I’ve found this super helpful because real rolling doesn’t look exactly like drilling. The concepts are the same but the positions get murky. So seeing the system work under pressure over and over with variation introduced is so engaging and illuminating. Thank you and keep it up!!!

I'm a blue belt and this might be the best side control escape video I've watched. You accurately show just how difficult it is to escape side control while narrating your way through your escapes. Very well done! I have a greater appreciation for underhooks now.

Brilliant. Definitely need the GI version with Alex. Maybe even escaping different variations of side control too as this is my least favorite position and hardest to escape especially when the guy is bigger/stronger. Thanks again man!!!

I see side control I clicked. I've learnt so much escape of side control from Andre Galvao, Marcelo Garcia, Brian Peterson, Rener Gracie, Alexander Ribeiro, but there's one thing I miss. All the escape I've learnt is from same size opponent not bigger stronger and more skill. The last time I got in side mount position a 265lbs dude pinned me and I can't move All the techniques I've learnt gone in seconds. Any tips for me sir?

@@counterkidnapping1737 agaisnt bigger people the concepts are all the same but just more difficult to pull off. Against a big guy I'd definitely try to escape the exact same way I do in the video. Underhook! 🙂

Gold per usual. I love the systemization in some of your videos, like the half guard top one. I would love to see other in that style, collar sleeve, spider guard etc. I also think entries and transitions is a subject alot of content creators miss. That's why your narrated roll videos are so great; you can see it all in real time and how techniques work against resistance. I've been much more aggressive with my collar sleeve, and guard in general since I've started watching your roll videos. Actually one topic comes to mind, since it's kind of the new nogi "meta"; Wrestle up from guard! Would love to see your take on that subject if you already haven't done it. really seems like your style.
Also: look at you with over 25k subscribers! Well deserved!
