His finished area looks great, but if he worked the angles differently it's more efficient. You always want your over-spray blasting into unfinished area to "pre-blast" it. Some of the edges he hits he's only getting that small edge, but if he went from a different angle he would be getting the inside corner too. It requires more body movement I suppose, but you use less sand that way and should go quicker.
If you guys want to see more blasting videos maybe check my channel out mick blackley sandblaster I'm a fully mobile Sand blaster and trying my best with a gopro 😂

I remember doing these kind of job at my early age .... at a shipyard .... a very dengerous kind of job due to a very powerful air compressor being use and when the blasting nosel getting stuck ...
Hell he has no idea what hes doing in this vid no blast pattern besides chicken scratching fucked up hood and janky scaffold bet hes only making 9 an hour tops
michael mixon: meh, piss on him. that’s a nice sandblaster, I wish I had that equipment, but the guy running it probably isn’t getting paid much at all & why would he? I can think of about 10 jobs right now that anyone would hate worse than running a sandblaster... ...& yeah, that scaffolding is janky A.F; & it’s gonna cost that employer a lifetime of medical care & PD for an injured worker when it crashes out from under him.
Im still trying to figure wtf kind of hood that is i dont even see an air conditioner on the inlet plus hes chugging real bad turn that sand down about a full round...
Hydro blasting is garbage for big jobs like 300ft across oil tanks 60ft tall try walking a wind ring 50 ft in the air with all the bs you need and 40k psi pushing you id rather use a #7 running 3 and a whip off a 6 ton single action on a sullair 900
Great job but get a bigger nozzle when you doing big Metal to blast. Trust what I’m telling you , I’ve been sandblasting for Disney for 10 years and still doing it
Really inconsistent media delivery. At 0.07 seconds - that's about 2kg of material (copper slag by the look of it) that vomits out and doesn't do anything to the substrate. And most of the rest of the time you can see either too much or too little coming out. And as for the support he's standing on - well it's all been said before me. When you're blasting you have very little sense of your surroundings - the hood restricts your sight, there's media/dust everywhere, hoses all over - why on earth wouldn't you use a proper scaffold? If you fall there's a chance that blast hose is going to point towards you then you're in all sorts of pain.
I agree with you iv been doing it for 2 years now going on 3 that's what I use outside is copper coal and glass media the the helmet I use is old school so we have a air hose connect to a tube on the Helmet and I just wired tide the 2 together
Do you have an air conditioner for your hood? RPB makes nice ones that double as a heater. Although if you work in confined spaces like I do your head and neck stay cool and the rest is usually drenched lol
if you can afford to buy a blasting pot, compressor, and slag, surely you could afford to buy scaffolding and set up a walkway all round your work area , from the video, his pot is mixed with old and new slag, in places its not blasting cause its too fine..... plus pot is over full which is why it dumped out a lot at the start, air could not close the lift valve inside blasting pot, resulting in loss of excess slag
If the rumors are true....he’s still out there and has been there since the beginning of time.....I wonder what year he will finish in. My guess is 5050.
Sand blasting is for surface preperation it puts profile on the steel for your industrial coating to bond to. mind you im an actual professional been in sand blasting / marine and industrial coatings for 15 years. some of these comments from people smh they have no idea the importance of a good blast job
Legend has it, he's still there sandblasting
🤣🤣😜🇺🇸🇺🇸
OSHA approved scaffolding

Pay attention to the sand blasting, that's what you came here for

Yep diagonal always works, although seems like his sand is quite soft compared to what we use. But we also powder coat
yes, always work into your work, first thing i taught my son.
This is so satisfying :)
It would be if it was Dustless Blasting. :--)))))
Just as satisfying to watch as power washing
Your video is very informational and with good quality.

Yes I remember when my co workers call me masterblaster In Toronto Canada where I I work for a company in my early years.hard work.
that looks such a satisfying job i would love it!
Similar to pressure washing
It ain’t for the weak...👍🏼
absolutely amazing.
No kidding sounds like the sand is spitting and be flash rusted by time hes done hahah
what do you mean by sand is spitting?
Thats how mine sounds but obviously its working

Anyone know what brand of blasting equipment that is and what the air specs are?
Looks like he is using Black slag. Eco friendly crushed glass goes a little slower but very cost effective.

I love blasting, in FLA it's hot af though everyday day when I come out of my hood I look like I jumped in a pool and went swimming.

Blast about a foot and a few inches or so away at an angle. You get really patchy finish if you don't.
What kind of sand blaster is he using?
alat nya canggin pinpunya alat nya mantap
You can do big jobs like that much easier and more efficiently quicker with aluminum silicate.
Did the sendblaster get more salary?
That is low end pressure. Try industrial steel grit blast for Hempel paint
Shit yea run a shell machine or a pneumatic life gets so much easier fuck those garbage full electric machines though
I've done this before. It sucks. Dirty sweaty can't see. Oh it's fun for the first 3 mins.

Just wondering why a sandblasting tape is needed?
