@@EMPTYPOCKETSRC The wiring definitely needed soldering. Just wrapping the wires around the terminals made for loose connections and would not work properly.
I put these on my trailer. They worked well for a long time but recently quit and I have not figured out what is wrong yet. Hopefully yours works for a long time without issue. It is fun when they work!

Thanks Trey, these electrical components are so delicate, especially the pre-soldered joints to the switches. I wish they’d make them more durable.
