i thought the same as well, i have tried a few times but it wasn't actually i wheelie .. i am too scared hurting the bike its a 24 model brand new! i don't care about me i am on full gear all the time, but if break the bike i will cry :P
NIce video! Two notes, you should disclose its a resticted CBR650R, the difference is noticiable and rolling the throttle full can get you in trouble. Also not a expert on wheelies, but for a slow speed wheelie they say use the front brake a bit so suspension is compressed and then release, while she is coming up give a bit of throttle so she come up easy without pulling much but as i said i never do wheelies, only curves :D
Having it restricted or not is up to the person legally it needs to be but that’s not fun mine is restricted of course 😉. You can use front break but it’s not needed as this thing comes up easy as but you should give it a go if you haven’t it’s fun
@@TornoRidez i believe what he was saying was that someone with an unrestricted bike should be more careful as. Rolling on the throttle like you did would have a greater effect.
If you get high and uncontrolled and press the rear brake hard for rescue, the mousetrap snaps and you land hard. Stay controlled before you go any higher.
Once you learn and apply this technique you can get most bikes to wheelie, however try your best to set the front end down as gently as possible or else you be replacing fork seals much sooner than later...
I have a cb650r that i just locked up the motor on from hitting 12 for too long and getting oil in the cylinders, make sure u get a clean air mod on your bike bro its a must for these
Awesome video bro, perfect timing on the release. Haven't been able to find and wheelie guides riding this bike. So its been hard using other video tips. I tried the 1st gear power wheelie, and 2nd gear clutch up. But I can't seem to get the front up. On the 1st gear, after hitting 40 and then giving it throttle, I don't feel any lift. It just accelerates/hits the redline. On clutch ups, when increase rev's and then release the clutch, it usually just gives me a jerk forward instead of any lift. Any additional tips? Thanks in advance! Ps. Bike sounds amazing!!
For anyone wondering I have a 2016 cbr650f heavier version of this and I can do it no problem. At first I couldn’t but I figured out the finesse and it lifts like nothing
Everyone tells me clutch ups are easier / safer to learn. I've got an MT09 and I've been practicing power wheelies as just rolling on the throttle will lift the front even in 2nd. I want to try clutch ups but the front comes up so quickly I'm too scared to flip it 😂
I have a 2024 MT-09 and in second gear it feels so neutered, I can't even power wheelie in that gear if I give it everything it's got... In first it comes up violently fast, however, just from pulling the throttle back lol.
I have the 24 MT-09 SP and it will come up in second even in LIF 2. Maybe you've got too much weight on the bars, try and sit back a little bit and put all your weight in your butt and have no weight on the bars. Full throttle second gear all the way from 5k up to 10k and it should lift up. Alternatively, put LIF in mode 1 (try Custom 1, everything is set to 1 apart from the throttle mapping which is set to 2 which is much nicer, more natural and you still get 100% throttle).
Dude, Im thinking of getting a used fireblade as a starter. Only getting it used because Im going to be dropping and shit, so I wouldn't want to get a new one. Have get used to riding and then maybe I can buy a new fireblade, is that a good way to start?
Ur getting a fireblade as your first ever bike? That's an awful idea, man, that is a monster of a bike. Extremely difficult to learn on. 650 is the perfect middle ground for starting a lot cheaper to especially on accidental drops.
bro 110+ nm in torque is no joke, coming from a cb650r to a mt09 with a less 100nm torque shocked me. Youre wasting your money. As a starter, you would learn its weight, clutch, power and dont forget maintenance u would destroy that bike if you don't do enough research and even if you did, experience is a different thing compared to theory
i could be practicing but there really isn't a convenient place to practice (lots of cop presence and snitches) so I'm typing this on the toilet. i remember I would pull the clutch in, close the throttle then blip twice real fast. but when I watched you it looked like you never closed the throttle, is this how it is. i have the 20 year old f4i
I’m assuming you mean as I do the wheelie so when I pop up I hold throttle open after I’ve dumped clutch but you should be able to get same height from power wheelie
hey man, i’ve got a 2015 cbr650f unrestricted since i’m in NA. My bike is unable to power wheelie and i’m really confused as to why. Is the difference between the F and the R that big?
Why would you want to wheely a supersport all the time, all it's doing is making your fork seals weaker. You can end up with a broken back and expensive fork job. Keep in mind those bikes weigh over 400 lbs plus your body weight going down on the fork. Any how nice video bro.👍
a month late. or more like i’ve been slacking for 2 years i should have already been riding. But I swear on my pathetic useless life I will buy a bike in 4 months. 4 months from now. after my foot heals after being fractured I will work 3 months non stop for a CBR 600RR. I don’t care what i do for this bike anymore this is the goal. Instead of me continueing to smoke in my room everyday. I will die on my highway going 150. But that’s in 4 months I will own and die on a cbr 600rr
I appreciate the the guide, very interesting. I have a cbr650r also. You may want to take it down though as it shows dangerous riding and incriminates you. Interesting, I didn’t know. Why didn't the engine just get too little oil since oil pump couldn't suck up the oil at 12 o'clock?
I am wondering, could you wheelie a new CBR 650R with E-clutch?
Nailed it perfectly, would just add that power wheelies are more unsafe.
Ride safe bro
They are not clutch up u can loop easily power wheelies u can’t it also helps rear brake control in my opinion
Matee thats awesome I can easily slip the clutch and get it up in first but cant do it in second. Gonna give this a shot. Cheers 💪

when you train muscle memory - you hold the rear brake when you give gas or just tap the rear brake?
Only tap it when u go back far enough you don’t really use it unless you hitting 12 or about to flip 😂

what speed and rpm do you clutch kick? or do you just power wheelie?
