The thing you are missing here is that Cam Bynum is the best player in the Vikings secondary. He will be a fixture for the foreseeable future.

Vikings straight fleeced the Bills anyway you slice it.

And then they get fleeced by the Texans, it came full circle.

@@OkagaCaliforniaa 25 2 is a gross overpayment for what Diggs is at this point in his career.

@@PLLuxury-bt6po They got back a 5th and a 6th, they paid the Texans to get rid of him.

@OkagaCalifornia Meh. If the Vikings come away with an elite qb then it won't matter what they paid to get him. And if the qb is a bust, it won't matter either as it will be a total reset. So it's really a no lose trade for the Vikings.

@@wyattholtsclaw9606 I was saying that the Bills got fleeced, not the Vikings. I think the Vikings should do what they need to get their guy.

Basically Vikings won that trade in hindsight, but viewing the trade in a "vaccum" doesn't really do this situation justice. Motives are important. Minnesota unloaded what was going to be a very expensive good receiver, and in return got a cheap draft pick that turned into a GREAT receiver. That's a dub, however Minnesota has always been one of those fringe teams. No one has considered them deep enough to "win it all." So they've been in this borderline phase between a "rebuild" and a "readjust" for several years now. And it only seems like recently have they started taking really drastic moves. Unloading Cousins was a smart move. Not to speak ill about the guy, he's okay, but when you resign to a guy like Cousins you're basically capping your teams potential after a certain threshold. He's a fringe good QB just like Vikings have been a fringe good team.
Bills, in hindsight, got a true #1 for Josh Allen. At the time, they looked like that team that was literally "one move away" from making a deep run for a lombardi. And this trade did yield them AFC east divisional championships 4 consecutive years. So I wouldn't say nothing came out of this, but they were obviously thinking Superbowl, and the furthest they got was a conference championship loss in 2020. I guess if you want to be cynic you could say all this trade yielded was padded stats for Allen. But I choose to look at it as it gave Buffalo the most success they've had since the 90s. But now Diggs is gone, and Buffalo is looking more like a fringe team now. Who knows, but the AFC east has been soft for years. Brady and New England took advantage of that, and so did that loaded Buffalo squad 2020-2024. With the return of Rodgers, and now a comparatively competitive Miami squad, the grip might be tightening in the east. At the least, even if Buffalo does good this year, Jets and Dolphins are going to be on their heels all year waiting for a slip up.

Diggs is a crybaby who gives up on his team as soon as hes not the focal point. He will play great next year with texans but after that im sure he will find something to bitch about .

Wow, very lopsided towards Vikings. The Bills are still taking his cap hit for the 2024 season IIRC

Vikings only won the pick because they hit on JJetts. And only cause the eagles passed on him for a wr bust lol
