For folks that are hesitant. Just get in there and do it. Practice on some scrap brass, you will surprise yourself on how quick and easy it really is.

60-40 Sn-Pb solder. Fine for this application, but its tensile strength is 1/3 that of 94-6 Sn-Ag "silver" solder.
