I've created the stupidest bot you can imagine to see if it's possible to win a race in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with random inputs.

Fun Fact: if given infinite time, Randy could theoretically get the world record time on every single track in the game.
That's not necessarily true. We don't know the frequency at which he presses buttons, and I don't think he can press 2 at once
@@sirjid Both the frequency and the amount of presses are random. The chances are very low, but never 0.
Not true, because some world records use motion controls.
@@AGalaxyGuy There's a chance Randy could press + and Y very quickly and perform a gyroscope input.

I think Jorts really gets it: we should have *more* races where people have their breaks cut. The point of a race to go as fast as possible, and breaks only make you slow, so we should just remove them for every race ever. There is absolutely no way this could ever cause problems.
But also you can use the brakes to go faster

(Just because it's not obvious with text, I'm playing this up a lot. Obviously braking can improve situations to let you go faster overall)
@@Music7Ada yea, i get what you mean though, and if you play custom races (aka the mode where you can make it so certain items can and cant appear) you can actually just make it... a racing game, but mario kart is more like a party game

I love randy so much, the fact a basic script of ones and zeros can suddenly feel lively and with a heart and soul trying it's best at life when it feels like doing it is an interesting feeling, naming it randy helped push that out a ton, and using only waluigi for randy feels oddly perfectly fitting and accurate to what randy would look like, the characters have such similar energy and silly quirks, this has become my favorite series on youtube already.

Jorts you should do a challenge in Mario odyssey but you lose different button inputs every time you die. Or every time you die your vision range is lowered

Honestly, random Item attacks are less annoying in single player than when I'm playing with someone else or online. It's far less aggravating when other ayers are trying to win against you, but in Single it feels like the game is just trying to screw you over lol

If you think about it, you basically developed a cpu controlled kart racer at this point. Obviously CPU racers will be more heavily weighted towards certain actions, and have more restrictions. It's still pretty cool though. :D The final result was actually pretty impressive too. I'm really surprised what you were able to "coach" Randy into achieving! :D

I use smart steer and auto-accelerate to let my 3 and 5 year old nephews race each other, and more than once the 3 year old's abandoned controller has won
Please do a grand Prix where all characters do random inputs if possible! It would be interesting to see who wins
