Moto gp bikes are that stable dude but due to high wind it started to wobble at 220 mph lot of air resistence for bikes rimac reached 223 mph but still couldn't catch the gp bike in high speed wind Moto gp can go into corners and accelerate that much faster main issue is the traction and wheelie even in rolling race he was wheeling
Crazy to think the h2r (one of the fastest bikes ever made) with 300+ hp does a 9.9s quarter mile, and then the motogp bike does it in 8.6s. The difference is insane
The fastest stock production bike quarter mile was a 2012 ZX14R, doing 9.47 seconds @ 152mph. With slicks on and a good rider, a lot of production bikes can get into the 8's without any power added. As long as you're on a stock swingarm, your quarter mile time is limited by simple physics generally.
There's just not enough traction to the rear. The rear tire on that superbusa is too thin for all that power. Grippy MotoGP slicks would do wonders for it.@@Angel_EU34

Back in the day, Dani was one of the so-called 'aliens' of MotoGP along with Rossi, Lorenzo & Stoner. It's a shame he never got a top tier MotoGP title.

Honestly it's not much different to above say 180kph. Just a narrowing of focus into the tunnel. Can't do it in fear though. Like anything just built up skill and confidence. Admittedly it's a bit addictive.

One of the few episodes where I'm actually suprised. Would've never expected that the MotoGP bike can keep up. That bike was never built with the intention of drag racing - while the Rimac is more tailored towards straight line performance than towards "actual racing". Exactly, if you just know there is still a lot of juice to put out if KTM would mapped it out to it's full power & torque. But they wouldn't do that just for a show. After all it's for cars not for bikes. They are just being there to give us reference. Not to win it all because this isn't a Gp. Dani was really glad to experience driving that Nevera. Go amd watch the KTM starts in recent MotoGP. Except the last race un Austria where Ducati improved their launching. Both KTM and Dukes are rockets in MotoGP.
it's still made to accelerate as fast as possible out of a corner and also launch well at the beginning of the races, with zero consideration for comfort unlike the rimac. Moto GP make don't make a lot of compromises about acceleration. of course a Moto GP made for drag racing would be lower and longer! power to weight INCLUDING THE RIDER is at least 50% higher...
As a 1000cc super sport rider, I can only imagine the feeling on that motogp bike with the holeshot device seeing that supercharger busa being that far...amazing bikes

I thought Busa was slow, but did it in 9.6 seconds. Not to mention, everyone was doing 330kmph+. The engineering behind that motogp bike must be insane.
Homeboy was half broken trying to control something that is basically 1.5 hp per kg. It was insane for him to even be on it in his condition, and here he is trying to race some of the fastest in the world with a two wheeled slip n slide.
9.6 is about what a 600 can do. Dragspec busa with the right rider will run low 7's. Edit: I’m a derp, I’ll leave my above comment there for you all to point and laugh. Still slow af for a busa - let alone a modified one
Dani is an absolute legend. Can't think of many better riders from his era who didn't win a world title. A couple of really big crashes derailed him at crucial times but he was as quick as anyone on his day.

My cousin has a 918 weissache and we went out on Laguna Seca with it. Him and his buddies rent the track for a few days each year. Fastest car I have been in but it feels so stable and low to the ground it doesn't feel fast on the track even though it obviously is.

It is insane how fast that Hyabusa is. But wow really puts it in perspective how advanced those moto gp bikes really are. Power does not matter if you cannot put it to the ground.
The ‘Busa was actually disappointing. Turbo ‘Busa drag bikes with street legal tires can routinely run the 1/4 mile in the 7’s. The cold, unprepped asphalt surface was the culprit. The ‘Busa also needs a swingarm extension.

Furthemore the Rimac let the 9'6 seconds (as fast as a Bugatti Chiron) that the 370Hp Suzuki did look pretty dam slow.... Dude let that sink in for a while...😅😂😂😂😂. Truly amazing!!!!

I have a 1998 zx9r with 136whp and 9 inch extension that ran a 9.2 at santa pod and 9.4 on an A12 sliproad 🤣 you take the wheelies out so you can pin it from the start and you need something very very fast to keep up. Normal supercars wont cut it

This didn't make me think the Rimac was slow. This made me think Motogp bikes are WAY *WAY* faster than I thought. That is obscene. That poor busa just didn't have enough traction. Makes me think those ultrawide back tire meme-builds actually have a purpose. A car that easily crushing a busa is completely alien to me.
Funny thing this MotoGP bike was on low power map to avoid wheelspin struggling in crosswind wiggling wobbling etc 22 Ducati Moto GP bike with Mugello gearing and full power map will be much much faster than this KTM GP bike

Dani Pedrosa's launch is bonkers. Every single time he races, he just smokes the launch and perfect gear change. It's flawless. Artistic to the core. A true MotoGP legend he is.
After 5 years of retirement, he managed to finish 4th place on Sprint and main race at Spanish GP wild card. So fantastic, he outclassed active younger riders on the grid😅
As an R 1 rider , can say that Danny and Chris are amazing , moto GP bike is unreal , but the car to beat moto GP bike is on completely another level. No other car can pull this off .... need to acknowledge .

Dani is also exceptionally light at around 50 kg, yet can still handle the power and weight of the bike. Your one in a billion might be an understatement - Pedrosa is probably the best off the line in bike racing history.

The top speed record is actually owned by a KTM with 366.1 kph, Brad Binder at Mugello this year, although he probably had a bike ahead of him for slipstream. But yeah, a Ducati probably would've beaten the RIMAC, at least in the rolling race.

I once owned a Turbo Hayabusa with 301hp/282Nm and the previous owner drove it for a quarter of a mile and got low 9-second times. As I recall, 9.2s. The rear fork was extended a little (a few centimeters). At least this driver in the video hadn't practiced very much.

Go amd watch the KTM starts in recent MotoGP. Except the last race un Austria where Ducati improved their launching. Both KTM and Dukes are rockets in MotoGP.
That bike is just insane it's shocking
it's still made to accelerate as fast as possible out of a corner and also launch well at the beginning of the races, with zero consideration for comfort unlike the rimac.
Moto GP make don't make a lot of compromises about acceleration. of course a Moto GP made for drag racing would be lower and longer!
power to weight INCLUDING THE RIDER is at least 50% higher...
As a 1000cc super sport rider, I can only imagine the feeling on that motogp bike with the holeshot device seeing that supercharger busa being that far...amazing bikes

@@juneaoalfred3704 A bike designed for twisty tracks is faster than a 2000hp electric road legal drag racer. The bike can turn and brake and have that straight line speed at the same time. The MotoGP bike is faster in a straight line and would leave the rimac in the dust on a track.

I thought Busa was slow, but did it in 9.6 seconds. Not to mention, everyone was doing 330kmph+. The engineering behind that motogp bike must be insane.
Homeboy was half broken trying to control something that is basically 1.5 hp per kg. It was insane for him to even be on it in his condition, and here he is trying to race some of the fastest in the world with a two wheeled slip n slide.
That Busa is slow. Most liter bikes can do low 9's. The problem is too much power. It's not usable.
9.6 is about what a 600 can do. Dragspec busa with the right rider will run low 7's.

Dani is an absolute legend. Can't think of many better riders from his era who didn't win a world title. A couple of really big crashes derailed him at crucial times but he was as quick as anyone on his day.

My cousin has a 918 weissache and we went out on Laguna Seca with it. Him and his buddies rent the track for a few days each year. Fastest car I have been in but it feels so stable and low to the ground it doesn't feel fast on the track even though it obviously is.

The ‘Busa was actually disappointing. Turbo ‘Busa drag bikes with street legal tires can routinely run the 1/4 mile in the 7’s. The cold, unprepped asphalt surface was the culprit. The ‘Busa also needs a swingarm extension.

I have a 1998 zx9r with 136whp and 9 inch extension that ran a 9.2 at santa pod and 9.4 on an A12 sliproad 🤣 you take the wheelies out so you can pin it from the start and you need something very very fast to keep up. Normal supercars wont cut it

This didn't make me think the Rimac was slow. This made me think Motogp bikes are WAY *WAY* faster than I thought. That is obscene. That poor busa just didn't have enough traction. Makes me think those ultrawide back tire meme-builds actually have a purpose. A car that easily crushing a busa is completely alien to me.
Funny thing this MotoGP bike was on low power map to avoid wheelspin struggling in crosswind wiggling wobbling etc

Dani Pedrosa's launch is bonkers. Every single time he races, he just smokes the launch and perfect gear change. It's flawless. Artistic to the core.

After 5 years of retirement, he managed to finish 4th place on Sprint and main race at Spanish GP wild card. So fantastic, he outclassed active younger riders on the grid😅

The top speed record is actually owned by a KTM with 366.1 kph, Brad Binder at Mugello this year, although he probably had a bike ahead of him for slipstream. But yeah, a Ducati probably would've beaten the RIMAC, at least in the rolling race.

I once owned a Turbo Hayabusa with 301hp/282Nm and the previous owner drove it for a quarter of a mile and got low 9-second times. As I recall, 9.2s.
The rear fork was extended a little (a few centimeters).
At least this driver in the video hadn't practiced very much.

Unbelievable! The MotoGP Bike vs. Rimac Nevera vs. Turbo Hayabusa drag race was a jaw-dropping spectacle. Witnessing these incredible machines go head-to-head was an adrenaline rush like no other. Simply electrifying!
