That definately would've been cool for the insert to be rose gold as well. I'm just glad it's a real Zippo lol. Under the sticker on the white cardboard sleeve for the box there is another sticker that said it was originally unbuffed unplated.
Fully understand that. I really really wanted one and decided to take a chance. Am very pleased with it. Now watch, Zippo will come out with one in the next few months for cheaper lol.
I would love to get into plating my own Zippos. I really wanted a rose gold 1941 replica. This was the only place I could find that offered them. I'm very happy I bought one. It's a really nice Zippo.🙂
@@zippolyonsden1623 hey you were right by the way! a while back i was telling that guard matt at school about the girl who walked away from me at the party. and then today outta nowhere he gave me a pack of cigarettes. i was like no thanks, i dont smoke, but he said just take em to the next party so youre prepared. the box says newport menthol gold 100's, he said thats his wifes favorite kind, but she cant smoke right now cause shes pregnant. and i think thats the exact kind you said i should get!
First the shape is different. An armor Zippo is the same shape as regular Zippos yet has a 1.5 times times thicker case than a normal Zippo. A 1941 replica though having the same case thickness as a regular Zippo it has more rounded edges like they had back in the early 1940s. A 1941 replica also has a four barrel hinge while both armored and regular Zippos have the standard five barrel hinge. Hope this helps.✌️
That's good to know actually. I've never weighed them before except for my Sterling silver ones out of curiosity. Were they the same style? Like solid brass and solid brass or one chrome and one black crackle? Now I want to go weigh my Zippos lol.
Looks cool. Woulda been nice if the insert was rose gold.

Very cool! I know you love your rose golds! Glad you finally got that 1942 replica, Thanks for sharing!
I very happy that I took the chance and ordered it. I think it's pretty cool.😁
I would buy one if they were plated in USA and available on the website.

Nice
Thank you. I saw these available on Ebay and thought why not take a chance. I've been wanting a rose gold 41 replica for a while now.

@@Shorty43204 that is funny/cool. Now you have some just in case for next time👍
@@zippolyonsden1623 yeah! hey do you know how much these cost? i feel like i should give him some money on Monday
Around by where I am from a pack of Newports sell for about $9
Very cool 👍
Thank you🙂
Cool. Why can’t we get those here
Because zippo hates us North Americans. Asian market gets everything they want
It was a custom made in South Korea. It only took about two and a half weeks to receive in the mail.
What I found weird was it was originally an unplated Zippo. Never knew one could buy one that way.
Rose Gold (coloring) on the USA version is a bit too red. This one is just fit.
What's the difference between a 41 replica and a armored Zippo

I notice 41 does way more than a regular by 2 G

a real brass insert would have looked cooler in this case
Yes it would look really cool with a brass insert. For a custom it turned out pretty cool though. I'm also glad it's a real Zippo as well.
