The fact that Gunship are doing exclusive music for this instantly doubles my excitement for this when it comes to PSVR.
Absolutely love that Synthwave artist and to have them featured in a proper cyberpunk game is a dream come true.
Can't wait to see the full version. I've got the latest version and it is so amazing in VR. Blade Runner, without the name. What a time to be alive.
You have actually played it? I didn't realize it was available. What system are you playing it on? Blade Runner is my favorite movies so I've been excited to play this.
Yeah I play it on PCVR via Itch using my Quest 3
@@177Darksharp Nice! I don't have a PC I have a console but it's good to know that it's as good as it seems. Thanks!
It's in the making for years and I believe it will take some more years.
To be honest I didn't try the latest version of it, because the newer versions were still boring.. Yes, it has very nice graphics and a cool atmosphere..
But it's without any gameplay. Just flying around to different locations and actually the locations are often quite small (in this video are a lot of cuts, so you can't see it).
For people that just want to have a blade runner feeling it will be fine but not for people that are expecting interesting gameplay...
One of those few past and current VR games that REALLY ARE 100% GREAT. Other examples are Red Matter, Red Matter 2, Compound VR, Boneworks and Bone Labs, Blade and Sorcery, Pavlov VR, Contractors VR, Vail VR, Blood Trail, Into the Radious VR, Ghost of Tabor VR, Half-Life: Alyx, H3VR, Breachers, Grimlord, Job Simulator and some VR-supported games, such as Super Hot, Subnautica, Skyrim and No Man's Sky... there's more, but it's clear where I'm going.
Sorry but like what, some of those games are much worse than 100 games you didn’t list, and I’m not even just talking like non pc vr games like Astro bot rescue mission or games you can play in vr too. Like job sim is anything but peak.
You kinda just started listing Vr games not really really good ones. I like quite a few on the list but
resident evil village, gt7, red matter 2, pavlov, song in the smoke, wanderer and half life alyx are a good enough list
Isn't Red Matter 2 a puzzle game?, tbh that's what puts me off getting it, I'm waiting on firewall & Ghosts of Tabor.
Super hot isn't vr supported, it's a standalone game..... one they butchered the story just to virtue signal
Thank you so much for covering this, GT. This project has so much potential, and even in its current state is incredibly impressive. I wish the developer the best of luck. Seeing things like this restores my faith in the uniqueness of VR experiences and their potential. You just can’t emulate an experience like this flat compared to when it’s in the headset.
Talk about stating the obvious...
Loving the music and ambient sounds in this. Looks really immersive..
The music choice really hits
This looks AMAZING! Makes me wish Cyberpunk 2077 just had a basic VR mode, using the Dual Sense even.
CP2077 is to big and has to much geometry and world complexity to run properly in next couple of years, even 4090 is not enough to give it justice with ray tracing in 3d. There is a free vorpx mod for vr on their official site if you want to try, motion controls works, kind of.
@@juu226 I don't see why a game that runs at 60 fps on a ps5 should not work with foveated rendering and reprojection on psvr2. Though, I don't know at what resolution games have to be rendered prior to the transformation for the psvr2 screens to get a reasonably clear image in the headset. I suppose it is much larger than the typical resolution of flat games prior to the upscaling. Anyway I think that the engine used for cp2077 is just not adjusted for foveated and single pass stereoscopic rendering and it would just be too expensive for the few psvr2 users who do not own the game already.
@@user-gm1bn4uv1w In that case you need to render twice 60 so count 120 frames, add physics, head and hands tracking, textures decompression in fly, lot of other moving objects and resolution depandable of bowel distorion - probably higher than headset displays. RT is absolutely out of question. If game was not build up for VR in mind cost of rendering real 3d will be much higher. Foveated can win back some performance but it is not game changer. Wee still need couple of years to get there in terms of CPU/GPU power but probably no one will ever invest in such a big game to sell it only on VR.
@@juu226 Yes, there are two images to render but at half the resolution of the flat screen version. And with single pass stereoscopic rendering the work is not doubled. The computations are mostly the same except for a slight camera transformation. There are some synergies. Yes, it costs more, but not factor 2 more. The reprojection also requires some computation. Ideally that part is done by the mediatek chip in the headset (not sure that is the case). For psvr1 it was done by the external box, I think. Yes the motion controls also will require some computation. But game pad steering is also an option, I would say. The foveated rendering can speed up the rendering by a factor 2. In that sense, it should be possible to regain the some speed lost by the extra computations necessary for VR. Therefore I think it should be possible to get a game that already runs at 60 fps in flat on the headset. As mentioned before, the game likely needs to be rendered at a higher resolution then the flat version to get an acceptable image in the headset. So, some sacrifices are necessary somewhere. Anyway You can see with GT7, village what the sacrifices are to get those games to psvr2. Call of the mountain shows that complex geometry is very feasible. Not to mention that there are ps4 and xbox one versions of the cp2077 base game (not necessarily the most beautiful versions). So, I think it would absolutely be possible. Though, the image could be very blurry because the game cannot be rendered at a higher resolution than the flat game, and it will cost some money to implement, by far not as much as implementing such a game for VR only, but the work on the rendering engine and the play testing surely will cost.
@@user-gm1bn4uv1w Actually I did not have PSVR to check that out but I see how old RE7 mod runs on PC and how demanding it is despite it is so old game, I checked CP and this is overkill on PC. There are some tricks to improve performance and I hope will be more in future but it is not so easy like slight camera transformation for second eye. I still means two different images at one time to render. There are some nice looking games but none of them will be as comlex in terms of geometry, textures, lod as on flat screen unfortunetly, I heard that No Man Sky on PSCR2 had very low resolution they improved it but it shows why you cant go lower than in headset because it all starts looking blurry. I am not developer so I might be wrong, those are only my observations how my stuff behaves judging by permormance monitors.
I’ve had this on my wishlist for a long time! Can’t wait for it!
I think this game would, hands down, make a great VR social hub.
I've been following this for years. I think it still has promise, but I just hope the final game is more populated with NPCs.
Cool GT for showing more of this I've added it to my wishlist on psvr2! Hoping when it's ready to come out it'll be a cool game as this will be awesome on the psvr2 headset I'm sure!
I love how your animated intro matches so well with the futuristic aesthetic of low-fi. I'm beyond hyped for this title!
Thanks Luke
PSVR 2 Controller Haptic Feedback, Adaptive Trigger, FOVeated Rendering, Helmet Haptic Feedback, Eyextracking….
This is gonna be sicc on the PS5!
This looks really good. Will look to pick it up when it’s out on PSVR2
looks like cyberpunk in VR
Looking forward to this on PSVR2
Thanks for the video and all the continued content man! We appreciate you!!
Such a great looking and sounding game. Great premise. Been following this myself for what feels like years when I picked up an early copy on Itch.
Would love to see you play the final release on a high-end native PCVR HMD.
Murphy, the name you saw at the shooting range, that's robocop's name in the film
Damn! Of course it is! I hated that scene of him getting shot to pieces as a kid
hyped to finally play this game I bought for forty dollars 20 years ago
I've been following this game for a long time. This video convinced me to buy it. Thanks GT!
I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS GAME!!!
With PSVR2 black level this will look awesome.
I can't explain how amazing this is...💯
I installed Low-Fi on 9/8/20, after paying the developer $40. I tooled around the world of the game a bit for about a month afterward, and saw its potential. I haven't gone back to it in a long while, and now I see it has been updated. I may have to revisit this game now, as it really looks like the closest thing to a Blade Runner like game we'll ever get in VR . . .
I'm extremely excited for games like this! Cop openwork cyberpunk noir in VR. Somebody smack me.. I must be dreaming.
First Blade Runner is such a epic movie . Honestly even though slower then I normally would put up with . I loved the world of blade runner so much this game gonna be able to get away with a lot with me that I might normally dislike enough to just not play at all .
IP is a biggie for me , this not even official IP just similar lol . I have played a bunch of completely awful and nasty games just to “ be the guy “ or be “ in the world “ . This one of those weird personal things that not many land on the same as me. Use the powers of being super geek to enjoy something like this that normally nowhere near my wheelhouse .
Color pallet is nice and always big factor for me too .
Great vid mate :) Yes it seems amazing , I'll wait for the finished product before I buy into it. Subbed :)
Man I cannot wait for this to come to PSVR2. I’ll be over here waiting.
Cool video, thanks! You think the HDR on PSVR2 will make the neon colours pop even more?
Absolutely
ohh sweet, this looks great!
This thing sells itself. How can’t AAA developers come up with this idea.
Oh 😮 wow! Like a Blade Runner world, this looks amazing. added to my ps store wish list
I'm going to go 🤓 here! The car you called sometype of Citroën 😞 is actually a Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86, Takumi Fujiwara's car from the anime Initial D, so nothing to do with The Last Starfighter (such good film tho), Lo-fi has so many cross-refs to cyber-punk history, anime, gaming and other pop culture and sub-culture. Slow burn to release on this but each time go back in to see update, the visual hit of living in blade runner is still a jaw dropper.
tap the setting gear on your hand to toggle the red overlay. Or use the grip buttons by the headset
I'm looking forward to Low-Fi, even though I'm not really expecting there to be too much in the way of a campaign or narrative (which are things I generally want in my games). I'll still pick it up to be a tourist in a dystopian future.
What I'd love to see is the developer either supporting mods or partnering with other studios who could craft narratives within this game as DLC. He's created such an amazing world, it would be awesome if he'd let some developers in there to make compelling stories within it.
How i imagined vr years ago.😊
Thanks GT, high hopes for this on PSVR2
This game looks extremely demanding for performance! But man, despite the Dev's rants on Twitter, the dude is clearly a creative genius.
Last time i played this it was empty.
Looking forward to finished product.
Apart from some murders, crime scenes and new racing arena it’s the same but it’s looks way more cool
So glad they are bringing this to PSVR 2 as well. Can't wait. Thanks for the upload. I for one would welcome more of this game.
I'll have to play that demo some day. I'm still not sure about the game. It looks amazing, visually. But it seems to go into a kind of open world experience, which is very, very hard to do for a single developer like this. Even Zach, the developer of Vertigo 2, who is an absolute beast, and even the HUGE Alyx team, didn't make a full open world game and it kind of guides you through the world. This could well be a buggy mess or irritating experience where I don't know where to go... It has some Cyberpunk 2077 vibes: Amazing looking open world cyberpunk style. But remember how that game launch went? 😬
I really hope I'm wrong, but I'm not entirely convinced. The nice graphics will keep me interested for 30 minutes, but afterwards I need some compelling story.
06:20 Citroen BX confirmed... respect
Can you walk around on foot through the city as well? That would be nutty if you could, this game looks pretty incredible by pc standards, let alone vr
One of the reason why I got a psvr2. Looks awesome can't wait 👍🏻
This is the no1 game on my PSVR2 wishlist
This is the game I been waiting ages for. I'm gonna go get this very shortly. This is a work of love and deserves more love.
P.S. Shadowrun vibes + Bladerunner and in VR..This dev is just looking into my dreams apparently.
I can't wait to play this game. Its amazing that its just one person. How well is the sense of scale portrayed inside the headset GamerTag ?
It’s awesome dude combined with the music
Appreciate the play GT!
All the movies in the theater are Public domain BTW. No copyright issues.
Yeah this game looks awesome. I keep checking back on it every few months.
Thanks GT.
Definitely
a must try once it's out.
Hey I’m really trying to get my quest 2 to vr play on my steam deck using ALVR. Can you show us how to make it work right?
I backed this game a few years ago on Kickstarter. I need to get back to the latest build, because it's looking pretty damn good! Also FYI, the movie at the theatre was Night of the Living Dead, which is in the public domain.
Oh cool
This will be great on PSVR2
Don't know how much game will be in this by release, but nevertheless my most anticipated games on the way. Looking forward to this!
I hope this game comes out for quest 3
Played some of this back in 2021. Looks good but not for $35 to access a early access demo.
I’m a bit puzzled as this has been out for years? But shows as still in development on the psvr2 so I was under the impression this was not released anywhere
This has been on my list since forever. Still no idea when is going to come out? Also it looks like a sandbox without a story or it’s just an impression?
No story currently in the beta
The environments look great. Hopefully, they will get more populated as NPCs seem sparse. And fingers crossed the game aspects will as strong as the atmosphere we can see so far
extreme attention to detail. i see why its taking so long for release
they should build in some social function for some areas like the club. kinda like how destiny has that central hub populated with other players
the social hub could also function like a demo. give em a taste of the asthetic
This is made by one guy mainly, and it’d a single player game
COOL ! =)
Wasn't there something like this on dreams for ps4/ps4 pro or is this the same game?
It's taken it time being released for psvr2
Man who did your animation intro? I would love to connect with them.
I went ahead and bought it, but I refuse to touch it until it’s in a more polished state. But it’s so hard not to because it already looks so damn polished.
Think I saw this game on PC years ago and was hoping it comes to PSVR2
It is and you can wish list it
5:29 I see we're still not rid of the redpill scourge. Disheartening.
(The sign in the background there if it wasn't obvious.)
Pretty hilarious
Umm.. so, not sure if you've seen a little film called the Matrix. lol
I'm literally referencing it... in a cyberpunk VR game.. where most people are jacked into a VR simulation... but, I mean, enjoy letting crappy politics live rent free in your mind. Seems super healthy. lol
This needs to come to Quest 3c
I want to be optimistic and believe it will be complete this year, but I doubt it will. Either way, this game looks immensely promising.
I mean what’s their scope? It doesn’t feel like they’re trying to make cyberpunk 2077, they feel like they’re trying to just make a sandbox world to muck about in gta style (minus fhe story and all that). It’d be cool if their scope was bigger though, so you know?
@@IskandarTheWack It's hard to say. And if I'm not mistaken, isn't it just one guy making this with some hired help for things? I can't imagine this is going to be a massive game or anything like that. That'd be cool if it had a 10-20 hour campaign. But all the previews and clips shown are pretty much what we've seen from what we saw here, so I'm just wondering if it's even close to complete. But the developer said it's coming in 2023 and it's come out when it's done. So, who knows?
I backed this and tried it about 2 years ago? It already looked awesome, but.. nothing to do? Is it better with this version? Is it actually a game now, or still just nice (awesome) scenery?
This is still coming out!?
I love how the dev knew the limits of PCs and VR tech and used the right lore concept to fit. There is a real reason why there aren't a lot of people roaming around in a sprawling city. Where CP3077 overpromises the richness of the environment this game promises the opposite so every actual interaction really is special.
If this acute understanding how every interaction is special in a place without many people carries over jnto the storytelling this game could be in best games lists for the decade not just year.
The bones of the experience look perfectly executed in terms of look, music, and mood to me.
If the game is easily mod capable it could become a wonderful canvass in a similar way to HL:A - .but better Stilted AI generated speech and imperfect stiff animation is lore appropriate and won't be jarring.
The more I see this the more I believe this games seeding ideas and concepts are genius choice.
Not at all new but the right choice for a solo dev trying to build a good game in VR.
If the story telling can provide the richness the environment appropriately lacks - it could be epic.
Or not.
Is this one of those games that looks really good in VR like Red Matter 2? Or does it look significantly worse in the headset?
Looks pretty similar to the video albeit a smaller FOV
This really makes me wish Quest 3 had OLED screens
I read the description of this in the PlayStation store for the “coming soon” PSVR2 version and I think a lot of people that aren’t familiar with what this is supposed to be need to go read that description to better understand what it is. Just from reading comments here, it seems like people have expectations of something different than what the game description seems to imply it is going to be.
I have no experience with this yet and have high hopes for it when it comes to PSVR2, but I also think I have a pretty good understanding of what to expect from doing a little research on it and just from what the game description explains it to be. Looking forward to the release to get my hands on it!
Cant eait to play on my PSVR2
looks amazing! I did get to play Air Car and that was relaxing to fly around. Agreeing with @177Darksharp here looks like Blade Runner and that's awesome!
I really hope it has a sitting mode
It does
@@1inchPunchBowl Yay!
I bought it on itch years ago, so I should get a free Steam key. I've not played it yet. Saving myself for the release. I've also been digging out the ROMS for use in the arcade machines :)
Roms? Arcade machines?
@@IskandarTheWack There's arcade machines in the Arcade that you can load your own ROMs into and play in VR.
@@Anticleric I'm confused, you mean in this game itself, irl, or what?
It's been 4 years since i've added this game to my wish-list...
It's quite mind boggling that these games that are created by one person are among the greatest vr games, especially compared to these larger studios. Cannot wait for this one on psvr2!!
not really, its feels like a reskin of other aircar
@moncimoov They are both inspired by iconic sequences in Blade Runner. Indeed this bleak neon city canvas isn't fresh as a style so it will all boil to execution for the parts that aren't just gliding around in a future Honda.
reminds me of bladerunner
Tight
What is the actual game? Curious
Just wished you weren’t a cop in this game, already a bad thing (acab), but it’s extended further to a horrible thing in a cyberpunk world, which is a dystopia because corporations rule and others struggle to survive. It’s why most cyberpunk has players as like a thief, street punk, etc, because they’re fighting against the powers that be. Would be cool if 2077 eventually comes to psvr2. But at least I’ll get to traverse around a cyberpunk world in this
I see what ya saying. You can be a good or bad cop
Ever heard of a little film called Robocop?
@@Anticleric Robocop is anti cop militarization, it's literally a core part of the film.
Looks good but why can’t they implement a whole arms vs floating hands 🤦🏻♂️
I just need them to add some freakn combat , I wanna shoot something lol
Looks cool but empty. Not sure how much actual game theres going to be.
There is no game . I believe this is a free game on steam vr . You see is what you get type of deal
@@John-gh2lz it's not released or free. I believe people that put money to the Kickstarter are able to play this preview build currently.
Nice intro
Thank you
Low- Fi is really Low- Res

Day 1 psvr2
No way in hell this way made by one fella
*waves
I mean. I have some help.. but I'm that fella.
how do you play this game is it on steam or the oculus store
It's not released yet this is a demo build that backers get acess to

@@GAMERTAGVR thanks i try it out
It’s like Blade Runner 2077 . . .
I hope he ads people dancing in the clubs seems odd not to have dancers on the dance floor
Yeah me too. The strip club full of blood was creepy asf
He called a toyota trueno a Citroën and that really hurt
Sorry
@GAMERTAGVR haha oh my goodness please don't feel bad this video was very well made i love your content ❤️ i hope my small poke fun was okay please keep making such amazing content!
@@nextGenspacepainter it’s all good and thank you for the nice comment. You’d be surprised how many negative comments and personal stabs I get on YT. Your comment I didnt take like that all but sometimes people get very upset with stuff is all. Have a great day

It's a Citroën BX.
This looks great! Just afraid of the performance lol
To be fair the first part of the video was my own fault. I had the game running in two windows and oculus mirror. The game own output was much better and had a wider FOV
@@GAMERTAGVR Thanks, I noticed that too. Glad it was on your end. I'm downloading it now. I love Aircar. Would play that for hours just flying around.
