    --------------------------------------------------------
This DVD features Larry Norman live in concert in the northwestern American state of Oregon, during the summer of 2005. The 17 tracks include a good number of Larry's hits from the '70s including "The Great American Novel", "The Outlaw", "Reader's Digest", "Song For A Small Circle Of Friends", "Six Sixty Six" and the immortal "Why Don't You Look Into Jesus". But, there are plenty of lesser-known Norman songs that are just as good. These include "Let The Rain Fall Down" and "God Part 3". In spite of recent concerns over Larry's health he appears in good voice on this recording, and on a number of solo songs he proves that he is still a virtuoso when it comes to playing rootsy rock music on a Spanish guitar. During the concert Norman is aided and abetted by an incredibly wide range of excellent musicians including the Catholic singer Julie Hoy, Michael Manning and his musical saw plus the superb Severin sisters - twins who play bluegrass banjo, fiddle, guitar, mandolin and cello. As a support act five earnest blind a cappella singers from Liberia sing 'Ba Yo Ne' and 'Lay Your Hands On Me'. But, the ultimate guest star turns out to be Frank Black, the lead singer of The Pixies - credited by many as the source of inspiration for grunge artists such as Pearl Jam and Kurt Cobain of Nirvana. Larry's fans have grown accustomed, after many years' experience, to expect the unexpected at his concerts. Hence, the audience are treated to the bizarre sight of the singer in a dinner jacket and bow tie crooning his way through "The September Song" which was a '40s hit for Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra. Even stranger is Larry's rendition of "The Wabbit & The Twain" which could have been written by the lisping politician Roy Hattersly. Although understandably touted as the Godfather of Contemporary Christian Music Larry and the CCM scene have generally kept a healthy distance from one another over the past 35 years. Judging by this super show reconciliation doesn't look imminent - nor indeed necessary.

Larry would have been 75 today, April 8, 2022. He wasn’t perfect (just like YOU & I), but oh, what a brilliant and wonderful witness for Christ he was and, posthumously, continues to be. And one of the greatest lyricists ever.

He was, hands down, the best guy to see live. He invited you into his livingroom and shared himself, and let others share with him. Still brings tears to my eyes. Real intimate guy. So much controversy about him as he got older and things seemed to fall apart. I choose to remember him as he was in the early years. Just so honest.

If King David, a man after God's heart could steal another man's wife and have that man murdered and still have the "Son of God" born through his lineage at God's design I think most of us should be able to overlook the humanity of Larry Norman as we pray that God through Jesus Christ has given to us Redemption. Amen to your thoughts!

Great footage of a wonderful artist who was a gift from God.
I wish the people who want to keep referencing Larry as a sinner would grow up and live in the real world with the rest of us. Oh that's the world where Gods grace is all we have to rely on and we keep hitting that brick wall called ourselves but Gods Spirit keeps picking us up and empowering us to be just a little like Jesus. There was an old saying and it bears repeating even today! And I've remembered it from back then! It goes like this and applies today! Please be patient with me God is not finished with me yet! How true that is even today! We still make mistakes because we're human! But when we learn through Christ we learn from those mistakes! I made a lot of mistakes in my life! But I've learned through each and every one of them!

Sure is great sound! A lot better than many concerts on UA-cam I've tried to listen to. Although I really love the old hymns now, when I first received Jesus as my Savior & Lord it was great to be able to listen to Larry 's music since his and just a few others were playing the type of music that I essentially grew up listening to.
Watching some of the people's videos "telling on" him and "exposing" his failures and faults..... well it gives one a deep appreciation of God's unconditional love. Because without God's unconditional love, His mercy and His grace not only Larry but none of us would ever make it to Heaven. May our awesome God be glorified!

The way things have been happening I have NO DOUBT that Father Jesus wants Sir Mick to put away his sleepless nights so he can rest in the arms of his ahhhhheavenly Father Jesus and see what true satisfaction issss... BTW, Mr. Newman did a fantastic rendition of Jagger...bravo...encore !! ~God is so good~

Wow! That was quite a confession during the add lib with about 6:10 left in the video. Kinda ruins the movie, especially since this concert happened in 2007. Thank God that he had the chance to confess this publicly, and testify of God picking him up from it. Forgiveness - what a concept. Many great people have made BIG mistakes. Not all of them have been effective in their faith despite it as Larry has, and he wouldn't want to be lifted up, like He exalts Jesus. i'm glad i'm not famous. If the sins that kept me from God, and my failures still were made public instead of just confessed, and i had no redemption in Jesus, then i would never be able to move forward in His will.

At some point in the early 2000's he had a poet for an opening act. Does anyone know the name of the poet? He was incredible, and I'd love to look him up.

Oh, yeah. They were both folkies. Dylan was an influence on Larry from the 60s. Larry even did sendup of Dylan's intro to "Bob Dylan's 115th Dream" on "Nightmare #97." He also used to claim he helped Dylan convert to Christianity during his "born again years".

I'm a little bit stunned.....we need the Bible and Holy Ghost to lead guide and direct us if we are going to impact this evil, fallen world at all. We got to get back to the Great Commission and let that be what drives us and nothing but!

And you actually believe them? -- Right?
All that is some of the worst Christian against Christian bashing I have ever seem and it is sad to see such sadness faked in Fallen Angel. Fake tears that never fell from Randy was horrible. He could of at least got some false tears or used onions, but that was horrible acting on his part...
But... I pray for them all -- They need it.
Was Larry a saint? -- By no means (Are any of us?) but to pull him to shreds as that false documentary and then release it after his death was shameful.

+Kevin Freed Some who love Larry and have a long association with him think the docu is just bashing and gossip. Larry was a human like all of us, he had problems and personality faults. Why not discuss it openly? Why treat him like a saint? I'm glad I got to see how he really was. Pride and arrogance is a sin, and Larry fell hard. We can all still love him anyway.

I keep inviting Lucifer and to this day he has not come into the fold yet I pray HE will be the last one on the knees ROMANS 10:9 and hope for theory of Reconcilation of all things YET GOD is creator and we are all the clay. We all get to choose what we want to do with the gift of salvation that God holds out to everyone, Greg. Most all of us on this comment board realized, Larry or no Larry, that we needed Jesus as our Savior to save us from our sins because we weren't able to save ourselves....and now we get to go to Heaven instead of Hell and it doesn't have anything to do with us. It's focusing on Jesus and what He has accomplished for us. With love & care..Dave.

I pray for you brother. To fall to GOD'S wrath is definitely not something you want to do. Believe me Hell is not where you want to go. It's not going to be a big party contrary to what may say. Time is running out. The end is coming fast. Don't get left behind.

I also lived on his music but then left the Church after I met people from different cultures and religions and realized Evangelical Christianity was just another blip on the map. I still respect his talent during his peak years in the 70s though. Those recordings still have an element of beauty in them.

2020 made ne RUN back to God. The blinders fell off my eyes and I saw how much more evil the world had become since my youth. 20 years I was backslidden. In those 20 yrs the only thing that didnt change was God. Everything the Bible says is true. I thank Him every day for His Word that was hidden in my heart since my childhood. I'm now listening to Larry Norman again.... 🎵 Why don't you look into Jesus? He's got the answer. 🎵
