- Now it's time to fit the motor. I have other videos that show how to run in the motor and fit the pinion, this video concentrates on soldering in the motor and what to look for in a good gear mesh.

I’m just finding your videos and it really makes me want to get back into racing. Great job! and even though the closest track is an hour and a half away, and I sold all my cars and tools a decade ago, I’m retired now and can’t think of a better way to waste my money!😂
Absolutely the best series of slot car building videos on UA-cam, thank you!
Thank you so much for watching 🙏
You are the undisputed king of slot car tips my friend
You videos are the BEST! Keep them coming! Every video I learn something new, or something I was doing wrong. Thank you!
Thanks Kevin. Glad you like watching them.
I am building quite a library of your fantastic tips, James. Keep them coming ☺
Nice one James.
Hey dude, build a c 21 chassis, thats what beginners are racing in the US
Are these both straight cut gears?
Yes they are 👍🏻
@@CleaveTech Is there a reason why you don't run one of the angled options? Angled pinion straight Spur. Straight pinion and angled spur. Angle pinion AND angled spur?
@@plabarba I don't like using an angled spur because they are much slower to replace during a race if something happened to the gear. I also don't like using angled pinions as they tend to push the armature to one end of the motor and don't let it freely find the optimum position between the magnets.
@@CleaveTech Thanks for the clear explanation
