Let's Ride [LR] - as opposed to, Let Me Ride Your Bike [LMRYB]
What do you think is more fitting?
On the Honda CBR650R LAM's/A2 edition, but technically it's been fully derestricted & tuned, so not quite your average stock build. Nonetheless, a special thanks to the owner, it was a great experience.

So happy to see my front wheel up in the air. Killed yet another video! Maybe next time, we do a drag race 😅
‘R7 vs CBR650R’ I like the sound of that 👀👀

Is it possible to buy an aftermarket up and downshifter with auto blip for this bike? Please let me know because I will buy one and send you noods if it’s possible
Quickshifter definitely transforms any bike into a new experience, love it!
I need one 😩😩
I'm 15 and already saving up money for this bike. I hardly spend any money to make my dream come true and buy this motorcycle.
we are the same hahahah
i did the same, tomorrow i will have it!
@@lucioster how do you like it bro, just bought mine :D
@@dev_kvcs I LOVE IT! If I ride chill I can get 2.9/2.4 L/100KM, BUT when I ride hard it’s a punch in my wallet 😂. But honestly, it doesn’t really matter, because it’s quite an exciting bike, I ride it every day for hours and I don’t get any type of pain because it’s soo comfortable. Also, this bike is full of agility and maneuverability, so it’s very fun to ride on Italian roads.
BUY A FRAME SLIDER!!! Because this bike haves a weak point on the side fairings next to the front!!! So if you drop it, it will probably break, and it’s SUPER EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE and it’s hard to find! So buy adeguate protection for the bike!!!
@@dev_kvcshow do u like yours?? i’m tryna get one soon!
Sounds sick🔥 I'm so used to hearing the MT-07 & R7 exhaust sound. It feels refreshing to see something different
Couldn't agree more, has me craving a 4cyl bike now lol
@@frissonyt I just recently got my mt07 destricted, ecu flashed and retuned and its a completely different bike. The unique sound and mt 07 brings is like the boxer engine of the subaru wrx sti.
Yeah, the inline-4 makes the sound of the exhaust roar at higher rpm. It's great
I really love both bikes they are great starter choices, also the fact you can de restrict them after you get fully licensed is a great option
Without a doubt!!
Dude the 650R is a way better bike than the R7 just in quality alone.
The sound alone with an akrapovic or sc project is already 1673 times better
@@stfu63974cyl kills
The R7 is more of a pure track bike. This CBR is the better all-rounder. You get some nice bells & whistles with the R7, like a proper track seating position, adjustable suspension, radial master for the front brakes... Kind of a pain for regular road riding, actually 🤔
R7 for look CBR650R for sounds and performance.
This video out of most on youtube made me buy the CBR650R thanks bro
Absolutely gorgeous bike can't wait to get one one day 😫😫
Absolutely loved the video bro! I got a 2022 CBR650R for my first bike and I absolutely love it. Obviously it is still restricted, but for a new rider I really do find it to be pretty much the perfect bike. There isn't a tonne of low end torque to throw off a new rider, but it's still quite fast, very pretty and sounds amazing once you start getting higher in the revs (unfortunately the stock exhaust is ridiculously quiet). As you mentioned, it is an incredibly comfortable bike. I went out for a 7 hour long ride with it and was absolutely fine.
Can't wait for the day when I also de-restrict and put on a new exhaust 😃
Having said all of that, I'm also keen to try the R7, just to feel that torque hit me in the face haha.
Love to hear this!! Thanks for watching :))
What do you mean by restricted?
@@manishneelgar855 it's a learner approved bike, so the power output is limited by 50% due to physical restrictions with the air funnels.
That thing is NUTS. For a 650 as well🤯. Picking one up next month but A2 restricted to 47… to start with. I can’t see many occasion where you’d be riding this and think “I wish I was on a CBR1000RR”
This video gets me so fucking excited and I don’t even own the bike!! Can’t wait to buy my CBR650R (first bike) soon!!! 🎉🔥🔥 Thumbs up.
checking in on ya a year later, hope you got the bike man. definitely going to be my starter next spring!
Cbr dominates on highway, sound, and ergonomics. R7 dominates on track, mountains, and looks
R7 feels like a kids toy & sounds like a pitbike. Cbr feel and rides as a sports bike should.
The first of other motorcycle test 👏👏✌️
Now you know the power 😌
I got a cbr650r, mines got the all the boxes ticked by rb racing, pushing 90 wheel hp, from the stock 39 it’s a serious toy, I noticed your not getting much past 10k rpm, there is soo much more power in it aswel, hard to push it past at night tho long ass gears 🎉, sick video
Probably a good idea to learn the controls before jumping on a new bike at dark :')
Suite right👍
quite right
I agree 😩
Why
@@barbara6982 emergency
Being that the 650r is only 700$ more I would go with it. That’s why they are compared to each other because they are so close in price!
Keep on the gas and use your back brake to regulate the wheelie, on a bike you arnt familiar with that always works best for me. I never use the throttle to regulate a wheelie on a bike I dont know. And what a bike it is! I love the sound of that bike!
I had an accident not too long ago, 2019 cbr650r with mussari exhaust derestricted, no quickshifter I miss it sooo much man
Stay patient, legend! Your time will come again soon 🫶
Amazing rider !!
like this motorcycle, hopefully I can buy it in the future.
I´m waiting for the 2023 model... that bike sounds so fking good
It was a lot of fun!
@@frissonyt i still have to wait 1 entire month... im jealous of u🤣
Is the 2023 model different? im about to buy one myself and idk anything about the 2023 model
@@sergioarp8276 it´s not announced yet, Honda stand here in Portugal said to expect it by September, but i dont really believe in that. But it will be the same as 2022, and if they change something is cosmetic and it´s minimal
There will be no differents. 2022=2033 thats what my honda dealer tells me
What exhaust does it have on it?
CBR650R. Good Bike.
That sound on R7,would make it the best bike.I still cannot decide between R7 and CBR 650R
easy, restricted r7 unrestricted cbr650r ! got the cbr for 2 years now
R7 is lighter, has fully adjustable suspension front and back. You should watch some reviews on the two.
@@ChevyCorvetteZ i did already,i love R7
@@robertpreda4435 nice nice
The r7 feels like a cheep toy @ChevyCorvetteZ cbr feels like a bike
it is my favourite bike, and my dream is, to buy it in 2 months. do you think i should buy it with the quickshifter, or without?
what are your night time settings for your GoPro 10 at night ? quality was super clear
I have the cb650 and I actually got it just to i could rev the shit out of it. Its a good motor. Beginner friendly but not a beginner bike
Beginner friendly but not a beginner bike, this is really accurate
what is your intercom bluetooth headset
I moved from an xsr700 (retro version of the mt07) to the cbr650r ... The cp2 engine is a league behind the cbr .. everything on the yamaha felt clunky compared to the cbr ..
Even if r7 packed a better suspension I dont think it will be a match in any way to the cbr .. I think r7 should just not be compared to a cbr650r .. yamaha gets the market right and offers great products at a great price point but honda just builds better products at a slight premium to cost ..
Sick bike! Which one do you prefer?
Not sure which one I should go for, that 4cyl sound is so hot 😳😳
I prefer the R7, but I am a bit bias. They are both great options!
ive got the 650F derestricted. ive lightened it up a few kg so its on par with 650R with weight and power, about 94kw on 210kg. i cant tell the difference between the R and F once it was derestricted. they both go hard equally and handle identicle. always been a kwaka Z guy but the CBR is a well built little bike.
94kw?! howd u get that much power? what have u done to it?
@@ianianianianianianian OH SHIT.....it was a genuine typo...i meant 64kw.
Wild how this is a learner allowed bike
Bro please let me know. What's the exhaust. Please. 🥺💖💖
This thing ehm...is fun man *proceeds to take off* 😂
So your bike is a A2/learner bike?
Im currently coming from the naked version ( CB650R) and I liked it in the beginning aswell. But over the year now I grew tired of having to always rev it into high rpms in order to get some acceleration.
I actually want to buy the R7 next year because of the CP2 Engine.
Now that you have ridden both would you recommend me getting the r7 or stay with my CB650R?
Edit: you could potentially always drive in 1. or 2. gear sure and that makes a lot of fun but only for like 5-10 minutes it’s not really something that’s attainable for an hour long tour or cruising trough the mountains you know ?
If you want the torque down low, I’d definitely recommend the R7 over the CBR cause yeah, it does take a second with the cbr but once it gets into the high rpm it really gets going hahah
I tend to find myself in 3rd the most while up in the mountain bends, 4th or 5th for cruising
@@frissonyt you know what, i really love the looks of the R7 ( im probably yamaha biased since my first bike was a yzf r125) and your vids were actually one of the main factors for me to get a R7 soon.
So many people in my social enviroment tell me not to get the R7 because its too underpowered for the street and it wont make fun, or they say its only usefull as a lams (a2) bike and i would waste my money on it.
But when i found your videos it really showed me that it comes down to how you ride the bike and i actually recommend those people to watch your videos to prove them somewhat wrong.
So yeah i will most likely get a R7 rather than staying on my CB650R, keep up the good content.
Always know that you and your videos inspired atleast one other rider (me) to get the R7 :)
I don’t know…the cbr carries an extra 20 or so kgs, the r7 is indisputably better looking, I believe the r7 is built in Japan like the mt07 and the cbr is built in Thailand, I’ve been told by a yamaha dealer that you can get the quickshifter intended for the HO version for the lams as well for only $180 (Healtech do one for $500 and translogic do one for $750), fully adjustable suspension on the yamaha as well, the yamaha has lots going for it. I will admit, it’s hard to beat the sound of an inline 4 engine. And sound means so much when it comes to motorcycles because it’s the sound that evokes emotion. No hate to your mates bike, it’s a sweet and ferocious machine, but I think I’d go the r7. If you had to do it all over again, would go the r7 or the cbr?
Couldn’t have said it better myself, you touched on things even I missed! If I could go back I still undoubtedly would choose my R7 but I’m a little bias 😂
Still though, that 4cylinder has me really craving a real sports bike soon 😈
Keep in mind the cbr650r is quicker too, nearly full second on the 1/4 mile I believe
does the exhaust have db killer or is it removed
4 cyl lesgoo
I need a 4cyl bike in my life, one day 🙏
that's the A2 version?
this bike sounds sooooo f*cking good for a 95ps bike
Which exhaust is used in this bike.
dayum wth I just know this bike exist
Do a sv650 next man, I would let you ride mine but I believe you don't live in Sydney
If I can find someone local who will let me use it for a video, I’d gladly!! (I actually did consider getting this sv650 when I knew literally nothing about bikes)
@@frissonyt sorry to bother again mate, do you have a video on your gopro helmet setup?
I'm really thinking about starting on this bike now because it has the 4 cyl engine over the ninja 650 it is a bit faster but do you guys recommend starting on this?
why not?
guys how to put it head up like 4:22 ?
Poser
Gday, great video these bikes make a nice sound between 6,000 & 7,000 rpm & up. I at times like sitting on 7,000 rpm.
I have a matte black 2020 CBR650R, I have just over 20,000 kilometres on it now.
I never changed the stock exhaust as to me it sounds great out of the box. Recently I got OEM quickshifter & heated grips fitted.
At a later date I thinking of getting the bronze wheels for it like what are on the CB650R.
If I get a bigger bike or bikes in future I plan to still keep the 650 as it is a niche bike in a league of its own being a mid sized 4 cylinder.
I have a R1 in mind in future & also a CBX1000 if I get to that point. I also wouldn't mind a ZX6R & a Z650RS & a R7 if I had a bike collection.

The CBR650R from 2019 have one dangerous Problem, the Radiator is to small, if the Motor hot after drive to long time in high RPM, the Cooling Liquit will spray from the Expansionbottle to the rear Tyre.
The CBR650R is made by Honda Thailand and i was talk with a Honda Technican from Thailand, they know this Problem.
