Metallica is an amazing band. Them playing with the symphony orchestra is amazing. I saw them live a along long time ago with the orchestra at MSG in NY. Might want to check those videos out. Great video content both of you. Have an amazing day.
Greatest part about the riffs is that they mimic the songs true point: drugs and substance abuse. The riffs are super fast and frantic, like a junkie needing a fix, to soft and melodic, that’s the junkie high and happy, before going right back to super frantic as soon as the high wears off. It’s fucking amazing
if you have the chance go see them live, i mean its not what it was in the 90's but so you can understand how"oiled together" these guys are, reccomend ;) (i watched live 10 times and im sure im in thelow to medium average attendance :P)
Give, Hero of the Day, a listen. The Thing That Should not Be. The Unforgiven, Sad but True, The Day that Never Comes, King Nothing, Creeping Death and so many more! Metallica may be the best Band ever.
This song is one of the hardest heavy metal songs to play because james only down picks in it and most people cant play ot that way. That is why james "papa" hetfield is called the king of down picking
Thanks for your reaction. sorry for being late, I just discovered your channel--more Metallica: try Master of puppets live from the Québec Magnetic show--great interaction with the crowd, For whom the bell tolls (Day on the Green-1985) to watch deceased bassist Cliff Burton amazing intro, or for a piece of Metal history: The Big 4, Am I evil, with Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax & Slayer all together sharing the same stage. Have a nice day, both of you.
By the way, as far as i know, this is the only heavy metal album that has been put into the library of congress. You really need to listen to the whole album especially Disposable Heroes
Peeps need to get off Lars! Classic parts for what...40 something years now! Whatch'ya want from the guy? I'm sure if you asked James, Would Metallica function without Lars he would probably say no way in hell. Lars does not get enough props. Dude is a freak. He us the business while James is the man.
Master of Puppets was written by their late, lamented original bass player Cliff Burton ... about his drug addiction issues. Playing this at the end of each concert is their homage to Cliff.
@@xorrynhexblade9486 Cliff didn't write it, it was written by James, Kirk, and Lars. He didn't have a drug addiction, James had a drinking problem and related that problem to drugs to form the basis of this song. And it's not an homage to Cliff, it's just their most famous song and one of the most influencial metal songs of all time. If they were really paying homage to Cliff, the would play Orion or To Live Is To Die, the latter literally being an homage to Cliff. Sorry if this came off as confrontational, just trying to state the facts.

What do you recommend we check out next from Metallica?

James voice is garbage now though. Has been for a pretty long time.
Greatest band ever 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘…right now doing a 2 year World Tour….every venue ( stadiums) is sold out….42 years dominating the World of Music
Got to go over the Summer!
James has one of the greatest super villain laughs I've ever heard.😂
The lyrics to this song are bloody genius as well
The only live version is from Seattle 1989, it has a special intro!!!
I love the Seattle 89 performance, but the best might be Quebec 86. Fast and precise

Sad but true 🔥 live in Moscow
I like how James asks the sound tech to turn up Robert’s bass volume up.
My third favourite Metallica song. My second favourite is CREEPING DEATH, and my beloved Metallica song is FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS
Should watch them with a crowd. I've seen them 5 times, 1st in 92 and it blew my mind
Always always always gonto the Seattle 89 concert for anything released prior to the black album
I saw them play in Amarillo, Texas, when I was in high school, in or around '88. Great concert.

JUMP IN THE FIRE, WHIPLASH, DISPOSABLE HEROES, FADE TO BLACK
Do Master of puppets Seattle ‘89
James has the best maniacal laugh.

The entire album is Great!
Yeah.. The guys tore up Howards little studio! hehe
Love your reaction. Check out Enter Sandman 1991 concert in Moscow. 1.6 million people in attendance

Lulu omfg 😍
Mexico city 2009 is a must
This live version is a slower than the album version, you must hear the original version.

Holy Shit.
Feel like watching Stranger Things Season 4 again
I feel you!!
I kind of like the raw and messed up audio. Is it better to be a prestine recording instead?
I see another masterpiece in this video which is not Metallica..

Just not a good mix, should try 89 or 91
Bs. This version’s great
@@playermartin286 no it’s not the mix is horrible, the drums r overpowering the rest and the vocals r turned down to much
@@jmoney6900 sounds alright by me. Don't forget it small place they're playing. So it ok by my standards. JS been fan since 84

what? Mix is awesome
Greetings from Thailand I'd like to introduce you to the live performance of Metallica,
Creeping death Moscow'91. This is the best.
I can not believe that you have never heard of Master Of Puppets !! God Bless Your Soul !!
James is the coolest MFer alive
Yes, indeed
This is the worst live version I’ve ever seen of this song by them [not their fault]. The audio on the mics was awful.
I kinda disagree
@@MUSiC-world-20986 ok. Post the link of their worst live version IYO. And I'm not talking about some idiots phone recorded version.
Saying "you like Metallica", saying this without actually ever listened to probably the best trash album of all time? 🙈🫣🤟👊🤭
I love Indian food. Never had a Gulab Jamun though.
