Just pouring that amount of race fuel doesn’t bring you up to 105 octane. It will probably bring it up not even 1 octane depending on how much fuel is already in your car.
Here in Brazil we use etanol, 102 octanes in normal pump gas. If we use some octane booster it's not that hard to get something like 115octanes. Also, ethanol makes the engine "less hot" compared to normal or premium gas, but the disadvantage is that engine drinks a bit more fuel. The smell is actually nice too compared to gas.
could be different readings of octane making them the same just looking different like how uk is to the us. uk has higher numbers than the us but we use the same thing. in the us shell is one of they best places to get premium gas because of the additives they use and how much they use.
Thank you! Yes they're awesome and we always have fun recording the videos together. And yes the do enjoy cars a lot. Installed almost all my mods with Darryl. I'm happy you enjoyed!
Cool vid, i have a M2, Manual 6 speed. Dinan, Fabspeed exhaust, etc.. I never ventured to put racing fuel in it because I didn't want to blow it up LOL. Well, bought a Ferrari a few months ago; my M2 isn't as exciting as it used to be obviously....I think now i might try it after watching this vid. Great work overall...though i'd say looks like shifting quite late on take off 1st and 2nd gear...any reason for that?
Honestly these videos are incredible! Your M2 is unbelievable i have a BMW M235i the N55 is such an incredible engine. Daryl makes these videos i love that
Thank you bro! I'm really happy you're enjoying them. It really is an amazing engine and I can only imagine how crazy the kick you get with BMW's AWD is
@@collectingms3803 i’d like to know that feeling too but i’m in the UK they only have RWD M light cars soo yeh similar experience, needs a LSD coz its sooo slippy! Getting the exhaust done this Friday and i’m soo pumped for that!
@@joshchapman7462 Ah gotcha gotcha. I never knew the M240i RWD didn't come with an LSD from factory. Really interesting to know. I'm excited for you bro! Literally all the N55 exhausts sound amazing so I'm sure you're gonna love it!
Thank you bro! I'm really happy you're enjoying them. That must be awesome! You've got access to the unrestricted parts of the autobahn as well? I'd love to drive there one day
Hardly an insane improvement. Not at all surprised that you experienced a minimal improvement between USA pump gas and race gas, as your pump gas is rubbish. Over here in the UK we can get 99 octane fuel from most gas stations so the difference would be even less than what you found. Also, that isn't race gas, that is just an octane booster. BIG difference.
If you really want to, you should convert that car to run on compressed natural gas. Believe it or not but CNG has an octane rating of 130. No or has done this to their high performance car. You’ll be the first one to ever do something like this

in fact in alot of cases it can reduce power unless you have tuned timing or have the ECU tuned to use the extra octane.
Pops so chill wtf

Hey bro! Yeah it was pretty crazy in person haha - one of the best car memories for sure
Great emotions, cool car and a positive grandpa there :D Thanks for the video man.

The number system between US and UK are different so the 91 in the US is actually pretty close to the same as the 99 in UK.

I click to see the old mans reaction
are you cat-less? was the fuel leaded or unleaded?
Hey bro! It's catless yes and unleaded
91 octane is the same as 98 in europ so its actually not a big difference
Did you measure 100-200kmh times?
What about the tune 😂
Not real race fuel. And the 2nd test was in the evening with lower temp.
Check your spark plugs I guarantee they’re orange do not use the stuff
How much did they pay you to do this video?
Chode vives
