Thank you very much. I know what you mean about the stores not existing after a while. I bought a nice Game of Thrones Zorro lighter a few years ago, and now I can't find the store/seller who had them. Only problem I've ever had in ordering was a store had sent me the wrong color lighter than what I had ordered. They refunded me the purchase price, except the shipping cost, and let me keep the lighter. I've had worse happen ordering off of Ebay from people in the States, lol.

Sorry to hear that. I've never had that issue before where it only lit a couple of times before running out of fluid. I have to ask though. You did use regular lighter fluid and not butane, correct?

@@zippolyonsden1623 Yes, though we do have both types of fuel because we both got the adapters for butane. Since my lighter (my brother's works great) never worked right, I haven't bothered trying the butane.

One more question. Did you repack the insert? Running the wick through the rayon in an "S" pattern. They do not come from Zippo packed correctly. Adding more rayon than what came with the Zippo could also cause it to be packed too tightly and not letting the fluid to absorb up and through the wick. There are a few good videos here on UA-cam that demonstrate how to properly repack a Zippo insert. As for the rubber seals, I've found them to be not worth it.

They really are sweet. With all the talk about possible new tariffs on Chinese goods, I felt I'd better get them before that happens, lol.

Same here for me that Zippo will always be #1. Being a collector of other brands of lighters as well, though, I felt I needed these in my collection. For the price, I couldn't resist.

They definitely are worth it. I ordered them November 16th and they arrived today. That was pretty quick coming from China. The three barrel one is 180 grams and the five barrel is 185 grams for just the case. Definitely a better constructed lighter for less than half the price for a Zippo solid copper.

@ yeah I actually just pulled out my brass one that I silver plated. Used the brass zorro insert also. I’m zorro fanatic 77 for the next few weeks

I saw the video on the one you silver plated. It turned out really sweet! I may have to go with gavin.lannan's suggestion and be Zorro Lyons Den for the holidays, lol. I have a titanium one coming in the mail yet. Been thinking about getting one of their pinball movement inserts.

They really are better than I thought they would be. They came from overseas somewhere in China according to the tracking. Lmao about the Zorro Lyons Den 🤣🤣. I wanted to order a few they have available before any new tariffs may take effect.

No secret. I ordered them through Aliexpress. I didn't think to put a link in the description, lol. I always forget about doing that. I must be getting old 😁. I'll have to fix that when I get home later.

I've been feeling the same way with Zippo and their prices in the last couple of years. Have also been very pleased with the Zorros I've gotten for my collection. They really are sweet lighters.

It really is sweet that I finally was able to get it working again.

The more I've been using it, the more I like it. I'm waiting for copper ones to come in the mail, hopefully soon. That is really cool about the Carlson War Armor! I didn't know that. I'm debating getting the Zorro titanium alloy one as well.

@ u can order a round top or square top. Pretty cool to have the option. Get the titanium. It’s way lighter in weight but so durable. A hunk of titanium That big has such a nice feel to it. Also u can anodize it any colour u want just gotta hook it up to electricity

I'm really liking the feel of the square top. Will definitely have to order the titanium one. They're all pretty cheap on Aliexpress currently. I wish I had started using the brass one sooner.

I've seen that one you mentioned on Aliexpress. I'm currently debating getting the titanium alloy 912. That's awesome to hear that these retain fuel that long! Thank you for letting me know.

@@zippolyonsden1623 I'm after a titanium one too, and a copper one , new seals will come with them too , they cost more here in the UK just like a zippo.

I'm trying to get the ones I want before next year starts and possible extra tariffs are applied here in the states. I'll be making a video on the copper ones when they get here. Hopefully sometime next month.

Zorro definitely does have some pretty cool designs available. It's taken me a while to appreciate them after being a Zippo collector for years now as well. These 912 styles are really slick. I'm looking forward to getting the solid copper ones.

I can not believe I actually was able to find a bit long and small enough to be able to do it. Was only $2. Had to try it.

Welcome. The more I use the Zorro, the more I'm liking it. Having an actual brass insert as well instead of a brass colored steel insert is a cool bonus. I really like brass, lol.

Especially with these older ones that have more involved lighting mechanisms. Not as easy as drilling a flint out of a Zippo, lol.

It does look very similar to the flame light you have. Kinda funny how dirty it was and how bad the flint degraded. It took forever to drill the flint out.

Yeah, I wish Zippo would've offered them at a cheaper price. I had found out on a Reddit group that they were coming out almost a year before Zippo released them and saved up for it. I have two solid copper Zorro lighters coming from China. They're thicker than this Zippo one and have machined hinges right into the case. Each was only one-third the price of this Zippo one. Looking forward to making a video on those.

That's what I paid for my first dual torch insert as well. These, at this price, would make great gifts 🎁 for people.

I ended up discovering where the soldier whose name is on the lighter was from the same town in Wisconsin as my paternal grandfather. I like to imagine that they knew one another.

I've had it now for about two years. It's the first WWII Zippo I was able to add to my collection. My other one is a four barrel from 1942.

I didn't have any problems with it coming off. Just didn't like the hassle of using them.

Since Jennifer and I discovered what manganese glass is, thanks to a fellow collector friend, we've been checking everything we see at stores, lol.
