this game has a steep learning curve but once you get the hang of it it is fantastic, took me a good 2 to3 hours to get the proper steering and leaning down and within the next 4 hours made to 25th on leaderboards
This looks quite good. I've always wanted motorcycle racing in VR, a good handlebar controller could be a key improvement though. I wonder how this compares to UEVR injected titles on PC.
Just started riding irl this year Do it!! Physics look wrong tbh, handlebars going wrong way, over 10 mph or so the steering switches and you have to counter steer True story, fun as all hek
Why do bike sims never understand how riding a bike is like. You don't steer with the handlebars, you use the weight of your body to lean side to side into corners and use the brakes and accelerator to adjust your speed. It would have been so much better using the helmet/VR as the mechanism for steering, keeping the controllers for brakes and accelerator only. This also means that it currently loses all sense of realism because the helmet remains horizontal all the time and doesn't move with the direction of the bends.
Nah your head movement dictates the leaning of the bike , I’m not exactly sure why his gameplay looks like this tbh , I didn’t see an option for a spectator helmet view either, my recordings didn’t look like this
It seems like your riders head is just floating in the air… it seems like it would be kind of jarring when you bike is swinging below your floating head.
I see that it is. Gotta check it out. I've been riding for 45 years.....I know, I'm old...... everything from dirt bikes, sport bikes and touring bikes. Can't wait to try it.
I'd like to give it a shot, but I've been two wheels only for going on 3 decades now, and I've usually found motorcycle video games very lacking. Too hard to capture motorcycle ergonomics, handling and engine character, let alone the differences between bikes.
Looks interesting, but I have other Bike games on my PC and STEAM gaming. I haven't set them up yet, by a few of my Bike games I can convert to VR using the UEVR injector program. Most UNREAL engine based running games can get converted using UEVR. Also 29 dollars is too much to invest in this Rider VR game. Plus probably only works with VR hand controllers which are very poor way to control the Bike . Take care.
I ride super bikes Could not get passed the tutorial because the controls would not work for me Managed to play a few of the demo's but still the controls would not work for me
how's that? the bike movement is not easily emulated of course but as an experience being on a way too powerful bike with just a few centimeters between you and the tarmac is pretty appealing and in fact I've dreamt of a VR game like this.
I don't know, imagine ripping a wheelie out of an apex on a 6dof moto sim rig with force feedback controls and a buttkicker subwooffer under your ass. Oh, and fans blowing at ya! Everything exists to make it happen as we speak! 😮
@@xpnuggetbear All of these also exist for flight sims, driving sims and are way better developed. Even then, motion rigs for sim racing are underwhelming at best due to lack of G forces, weight transfer or inertia which in case of bikes will be 10-fold more pronounced. You could make a better case for unicycle sim than a bike sim. Even with all these bikes still remain the worst vehicle to simulate in any remotely convincing way.
If you like Horizon, you may like The Crew: Motorfest. I, for one, like track racers such as Forza Motorsport. But I understand they're not for everyone.
Valid point. More diverse tracks would be awesome. I think it's because these are based on real world tracks for the specific type of motorcycle racing
Finally stand alone racing game that actually looks worth it.
You'll love the video next week then 😉
imagine going to one of those arcades and riding on one of those bikes. Would be so epic
I actually race motorcycles like this. So this will be really fun to see how accurate it is.
I'm a canyon knee dragger here in SO Cali as well . This looks awesome !. R1 green eggs and Yamaha
I love the way you can laugh at yourself.
Only issue I have with vr racing games is holding my hands up gets them sore very quickly.
Wish there was a side by side view of you playing to actually see the mechanics of riding..
Yeah should have done that. The area where I film is kind of in transition so I didn't have my gear set up for it. Sorry !
riding is realistic with leaning and turning looking into your turns will make the bike respond in turn as it would in real life
Yea, definitely could have used a 3rd person camera angle of you
Looks really cool. Safest way to ride!!! Lol
I can’t wait for a dirt bike VR game for quest!
Their is! It's called moto x vr
Last is a place.
Wish there were games like this but with off road bikes and tracks
I'm definitely getting this! I would love for them to have dirt bike racing, etc.
But can you wheelie???
Looks fantastic and challenging, which it should be.
This looks great!
Looks fun ima keep my eye on it
this game has a steep learning curve but once you get the hang of it it is fantastic, took me a good 2 to3 hours to get the proper steering and leaning down and within the next 4 hours made to 25th on leaderboards
Bought it in beta and even as a rider is very challenging

Seriously can they release a damn game with Quest 3 optimisation? Sick of waiting months to get quest 3 textures etc etc
Thank you.
Hopefully this is on try to buy list because I want to see if this give me motion sickness or not.
I played runner and had no motion sickness at all!!
"Oh sugaaarr!" 😂
Yea I’ve been playing this on my couch it’s fire but I’m so trash 😂
Are there any variations in the tracks? It is always nice to have scenic landscapes to drive through in any racing game.
If the devs would add ragdoll when you crash I’d get it. Players should be able to toggle it on or off in comfort settings.
There needs to be an attachment handlebars for this game.
need the road rash mod
I wish when you crashed you would go tumbling in VR 😃 …bet that would be cool and immersive
motion sickness
@@jam_thagoat3283 A ton of us don't get sick and would like the option to be immersed in our VR games.
Why is there no hands on the handle bars for gods sake ? Looks stupid with the empty bars flapping around.
We need a offical VR supported Motorcycle game with telephony..
This needs a 6dof moto sim rig with force feedback controls. It shall be built. 😊

It seems odd the bike rotates but you aren’t or is that just how the capture works?
Can you race friends or just random online lobbies?
it looks good but from your video it seems the riders heads dosent realistically move with the bike
Nah your head movement dictates the leaning of the bike , I’m not exactly sure why his gameplay looks like this tbh , I didn’t see an option for a spectator helmet view either, my recordings didn’t look like this
When you have Quest 3 in the title, can you state if it is exclusive to the 3 ... or available for Quest 2
Yes I'll remember to do that sorry. Most games these days are for both but I'll definitely start doing that. Thank you!
@@BMFVR I understand that Quest 3 gets the clicks right now... but thanks.
Yes i also have quest 2 and since 3 came suddenly we forgot 2,a bit annoying and still doesn't know if this game is for 2 also
@@harpapmacyeah bud you can playi@ it on Quest 2. It's not even optimised for Quest 3
Yeah bud you can play it on Quest 2... its not optimised for Quest 3

OMG, is this available for Quest 2?
Right?? I ride a Ninja 650 and can’t WAIT to do this!

@@rickmiller36 old here too, dirt & cruisers & sport, so it looks like a good thrill 😆
Yes it is
can you also hook up a controller(gamepad)?
I wish there were a way too 😞
Just buy a console then..
That be cheating too

Is there countersteering? Lol
This is what I would like to know
Lmao.
For a game it looks fun.
But that's nothing like riding a fast motorbike.
Is this bad for people prone to motion sickness?
No it’s fine
Does this have quest 3 update?
No which sucks
I ride super bikes
Could not get passed the tutorial because the controls would not work for me
Managed to play a few of the demo's but still the controls would not work for me
How is this possible but grid legends looks so terrible?
I don't know if you could pick worse vehicle for VR game than a racing bike if you tried...

i wish there were more driving games that are just open world like forza these track race games are so boring you have no freedom

The game looks good but I can't get over that it's just a floating helmet over a motorcycle. Hard pass!
What else would you recommend?
Track looks boring AF -- needs locations, mountains, hills
Then get Ride on PCVR
