They're acting like nothing happened.
Lol
Lol
That's brothers for ya
What a sick joke
Chicanery!
And he gets to be an interviewee? What a sick joke!
Solid joke.
He orchestrated it! Orphandick!
And you! You have to stop him!
chicanery is now in a large yet still very niche lexicon 🍳
This is chicanery!!
It looks like Chuck hasn't noticed the lit lamp behind them yet. Nobody tell him.
👀💀
Lol
Very little bothers you when you are a reanimated corps...
It looks like the lamp might be turned up to 11 as well.
The fact micheal McKean is 77 and still seems sharp and with a youthfulness is wonderful to see... over the years he's done great work.
Truly astounding❤
Most 77 year olds are still mentally sharp.
Seeing Bob and Michael enjoying each others company is very cathartic after watching Better Call Saul, seeing all of Jimmy's and Chuck's interactions😭
There's a Mr. Show sketch in which McKean plays a law professor and Odenkirk plays a law student. Worth checking out.
Edit: McKean brings it up in this interview 😂
Precisely!
That is the beauty of this art form!
Regards.
it's wholesome seeing these two share laughs and good moments, can't say the same for the mcgill brothers
"The Winner Takes It All" scene tho. An oasis of wholsomeness in their tragic relationship.
Yea because its not real, you know that right?
@@takingiteasy17 wow you are fast
@@takingiteasy17 Friend, you are not the one to question anyone else's knowledge
@@fam3871 That wasn't really wholesome... Chuck pushed Jimmy out and took over completely. It was showing Chuck never wanted Jimmy to be the center of attention. He was always jealous of his charisma.
She thought I was Bob Odenkirk because I thought I was Bob Odenkirk. - Kevin Costner
Jimmy and Chuck in the afterlife finally setting aside their differences.
... I prefer them as undead reanimated corps'.
Its good seeing jimmy and chuck getting along and moving on from the past
Wow their #1 fan!
Chuck’s corpse is chill af
Michael McKean is my hero. For real. He's been great in all his project choices and he chooses really well. He seems like a really nice person too.
Girl - You're not Bob Odenkirk!
Kevin Costner - I was last night!
Kevin Costner is a nobody to me
@@vario6492 Ha! Bob Odenkirk is "Nobody" to me! Loved that movie.
That was hilarious...
@@vario6492he's not a real actor!
This is one of the greatest casting, they almost look alike
Whenever they had scenes together I always noticed how similar their facial structures were. They look like brothers.
@@azyy1248 I don't see the resemblance at all, but I do love the two of them playing brothers - they played excellently off each other
@@SimBol1216 Some people have a very weak ability to recognize faces but don't know it. They think everyone is like that, and they don't get why some people don't see what they see. Thinking 2 non-related people look like is the biggest sign. A normal brain sees a face and thinks "This is a unique face, I will store it in my memory for later", but people with poor facial recognition see a face and immediately think "THIS LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE ELSE, AND I NEED TO SAY IT OUT LOUD". They literally can't help themselves. Think about all the times you've seen a comment on youtube trying to crack a joke about someone resembling someone else, like "Soandso isn't too doing well these days LMAO". They don't know that it's not funny and that they're wrong.
@@Connection-Lost Its ok man youll make it through this
@@abcdefzhij😂😂😂
Bob is right about when a comedian performs in a drama and shows that it's something he or she can do very well. And people act like it's rare and mind-blowing.
It's about the type of comedy, I think though. Bob was being kind talking about "modulation". (For some it'd probably have to be a modulation *from* zero!). You could kind of see there were people in his mind who couldn't do it, but he didn't want to name names. I think a few would come to our minds easily as well. It'd be great if they could, but the less disciplined, less 'committed', as they mentioned, would likely struggle.
Sarah Silverman was terrific in "I Smile Back".
It's possible that, had he lived, John Belushi would have been nominated for Best Actor in a dramatic role.
Orphan Dick has to be the most hilarious name
McKean = genius
McKean will always be an immortal legend in my eyes solely for being Mr. Green in Clue. Everything else he’s done in his career is just gravy.
He's so funny in that. One of my favorites
Absolutely love Better Call Saul!
"Bob Odenkirk with a handful of questions cards? That's like a chimp with a machine gun!!!"
Bob is too kind and humble, he truly helped mold the farcical idea that people are not static. Actors have molds but often can bend to the ability of their directors. He is a legend in his own right, I wish people could see just how big an impact he made BEFORE breaking bad or better call Saul, he is a genius mind wrapped in the body of entertainment but threads the needle with such human certainty, there's no topping what bob does.:. He truly should go down in history as one of the greats.
I can’t believe they had so much insight into their characters after only one season, I thought this was a conversation after the show was over. Best tv sequel ever , bcs and bb are godfather 1 and 2
Damnit, I can't commit to the idea that they're not brothers. Hats off to them for being so good at their crafts
loved Michael McKean when he was Murphy Brown's teenage boyfriend and also when for some reason he transformed into Mulder in the X-Files and flirted in a very silly way with Scully and then in Better Call Saul he played Chuck made me admire him for the excellent actor he is!
I really enjoyed this. Thanks very much.
What an awesome sit down! Two amazing actors
I love this. Could listen to these two for hours.
I believed they were the McGill brothers when they were on Better Call Saul. Just great television.
What a captivating, original, amazing show and cast.
STOPPPP I'VE BEEN WANTING MORE INTERVIEWS
Me and My Brother absolutely love Better Call Saul! Yesterday is was his Birthday, and this was quite a treat to watch. Perfect Timing!! 🎉
these are both amazing actors, it feels so weird to see them both not hate each other
Two fellas for whom I'm greatly appreciative
of their contributions to "the art". Peace! 🌱✌
Love seeing these two together. We need another season of this show please!!
Don't get your hopes up
A skit where older Jimmy in jail get haunted by Chuck ghost would be amazing
Seeing these two together is bliss. Their own personalities are a big part of the succes of their characters in the show.
Aside from the dramatic scenes between the two (which are great) I really liked them singing together “the winner takes it all” by ABBA in the episode “winner”
David St Hubbins really settled down . There will never be another The New Originals !
My favorite episode of Law and Order had Michael McKeon and his lovely wife Annette O'Toole as hucksters who have created their own religion so to speak. They were both wonderful in it and there was a marvelous twist at the end with both characters changing dramatically and they pulled it off with ease.
Fun fact: Bob was required to put his cell phone in the mailbox before coming to this interview.
When I first noticed Bob Odenkirk on the Ben Stiller show (which I remember specifically remembering his name because its Odenkirk which was something I wanted to remember because I loved that show and his name stood out the most to me of the people I didnt already know on that show) I knew that he'd one day be in a lot of great shows somewhere in the late 2000s thru 2010s. And then somehow he'd be in an action movie. I knew it all along.
I'm gifted.
Wow! I haven't heard "The Goodies" or Bill Oddie mentioned in years. Nice to know Bob and I were enamored of some of the same British off-the-wall silly stuff!
Ed Begley Jr. was considered the front runner for the character of Chuck McGill.
Either due to time constraints for Ed being cast on Lady Dynamite or Michael having more time to do the role it was awarded to McKean.
Love these guys soo much
absolutely blessed video movie flicker GOAT🏆
So nice to see Chuck and Jimmy happy
Damn, that moment when you realize Michael McKean is the only left from Laverne & Shirley. 😞
From the main cast of "Laverne & Shirley," Michael McKean, who played Leonard "Lenny" Kosnowski, is currently the only surviving leading member. Cindy Williams, who portrayed Shirley Feeney, passed away in January 2023
And Carole Ita White who played Big Rosie Greenbaum is still around!
The Big Ragu is gone too
it’s crazy how early they knew the exact relationship their characters had with their mother
Some part of me needed this 😢
Two godly good actors
Great actors, great series. Just about perfect.
Yep!
Wonderful - and unexpected - to hear them talk about the Goodies, Bill Oddie, I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again and all that UK sketch show stuff. Really cool chat.
It's nice to see Jimmy and Chuck getting along.
I was a big Odenkirk fan from Mr.Show and Tim and Eric I was so happy when he showed up in BB.
Fun fact: Gillian said "get the Mr show guy". He wanted Cross but casting thought he wanted Odenkirk.
How did McKean never win an Emmy for Chuck?
Wow. It's Chuck and Jimmy. Playing nice 😂😊👍
McKean is a great all around talent. Drama, comedy and his musical abilities are awesome. Lenny and the Suigtones should be in the rock and roll hall of fame. Oh! And Spinal Tab!!!
Interesting how much British music and comedy influenced America in the 60s, 70s and 80s.
I am not crazy! I know he swapped those numbers. I knew it was 1216. One after Magna Carta. As if I could ever make such a mistake. Never. Never!
📄
Chuck was always right.
HE DEFECATED THROUGH A SUNROOF!
I wonder if Michael McKean hears people yell "Lenny" or "Chuck" more when he is walking down the street.
I just wanted Kim and jimmy to be together in the end. Yes, we got that. Yes, Saul got what we he deserved. But I’m left still with some hole with thinking I wish jimmy would have been able to just do the 7 years. Idk why. Saul was bad. Is still bad. And Saul’s still in there (inside jimmy). They are one… always will be. Idk. I’ll never stop thinking about it …. Jimmy wanted to be good. But he just couldn’t. In some alternate universe in my head he is with Kim, they share an office as partners at law. They have takeout every night and snuggle.. Occasional small viktor and Giselle but nothing huge. Life is good.
Kim and jimmy were insanely toxic together idk why you’d wish that
Comedic actors make the best dramatic actors
Iam glad Jimmy and Chuck finally fixing their relationship. Hopefully they become a great lawyers duo after this 😊😊
Bob and Michael always end up having the same conversation don't they?
in an alternative universe, this is the time machine ending.....
And all he had to do was defecate in a reasonable location.
Kings
I think it can be argued that attunement to atmospheric pressure is a legitimate 6th sense that we all have to different degrees.
This is the moment Bob Odenkirk became an interviewee
This is chuck and jimmy in a alternate universe where they got along really well.
🔥🔥🔥
I used to come home from my crappy line cook job, open a beer and put on Mr Show. Helped me get through the drudgery. Lenny and Squiggy are in the comedy pantheon and nobody can deliver the line "hello" like them.
Put when it was filmed and/or released in the description please.
Impressed they knew who The Goodies were. Nice.
3:34 no graphic for Borb Orphandig?
The best of Saul was just as good as BB, I personally enjoyed it more.
Good Art
I just came here to see if at any point they break out into song together over "The Winner takes it all"
3:23 I used to get Bob Odenkirk and Steve Odekirk confused when I was a kid in the early 90s. Both up and coming standups at the time. Always wondered if they knew each other. I think Steve started doing stand up several years before Bob though. He was already making movies with Jim Carrey when Bob started.
18:46 This is the moment Chuck became Dr. Thurber
Well both sitting in heaven and talking what a after life that's
somebody call an ambulance for this guy
Yes, you can be in the Navy at 60. My Dad was in the Air Force at 60.
This must be old I've seen this before. Still gold to see them together
Loved McKean on The X-Files.
He shat for six seasons through every sunroof of Albuquerque, what a sick joke! He is shitting Jimmy!
Here's to Joel McKean ❤️
What I liked about Chuck and Jimmy's troubles was that it was professional and personal conflict. Chuck cared about the Law and he saw Jimmy as dangerous. He is slippin Jimmy with a law degree. He is more dangerous than a chimp with a gun. So this was professional concern. But there is also the personal concern because Jimmy caused their parent's business to fold because he couldn't keep his hands out of the cash register.
I kept waiting for the Lenny acknowledgement. Lenny and Squiggy were weird but memorable.
I remember Chuck trying to sell me Mockolate.
Son divinuras❤
4:13 for Chuck "yknowmsayn?"
"mister show wasn't popular"? it was huge in what the 70s
Spinal Tap
🖤💛
i wonder if Michael has ever seen the YTPs of his character
You can see 'with your own eyes' the interaction between a lawyer of the "University of Samoa" vs. this lawyer of an "Ivy League University".
Ha ha.
Have some more chicken have some more pie
Looks like father and son
Sunday morning, UK, as a child.
Round the Horn, The Navy Lark, I'm Sorry,I'll Read That Again...on the radio.😀
What is 'modulation'?
I saw Saul Goodman for the first time in my life when I watched Let's Go to Prison
I was thinking of watching that movie again. Lol
@@justariflefromjordan It's one of my go to movies when I just want to unwind and laugh
@20:29 “Are there any youtube videos about it?”
“Obviously if you have it it’s gonna be hard to record yourself talking about it.”
Chuck and jimmy
