Great video buds. I want zippo to make a rose gold 41. One thing I don’t like now is they got rid of the patend number and now says 41 replica instead. So hold on to this one if u still got it.
Older guy here with a new interest in collecting zippos. I now have 6. Ahaa! Liking your video here. Keep them coming on other zippos that interest you.
Please note...During my comparison I failed to mention that the “1941” Zippo also has fewer chimney holes than the modern version. I will try to edit that in!
I wanted to write that, but its your re iew and did not want to mention that!!! Btw,the inner chamber is flat ... But very good review, just subbed to your channel!!!
While filling you can put inner chamber over the extirior one ,so that liquid does not drip out on your desk or whatever! PS-on this vintig you can the opening / top put all to the extirior chamber .and in the new ones you can do it only half the way! Got all the info befor I got it, and waited for it 3 months!!! But it was worth it!!!
I have mine zippo vintage crome 1941 as you have! Its a very good lighter and many little diferrences from the now day zippo makes it all more valuable/dear to me!! Great video!!!
@Yeah Right yes 4 barrel hinge is the best hinge zippo has to offer. I have a video showing all the hinges over the years and what changed and why the 4 barrel reigns supreme.
New to your channel, love it! Just bought me one, and it will arrive Wed so can't wait to get home from work! I paid like 24 bucks an it has the fluid and flints, absolutely can't beat it! Thanks man!
Correction The Brass 1941 Replica did not come with the additional flints and fluid, that was totally a mistake on my part from looking at so many different ones on Amazon! The brushed Brass 41 replica has become my new carry!
I just got a brass 1941. It’s great in all respects, except for one small flaw. After lighting up I noticed the insert creeps up a tiny amount. And, after 3-4 consecutive lights the insert has crept up so much that the cover won’t close. Pushing the insert down allows for normal lighting. Has anyone else had this problem? Or, is this a one off situation.
Technically 41 replicas aren't true replicas. The bottom is flat as apposed to slightly rounded the chimney should be more closed, the grooves should be horizontal not diagonal. And of course the obvious bottom stamp. Also the wicks are not interwoven when you get them you gotta do that yourself
The 4-barrel hinge on the ‘41 allows for full extension which ultimately puts less stress on the hinge itself as opposed to the modern 5-barrel hinge which stops short, so it is arguable that over time the1941 is the better design. That said, both versions will have some play and feel looser at full open for easier action.
NoBetaGear Thank you! So the hinges are a little loose in purpose, does that intentional wiggle room worsen over time or does it remain the same? In other words, is this lighter reliable over time? I got a little concerned when I felt the wiggle in real life and the lighter felt kinda cheap due to that and not as life-long-lasting as they claim. Also, I notice that the insert seems to fit differently in the ‘41, is this an issue? Does it move around inside or is it more/less solid than on the regular?
Duke Nukem If you remove the insert from any Zippo you will notice the outer case will feel very loose because the insert houses the cam spring which provides the pivot resistance and gives the lid its proper action. (The 1941 accommodates standard inserts no problems.) Zippo’s are amazingly durable and are guaranteed from defects for life...they are the original/ultimate fidget toy, designed to be flipped open/shut hundreds of times per week and should last for generations. Good luck and thanks for watching!
I love that these are still made in the US ❤
Thanks for tuning in!

Much appreciated!
I carry the 1935 model, its sleek and fun to toy with, but you can't go wrong with the 41

Zippo was founded in 1931 👍

Oh, today I’ve got the same Zippo Replica 1941 and it was made in August '18 too)
It's definitely a great lighter, thanks for watching!
@@nobetagear yeah, it's really amazing! Like its sound and classy look)
Buck knife, Zippo lighter and Winchester rifle…AMERICA!
Bandana/handkerchief, zippo lighter, knife and a pistol. It covers almost any budget

It s a design flaw that the 41 model suffers from. That is why i got a 35 replica instead.
The flick-click sound is also a good way to make your girlfriend psychotic.

Yeah the inserts aren’t accurate either. They had horizontal lines on the flint wheel instead of the diagonal weave pattern that I on it now.
Cool lighters, Zippo should do only Armor. Better sound feel better click in my opinion
Thanks for tuning in!
Will all Zippo inserts fit the shell?
Absolutely, I have a zippo dual-butane torch insert that I utilize with this one from time to time. Thanks for watching!
@@nobetagear Thanks for following up! 🖖🏼
Does anyone know if the HINGE on the 1941 replica is any sturdier and less wiggly than the one in a regular modern Zippo?
