The slow first part was their tribute to their fallen brother, bass player Cliff Burton, who had sadly been killed in a tragic tour bus accident that took Cliffs life. Jason Newsted (sitting in the middle during that part) replaced him three weeks after the funeral. This concert is by most fans considered one of the bands best.
First song is part of To Live is to die to remember their bassist who died in a bus crash 3 years before that recording. It was the last pice of music that he wrote
If you're interested in hearing the whole thing, at the beginning they were playing a section of "To Live Is To Die", an instrumental on the same album. It was a fantastic way to come back in from a short break during the concert. The first hard beat is the actual beginning of MoP.
Definitely unmatched Gods of “modern” heavy metal!! Best band of all times along with Gods of “classic” heavy metal, of course Judas Priest!! 🤘🏻Both bands have the right mix of charisma, stage presence, musicianship and lyricism that make them stand out in the history of music.
Metallica along with Pantera have some of the best guitar riffs in metal history...🎸🎸🎸🎸 .great reaction ladies..🤘🤘🤘..love to see you getting into original thrash metal..🎵🎶🎧🥁🥁..be safe and keep healthy ♥️
What I am noticing from these reactions is that different people from around the world are way more open-minded than here in America great reaction girls keep it up
The song of the beginning is an extract of To live of to die, react to that song please, and others like One, Orion, The call of Ktullu, Harvester of sorrow....
I'm glad that you girls liked this song, that's awesome!!! There are a lot of good Metallica songs, but one of my favorites is the song called " For Whom the Bell Tolls "
"The drumming is wonderful".... Say that three times in the dark and Lars Ulrich will appear and propose marriage.... :) Awesome reaction video ladies .... Dhan'yavāda धन्यवाद
Kirk Hammett (curly black hair) plays lead guitar. So, most of the the solos are his. James Hetfield (rhythm guitar and singer) does a few solos, well placed and melodic. Jason Newsted (bass player) does a lot of the growling backing vocals. Jason left the band in 2000 and was replaced (eventually) by another great bassist, Robert Trujillo. . . . Cliff Burton was (for all intents and purposes) their first bassist and was amazing, but he died on the Master of Puppets tour in a bus accident. RIP, Cliff.
This was from the “ and justice for all” tour which I seen twice once at the defunct and legendary Dayton Hara arena. This song is about being addicted to drugs/ cocaine and how it controls an addicts life.
I guess maybe they haven't heard this before lol :) I love it! I have heard this song many times in my life but that beginning solo was heavenly and beautiful
Wow, this is an older video LOL! It starts out with a rendition of "To Live Is To Die" (instrumental) well worth a listen on it's own for sure! Then comes in "Master of Puppets"! Great rocking song! I was only 11 or 12 years old during this concert tour, had a free ticket offered from a friend and his family, they knew I loved metal... Sadly my mother thought I was too young for a metal concert! GRRR!
Geez....can't believe it's been near 40 yrs since I saw Metallica for the first time. I was 21 yrs then and it was early '83 in San Francisco at the Stone. Dave was on lead guitar and Cliff, I believe, had just joined the band. Cliff was very lively on stage, did a really good bass solo, but Dave was the one with the most energy on stage.
I love you! nice ladies..your reaction it was awesome..you are so cute..I was 13 years old when I listened the first time Metallica's song..and I'm 48 right now. Welcome to the heavy metal comunity. Greetings from Chile-Southamerica.Sorry for my poor inglish..we speak in spanish, but I am trying to make the best possible.🤘🤘🎸🎼🎶🎸 Yeeeaaahh!!!!.I will be waiting for your next heavy metal reaction, specially Metallica's songs. ❤️🤘🎸
First time ever watched and happy to see that nepalese youtuber reacting metallica and all that....being a fan of metallica and ac/dc i recommend you guys react on the unforgiven live berlin 2006....and highway to hell
Thanks a lot, for your time, well,I did not know that in Nepal people speaks in inglish too.I guess that is for the relationship with the britanic empire and their colonies. However, keep it up!!! beautyfull girls..🎸🎸🤘🤘🎶🎼😜
Ahh the good old days when singer James Hetfield played that white guitar (can also be seen in the Nothing Else Matters official video). THAT white guitar.... a copy of a Gibson Explorer. It was made by a Japanese company called ESP. It was so good that Gibson, a USA company, got pissed off and sued ESP. ESP was ordered to stop importing any Gibson copies to the US. There is still a friendly rivalry between Gibson and ESP.
Well I confess that Metallica are my favourite band!!! And I listen to all the bands from Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Pantera. The Melody that they bring to their song writing is what sets them apart!! You must listen to Orion!!!
The first part is not master of puppets, it's called "to live is to die", Metallica sadly lost the member Cliff Burton in 1986 in a tragic bus accident.
Welcome to the world of rock n' roll and heavy metal, ladies, where you get to rediscover some bigtime unique talents from bands and musicians with such different sound, style and skills on such levels of epicness *you never thought existed!* Keep these rock/hard rock/metal videos coming. And I want you to know something and to give you a heads-up, it is only fair to warn you, when comes to this type of music, *EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!* Try reacting to*Anthrax* and some more *Megadeth* please. Both amazing bands and well worth listening to 😎🤘
In case you ladies were unaware, the song itself is talking about drug addiction and the slavery the addiction causes to the drug hence the chants of “Master” throughout the song. Great reaction keep it up!
Metallicas first guitarist was dave mustaine , the red haired guy from megadeth . I think you 2 would like megadeth - she-wolf live from the rude awakening dvd . Its on youtube .
I have seen them 2 times. Metallica - Utrecht, Holland 11/12/96 / varockcity1 ua-cam.com/video/Nuq--Q6Jf8E/v-deo.html And at Pinkpop 2014 at Landgraaf the Netherlands Live. Good selection on the version. I've never seen/heard it. Bands seem to play a little faster live.
Great choice 👍 Please do "Phantom of the opera" by Iron Maiden (original with Paul Di'Anno on vocals) 😉
Back the they were hard to beat they were a hungry band. Ride the lightning.is another great album.
Hope u girls would react to metallica song no leaf clover live s&m 1999.. I'm sure u both will loved it..
Great reaction. Y'all should check out their song Shortest Straw. Studio or live. Earlier concerts are badass.
