Mexico City is probably in their top 5 favorite places to play. Their set on binge and purge in MC is also outstanding, you can hear the crowd over the music at times. Love you guys in concerts, Metallica plays on another level when they’re there
Dude I am with you. This band changed my life in 1986 at the tender age of 11. I've seen them so many times I lost count but in 2000, I saw them with my then bass player (equally into Metallica as me), and after a while of boycotting thier shows because of load and reload, Ecstasy of Gold came on and the both of us sobbed in complete admiration and love for this band, it fukn gets me emotional now just thinking about it and as my tears are running down my face , they come on stage and open with Battery, and I completely freaked the hell out , everything was perfect. Now we both, 20 years later still refer to that show as Ever. The best concert Ever.
This particular concert in Mexico and this song, was just fire. The crowd was sooo lit, i could feel it coming out of my tablet speakers. Then suddenly, i started shouting like i was in the crowd. By the end of the song, i was actually exhausted, what a ride!
Thank You for playing the best and heaviest Heavy Metal song ever created or written. If you're a Metallica fan this has to be in your top 3 or 2 of favorite Metallica songs. Masterpiece is an understatement! Other songs are no comparison, unless they are a Metallica song possibly lol ...... Was rockin' to this in the 80's in high school and it is a joy to see people still loving Metallica 36 years later, awesome! Thanks Guys!
In my personal opinion, this is my favorite song from the master of puppets and the best live performance from Metallica in 2009, fortunately it was in Mexico. Viva Mexico cabrones!!!!!
Pride, Passion and Glory: Three Nights in Mexico City is a live DVD by the American band Metallica. This was recorded during the three concerts at the Foro Sol in Mexico City on June 4, 6 and 7, 2009 during the World Magnetic Tour 2009 promoting their album Death Magnetic!!!
The greatest band ever...🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥......been around for 39 years and to this date still sell out EVERY arena worldwide no matter the size of the arena.....🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘.....do "Fight Fire with Fire" from the same concert...trust me; afterwards you will be craving for more "Tallica"....
Hey...guys, I am from Chile-Southamerica,..I am living surrounding, of fake music named Reggaeton..the only one medicine, it's to see people reacting to the heavy metal song's..I feel my blood flowing through my body..over,and over again..Greetings from Chile-Southamerica... Heavy Metal lives Forever..🎸🎼🤘🤘🤘
Best Metallica song and they've written some bangers. Brutal riffs. Chilling Lyrics and totally accurate. I would go as far as to say it is one of the best anti-war songs ever recorded.
3:30 "We're gonna talk about this show for a long time" - hahahah that's kinda funny, have you seen 1991 moscow metallica concert? You're gonna lose your shit seeing 1.6 million people in the crowd :D
Latin/South America is always a killer when it come to concerts. Probably the best and most passionate crowds are there. There are crappy old videos of Pantera in Chile on UA-cam and that crowd is so fucking loud and out there it enhances whole experience so much that this is my gold standart.
I've seen them live 9 times amazing every time. Ragin the pits , coming out beaten, battered and bruised but loving every minute of it! Birth School Metallica Death \m/💀\m/
If you guys want insane and raw energy you definitely have to react to Metallica "Battery" live in Seattle 1989. One of the greatest performances ever captured on film!
The concert name was Orgullo, Pasion y Gloria. It was in México City in 2009 and the released a DVD from this show. It is incredible from beginning to end. Try For whom the bell tolls, Master of Puppets or the best versión of One i have seen, it gave James Hetfield goosebumps at the end of the song from the crowd energy.
Hello from México 🤟 i was there three nights foro sol 150,00,000 fans sold out. 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟dvd orgullo pasión y gloria México city. One the Best metal song in the historyyyyyyy.
It's even more amazing when you realize that come next year, they'll have been doing this for 40 years. Not the same line-up (RIP Cliff Burton; Dave Mustaine didn't fit; Jason Newsted moved on) but still with the same frenetic/frantic energy for most of their sets. I cannot name any other artists that can say the same thing.
How about Iron Maiden. They've been doing it for over 40 years with the same amount of high energy performance for every tour. Megadeth and Anthrax as well. Would have included Slayer but they've called it a day.
@death21metal shit tons of albums? Millions love the band not the music. The numbers they're pulling with album sales is nowhere the numbers they use to in 90s. Their tour schedule have less dates compared to back then also which is why instead of doing 3 nights or 2 nights back to back. Doing 1 concert by having both ticket purchasers from the 2nd and 1st would fill out a stadium and not burn them out. OH and a lot of their gigs and sales are free promotional tickets. What else you got sis?
Actually I had the chance to experience my first Metallica show and specifically that show everyone in the crowd was dropping until the part of energy, that show was amazing.
Metallica draws huge crowds. Biggest crowd I was ever apart of was Metallica at Gillette Stadium (where the New England Patriots play) with 50,000 people. It took me 4 and a half hours just to drive out of the parking lot. Totally worth it.
I'd have loved to have been at the famous Seattle '89 gig. Can't remember if they did this song but hell, I wouldn't care. I did see them at Big Day Out in Milton Keynes, whichever year it was in the late 90s and they were great. You must look up Eighties matchbox B line Disaster or Laibach sometime.
Mexico does get down... Everyone gets down to Metallica. This is just another Tuesday in their world... Tearing crowds to shreds with these tunes. Metallica is the GOAT. There is just something about special about it. We were in 2019 at their gig and the warm up acts are great in their own right, but the whole energy of the place changes when these guys come up... The last time Metallica were a warm up act the lead act Ozzy Osbourne said that it was so hard to follow up Metallica onto the stage. There is just nothing that beats that energy... Thrash metal just pumps you up, no matter how your day is going. And Metallica is the king of Thrash! And these boys are pushing 60 now and still go this hard... Talk about dedication to your craft. I believe they are still the only band to play on all 7 continents... All of them.
Every Metallica show is an unparalleled experience. The band, except for Rob on Bass, had seen one of the biggest crowds in history when they went to end the Cold War in Moscow! When you react to their song "One" a lot of us would think it's better for you to react to lyrics or live instead of the Official Music Video. The Official Video is its own masterpiece, but it plays seperate media over and drowning out good chunks of the music. 🤘😈
The BPM's in this song are insane thrash metal at its finest not to mention this is one of the most difficult songs to master/play on guitar or at least it was for me back in the day lol Lars Ulrich is like, "I've got blisters on my fingers!" Lol Creeping Death live in Moscow is one of Metallica's most memorable and iconic shows
Great reaction! But I would recommend picking earlier live performances...like late 80’s to begin 90’s, James’ voice had much more power and range back then. Epic performances in Seattle and San Diego (and Moscow of course) ...plus always great to see Jason on beast-mode, also the best back-up vocalist I’ve ever seen/heard in metal 🤘🏼
my fav. band besides slipknot...back n the 80s...90s.... metallica was an unrated band n then 2000s came n then there was utube.......love theses guys....seen them 3 times 2x n the pouring rain i would do it all again...
Great song. Lyrics are filled with tragedy and horror. I love you guys. Your smiles against the lyrics was a bit of a mismatch. Not your fault. A truly great...great song. “I was born for dying...”
So to add comments and answer a question to which Idon´t see an answer. That´s a crowd of 30,000 people and yes those are the guys who sell beer on every concert in Mexico.
One of the first songs I tried to learn. My brother pick me up and threw me out the door everytime I picked up his guitar. True story. I can't read notes and I play upside down. R/down
I guess I am just getting old, thinking how anyone could just be listening to this the first time! The green one, you mean Kirk fucking Hammett? The bass player, you mean the legend Robert Trujillo of Infectious grooves, Suicidal Tendencies, only probably the second sickest bass player to Jaco Pastorious. 1986, I heard this the first time and my entire being changed that day. I am so fortunate to have all music, especially this!
I was in front row at this concert. First time watching Metallica live, I cry like a little boy when the show begins, best moment in my life.
Your suppose to say "I cried like a little biotch when the show began"!!! LOL!!
Your suppose to say "I cried like a little biotch when the show began"!!! LOL!!

Lucky you, I couldn’t go that time cuz I didn’t have money but I’m eager to watch them live whenever they come back
Dude I am with you. This band changed my life in 1986 at the tender age of 11. one of the most brutal riffs they've ever put out
absolutely wrist killer
cant imagine how hetfield sings and plays this at the same time
That's why he is the mighty Het
Captain Crunch
He has a bionic arm...
Papa Het is the greatest rhythm guitarist in metal history
This is the musical equivalent to pat your head and rub your stomach...but at like 198 bpm
Master of Puppets, in my humble opinion one of the best albums in existence
All the first five from Metallica is pure art
I one 100% agree it's my favorite Metallica album
no doubt
my fave is and justice, but i agree with you, master of puppets is a masterpiece

Yeah! Cliff Burton has written the melodic intro!!
Epic!
This particular concert in Mexico and this song, was just fire. The crowd was sooo lit, i could feel it coming out of my tablet speakers. Then suddenly, i started shouting like i was in the crowd. By the end of the song, i was actually exhausted, what a ride!
Metallica is the musical love child of Black Sabbath and Motorhead at a Lovecraft convention. I wish I'd paid more attention in lutheran school.

Absolute LEGENDS!
Now, this song and the whole MASTER OF PUPPETS are 35 years old (since 3rd of March)
Remember. They we're like 19-20-21 years old when they made this song
And drunk as hell
Making one E power chord and a C# power chord to construct an intro that could start a war is still a mindblowing feat
