Jessica Chanstain is an example to follow, she is not a nepobaby, she comes from a humble family who had many difficulties with the money, with absent father who did not take care, dealing with the suicide of her sister, achieved a scholarship in juliard, entered the business in her 30s, and in the face of all the limitations that the industry imposed on her today is an OSCAR WINNER ACTRESS.
Ouch that's one sad life. I only know that Al Pacino gave her some sort of scholarship which is absolutely amazing. I mean imagine getting a scholarship from THE Al Pacino man..... couldn't her life get any better than that?? So happy to see her rise like this 🙌🙌
Omg yes. I’ve spent good time watching and comparing actors to the real-life persons and she really did transform. Two completely different body types and auras.
She was absurdly deserving. I was mesmerized by the fact that she comes back to her comedic side in this, then shifts to drama and shows for the first time her singing voice. Marvelous
Jessica Chastain deserved to win. Her take on Tammy Faye was spot on. She brought so much heart and respect to a woman who deserved better and who was a true believer. Jessica's performance was so flawless that even her voice on the recordings is just like Tammy Faye's. Congratulations to Jessica and her team. Tammy Faye must be smiling down on us!
Let's not forget that Jessica has been working on this movie since 2012 when she bought the rights for the figure's life. Let's just say that her effort a decade later was absolutely worth it
Well said Ernie! Also, I loved your comment in the GD post-show livestream where you said, "To those who switched to Cruz, OUCH!" I switched to predicting Cruz two nights before the Oscars, but was so happy to be proven wrong! Chastain deserved to win!
Overlooked ? Glenn Close, Amy Adams are the definition of overlooked. She got to win in her second nomination and its only a decade after her first nomination. People take 3-4 decades to get nominated the second time. So your defination of overlooked isn't applicable here.
I meant "overlooked" as in she's given many nomination-worthy performances. And Glenn Close is literally my favorite living actress. My heart dropped when she lost for "The Wife." She's so overdue!
@@toobevr1244 SAME!! Glenn Close is not losing anymore. The Academy hates her! GLENN CLOSE is the QUEEN OF ACTING FOR ME!! She should have won Oscar for Help … as someone who is a social outcast himself … I can really understand the pain she was portraying … especially her letting go of things in the end

Finally, Oscars! Jessica Chastain's Oscar win was only half of this legendary moment. Her follow up speech was beautiful. Unlike most in Hollywood, Jessica actually cares about people as a whole. The greatest actor on the planet by far.
I'm so delighted that Jessica is finally an Oscar Winner. I always thought that she should have won for "Dark Zero Thirty", but it's been rectified now.

This was my favorite win of the night! Jessica Chastain is one of the greatest actors working today, and her performance in The Eyes of Tammy Faye was brilliant! She nailed her dialect, mannerisms etc. Great group of nominees, but Chastain was the rightful winner.
I'm so glad Jessica Chastain won for this film, it was a career best performance from what I've seen her in - plus the fact she did her own singing for the soundtrack made her win even more deserved
the fact she used a platform like an oscar acceptance speech to speak out for the LGBTQ+ community really warmed my heart. she’s a truly beautiful person inside and out, hope she gets all the good karma heading her way forward❤
