This is so meticulously done. Huge props. Personal highlights: The Girl in the Fireplace - "are you a fucking horse?" Army of Ghosts/Doomsday - "I'm clinging onto that for dear life" Blink - Blinky Ben (really did write itself) The Angels Take Manhattan - "good spot for a s*icide, this, I would think. Good long drop, appreciative audience" Mummy on the Orient Express - "I fucking know I'm stuck on a train!!!" Flatline - "oh my God, everything's tiny!" Heaven Sent - "I'm never gonna get out this fucking building, am I?"
this is genuinely a work of art i’m so impressed i’m actually so interested to know which ones inspired you to make this video, my guess would be « season 10 and you’re the fucking dinner lady » or the thin ice punch
Amazing how praxeus was modern who's approach at talking about the environment when classic who did it so much better with most of the 3rd doctors run😆
1:35 was what got me. Also, while I realise this would have been difficult to do considering he's Malcolm Tucker, it would have been great if you somehow managed to get through Capaldi's era without using a single Tucker clip.
I don't. It's just cruel. People can think what they like about it, and to an extent say it too, but turning this into a 17-minute slog with no jokes at all, just saying "hey, this was shit, aren't I hilarious?" makes both creator and creation more impossible to like than anything Chibnall's ever written. And for the record, I think the only issue with The Timeless Children is that it's really, really boring. The first part of that story is fantastic, particularly the gorgeous scenes in Ireland.
@@fredh1720 I think Ascension of the Cybermen is also pretty boring and bad but each to their own and all that. There are lots of jokes in this, courtesy of the comedy television programme.
@@SeanS102 Well, if you do want to be technical about it, you'll find that there's not a single "joke" in The Thick of It-all of the comedy comes from the characters and the context, which videos like this completely remove. Iannucci would say exactly the same thing. Read Bob Odenkirk's book. He talks about being taught that there are no jokes: comedy can only come from character. Whether you agree with him or not is up to you, but the point here is that Iannucci does. Chibnall wrote his share of duds for sure, but he also understood the programme far better than Steven Moffat ever did. Moffat made a great show, but it bore little resemblance to Doctor Who. Chibnall distilled the essence of the classic show and tried to squeeze it into the format of the modern one-with varying results, but a far better success rate than people would suggest. People who accuse his scripts of being right-wing, while ignoring Moffat's (and his frequent directors') sexism. And accuse his historicals of inaccuracy, when the only real historical figure that appeared in Moffat's final *four* series was Nefertiti-in an episode written by Chibnall!
Here’s a challenge, every episode of Doctor Who described by Sex Education. It might be funny as both of the shows big actors are played by Ncuti Gatwa just as Peter Capaldi is most well known for The Thick of it before being cast as The Doctor. Come on, any 15th Doctor/Eric mashup is bound to be hilarious.
So, when do we get Doctor Who describing other shows featuring other Doctor Who actors? David and Jodie in Broadchurch, Matt in House of the Dragon, Ncuti in Sex Education etc.
Modern art! Do the same with all the spin offs. You know, every episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures, Torchwood and Class described by TTOI. Here’s some examples. Day One: “I’m in Thailand, In a sex bar about to get a fucking facial.” Invasion of the Bane: “Sweet giver of blood sugar.” They Keep Killing Suzie: “I will perform a fucking, living fucking autopsy on you.” Something Borrowed: “Well that was a fucking disaster.” Revenge of the Slitheen: “You can’t apologise for a fart you did a day ago.” Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane Smith: “You don’t deserve to live.” The Lost Boy: “Doug Hays is a massive abortion.” Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith: “I fucking time traveled. We’re in a weird and wonderful world where everything is normal.” The Gift: “This could be from anyone.” Mad Woman in the Attic: “Your fucking on your own.” The Nightmare Man: “It’s like the first year of university all over again.” Detained: “It’s a fucking lockdown!”
The best thing I’ve watched all year, didn’t stop fucking laughing the whole 10 minutes, thank you for cheering me up❤
