Okay, I have a 2017 2500 Cummins and love it, I also have Firestone air bag, I have 10,000 lbs maybe a little over 5th wheel. I wanted to get a 3500 but I just didn't have the funds for it but for now my setup will work. Thank you for your reply.
Nope, you still need to have the camper clears the sides pickup box. My 1/2 towable 5th wheel camper when hitched onto my 3/4 ton 2022 Duramax has the front of my trailer 11 inches higher ground clearance than the rear of my trailer. I have my king pin and my 5th wheel hitch as low as possible, which only gives me 4" of clearance for the side walls of my pickup box, (they recommend 5 - 6 inches clearance). Now if I had a flat bed, your suggestions would work perfect.
George GodMan thanks, I did have a 2015 Silverado 2500 Duramax. I found that it did a decent job. But it wasn’t until I moved to a Ram 3500 mega cab SRW that I felt so much better in the towing experience. It can be deemed as overkill for a 10,000# trailer but I am far happier with my current truck for this trailer. I feel I could go slightly larger in the future which is a nice envelope to have.
joenissan those “crappy tires” made it 10,000 miles a year with no issues for 2 years before she sold. 2016 and it originally came with the China bombs.

A reese low profile hitch or shorter kingpin box will do the trick as well.

2:08 is that screw in your tire?
Looks like it but no. Good eye though 👍
Hello new friend! Checking out the projects
Awesome setup, so what did you have towing your HT Jayco?

What year HT did you buy with those crappy Carlisle tires?

I herd that
I couldn’t hear it very well. Too much background noise. Should have shut the diesel engine off.
If you would turn off your motor while talking I could hear what you had to say.
