort of Denmark and then she will be able to wear Queen Margrethe’s heavy-hitting tiaras, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets that are currently reserved only for the sovereign. The emerald parure comes to mind as it’s a set of faceted, very high-quality emeralds and diamonds that would show off beautifully with her coloring. Also in the crown jewels’ is the diamond parure which is quite exquisite and very vwluable. Plus the queen inherited a great many pieces, many from Russia, which are very impressive and these pieces sit in the queen’s personal collection. Perhaps you’ve seen the Queen wearing a large beautiful dark blue sapphire necklace with large cushion cut sapphires, very fine stones, surrounded by diamonds and all hung on an adjustable chain where it can go from choker length to near opera length. Bottom line, there are many more baubles sitting in Daisy’s safe that will undoubtably be inherited by Crown Princess Mary.
It’s more likely that they will be inherited by Crown Prince Frederik, not his wife although she will be the one to wear them. Her grandkids, especially her granddaughters will most likely inherit some of her jewelry, while some pieces will remain in the hands of the sovereign whoever that may be in the future after Prince Christian. The Crown Jewels are the property of the state and only the queen can borrow and use them. They are never taken abroad on state visits. Whether Mary will use them when she becomes queen remains to be seen.
@@julianneheindorf5757 Yes, you are correct and I agree with everything you said. Yes, technically it will be Frederik who inherits the vast majority of Margrethe’s estate along with most of her personal jewelry though she can (and I’m sure will) leave other pieces to Joachim and/or her grandchildren. Remember, Queen Ingrid left the ruby parure to Frederik and various tiaras and other jewels to her other daughters. You know that Mary will wear the Crown Jewels. It would be expected of her and that’s why they exist, to be worn by the Queen.
@@julianneheindorf5757The Emerald tiara that Roholi mentioned, is however not the property of any royal. It's part of the Crown Jewel collection and therefore is owned by the State. It is also the only tiara in the Danish Crown jewel collection.
I think it's not fair for someone to have to choose between love and their royal inheritance and place in history. Several couples had to wait years to marry someone who was not approved by the parents. If they were patient, love won, but many royals gave up and married someone to avoid losing their place in the line of succession (e.g. the Prince of Monaco who had a long relationship with a black lady and even had a child with her).
Crown Princess Mary always hit it out of the ballpark with her fashion!
Plus her “off the shoulder” dress was appropriate for this event…compared to MeeMeee!!!
Love Mary❤

Catharina Amalia looked so beautiful! Her gown was gorgeous and so was the color of it and her tiara went perfectly with her gown….her clutch was stunning also. My favorite look for the entire event for sure. Question - do we know why no one from the British RF wasn’t at that party?
The mainland European monarchies socialize at a lot of events. The BRF typically only turn up if there's a major wedding or funeral and it's usually Edward and Sophie.
@@jessicaandersson4313 Which is rather surprising as Prince Philip was a prince of Greece and Denmark.
@@stephanienewhouse2056 Well, it was mostly in name only.... He really didn't have ties to either country. He didn't spend time there, he didn't speak any of the languages etc. Greece is one of the few countries QEII never made an official visit to due to Philips history. He did have a lot of ties to Germany though but their royals usually only attend family events.
@@stephanienewhouse2056they visited in private and the late King Konstantin - married to prinsesse Anne-Marie of Denmark -lived in London in exile 19:01 for Many years so they visited in private.
I love the royal family of Denmark so real
Yay the Denmark gala summary!!!!
I loved Catharina Amalia the best! I like her dress but her Tiara was the best. Blue is my favorite color. My favorite dress though was Crown Princess Mary.
I simply love Mette Marits bracelt! So chick
Thanks for expanding my Royal families addiction 😂😂😂
Of course!! All the royals are fabulous!!
I love the dresses and tiaras. I love how modest and classy most of the dresses are.
@@jessicaandersson4313 And two 18 year olds from each Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
Love the taupe dress. Fits perfectly.
GBU Crown Princess Mary looked fabulous fr the event and her children 💕
Best look was undoubtedly Crown Princess Mary
💎 my favorite Tiara is the Stuart Tiara! ❤❤❤ Queen Maxima knows how to bring it!
beautiful Princess Mary and her elegant gown. we missed yuo from down under;)
Crown Princess Mary could wear a burlap sack and make it look stunning.
What a thoroughly charming event. 😊
Queen Margrethe, CP Mary looked amazing!
He looks so much like his mother.
The very red lipstick is worn for the sake of photographs. It shows up better than a milder shade would.
They were all lovely!!
Hi from 🇨🇦
A princesa Mary a mais feliz de todos. Linda comemoração do príncipe Cristhiano❤👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍🏼
Best.🌼
💎 Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara So delicate.
Enjoyed the tiaras!!! Very sparkly ✨️ 💖 ✨️ Hope your paper went well. To have your health. Be thankful. Anyways, take care and have fun!!! 😎😀😎
Rewatching this video and just noticed the massive Sapphires Princess Mary has on her finger and wrist😮 they are massive stones and the colour is amazing!!!
They don't care what you think 😂 neither do I 😂
Beautiful dresses and stunning tiaras, I'm still so unhappy we had none at King Charles Coronation. I love tiaras ❤
Since there are several women in pinks/reds, naybe the chosen colors were blues/pinks/reds and not just blues.
In my opinion, princess Estelle is the most beautiful in this night.
I agree Crown Princess Mary was the most beautifully dressed Princess of the whole Gala
Princess Victoria looked the best imo
So lovely. Thank you.
👑 how exciting for Prince Christian ❤️🇨🇦
All the young ladies were gorgeous. Crown Princess Mary absolutely outshined everyone. I didn't personally like the Crown Princess of Greece or Norway but that's my opinion. I did notice that Mary's daughters were wearing a lower heel shoe & Marie had Athena in a higher heeled sparkling shoe & she had difficulty walking.
My favorite piece from QE is the grand success Vladimir tiara💎
Personally I am waiting for Princess Leonor of Spain to attend one of these galas. I would love to see her in a tiara soon and I love the Spanish collection of tiaras.
3:16 No, i think Princess Marie's oufit is perfect
2:24 Queen Margrethe's eyes are so beautiful

That information was taken from the Court Jeweller is an incredible resource! Thanks for watching!!
unfortunately the court jeweller was wrong in it's description. Look at the photo's of Queen Maxima wearing the large version of the Sapphire tiara and the dress with the floral applications on the skirt. Taken in the Royal Palace in Amsterdam a few years ago. She is wearing the bracelets from Queen Emma@@RoyalFashionNews
ماشاءالله تبارك الله عليكم جميعان منورين وحلوين كثير كثير الله يبارك فيكم جميعان ويطيل اعماركم وكل عام وانتم بالف خير وصحة وعافية وسلامه وسعاده
The necklace crown Princess Victoria is wearing isn’t the Connaught scarab necklace(the necklace which the voice over refers to is made up of multiple multicolored scarabs falling down a straight line from the base of the wearer’s throat down to the middle of their chest)
The necklace she’s wearing is actually queen Josephine’s stomacher in it’s necklace form.
Love the taupe dress with the gloves and dark pink sash. It fit perfectly. Queen or princess? Mary was also stunning.
Trust me if there had been a blue theam the Queen woud have worn blue! After all it was her that was the host.
I loved that blue sapphire and diamond tiara at the end....
💎I can’t wait till Princess Charlotte is old enough to wear a tiara!
Proud of our Crownprincess Amalia!😊
Prince Christian has that presence of his great grandfather King Frederic IX of Denmark
I'm pretty sure that Marie-Chantal or her parents tracked down the tiara and purchased it.
A lot of European queens to come and a couple of kings. Lovley kids all of them.
Definitely think CP Victoria looked the best overall- hair, make-up, jewelry , and gown were all totally fabulous
