As always thanks for watching much appreciated!
Hard doing for easy viewing :)
If you are a blaster and require help please drop me a message on here. PLEASE don't email or call asking advice on how to setup or operate your Rig. I need to prioritise my free time doing work calls, emails and quote enquiries. I will always try to respond to comments on my videos :)

It would kinda cool to see what happens to the machine after, see what the painter does with it. Just a thought
Yeah I would love to film the painting etc but my channel isn't large enough to take time off my job to film the after steps maybe 1 day 😏
I don't know why but at 3am with a screaming baby in arm, this is really relaxing to watch 😌 good skills too btw 👌
😎👌👍 I'm glad it's brung some carm in testing times 😁
People tend to forget the fuel prices really hurt businesses like yours too, be it running a van, compressor or even a chainsaw the fuel costs add up quick. Great video as always.
Thanks mate yeah and when they stop the low tax fuel just at an all time high don't make much sense to me.
Morning Mick thanks for your time and consideration top job 🚜🚜🚜🇬🇧 🍺🍺
😎👍 glad ya enjoying the efforts 👌
Sooooo satisfying to watch
Glad you enjoyed it 😊 makes putting the effort in more worthwhile reading comments like this thankyou
Brilliant stuff that really cleans them up like new.👍👍👍😎😎😎
Thanks appreciate it 👌😎
phenomenal video of showing the setup process
😊👍👌
WoW!!!! the compressor started first time and there is always something to try us!
😂 makes a change for it to go 1st turn 😂 yep no matter what day or job something will go wrong 😂
Nice drone intro! And did I see the compressor start on the first try!
😁 yeah my youtube money has finally built up enough to buy the drone 😁 2 year into video making 😂 next is battery banks and chargers possibly a big case to keep the kit safe 👌 and yeah you certainly did I think it's got something to do with the cold start thingy as its really warm hear at the moment no matter how long ya leave the glow plugs (well its not glows its a heater on the air intake that's why I think it takes a little to pull heat into the bores)👌😎
I need one of those to take the stickers off my fridge! 😂
😂
Great job with the industrial sandblasting I can tell that you are a industrial sandblaster and not just a commercial sandblaster because you are doing what they call White blasting which is industrial done my share of Painting and Sandblasting
I've got to admit it don't always get lucky and get white steel 😂😆
Love the hard work ..
Keep it up👍
New subscriber from Sweden😀
😁👌👍 welcome to the blast hood 😎
Long hot day, we’ve all been there 👍
'A just want to go home' hahaha
Great video Mick i have seen on your youtube channel blasted a few of this are these fun to blasting ? I know for fact for the people watching your video's its all entertainment and looks fun for them seeing you doing the blasting work and from in viewer perspective i have to admit it's pretty fun to watch see someone else work 🤣 but you and i know what life can be in that helmet 😂 but i have never done something like this before i have seen here and there a few things you blasting that i do too but mostly you blasting paint from metal or bricks i blast other things then you blast.
I really don't know how things work out but this company is possibly my oldest contract I kept 😎 some weeks they have loads done and sometimes I could go years without a visit. Its like some months I could do a full month in a certain area doing very similar work all for different customers then go years not doing that kind of work totally unsure how it works haha. I've gone nearly 2 year without doing seller's before that I had 1 a week easy 😂 I will take anything that pays the bills apart from gates and rails I dont like that sort of work haha
Hi ya mate great videos - if you can get the hitch unit off or pull out the ram part then we can try and straighten it for you on our 50 ton press. Don't want anything for it - just like to watch the videos. cheers
Thanks that's really appreciated 😊 to be honest I was going to tackle it today but after fitting some guttering and the sun coming out decided against doing anything but have a few tins 😂 tomorrow is another day though I was planning on trying to huck it up to my forklift and bend it back a little see if that works if not pulling the ram out and putting it in vice and trying to do something with a bar over the ram hopefully get it sorted tomorrow 😬
Those draw tubes from knot avonride aren’t a lot of money. I recall for my trailer around £65. There are different diameters so measure it first. Easy to replace too.
@@voxxag8054 👍 I will have a go at bending it back if that fails that don't sound too bad of a repair bill 👌 thanks for that 👍
@@Mobileblaster No worries bud, i bet the forklift idea will have enough power if you get the leverage at the right place . Hope you get it sorted😊
It is so satisfying to watch. But I can't understand how the operators/owners can let their expensive and relativly new equipment decay like that. Are they driven in a salt mine 24/7?
Well the good thing is they create job for Mick and nice videos for us to watch.
😎 glad you enjoyed it 👍 Not sure they all seam to get rusty fairly quick duno why
@@Mobileblaster the paint gets scratched and chipped as you work the machine. Park them for the weekend and monday they have rust. We have john deere machines that are a year old with rust like that. It is just how the construction business is. You work a machine it gets scars
@@holmes1956O 😎 yeah I believe the environment they work in and the driver isn't always the person that pays for the unit so often the reason they don't get the love a unit of this price should get. All works in my favour though 😂
@@Mobileblaster true story haha my hired diggers have frankly been abused, my now owned one is cleaned and even ruddy polished weekly 😄 jobs do take longer being careful though... 😉 😄
Awesome job man I'm a beginner
👌👍 wish you well mate 👍
hello sir what media are you using for this ? also whT compressor would you recommend for blasting cheers
Crushed glass and I would advise the biggest you can get hold of and afford to run as derv is a deciding factor 140/300cfm seam to be in the sweat spot area but I haven't had extensive experience with 300+ so wouldn't really know for sure I've used 400 and 600cfm both greedy on derv but totally depends on the finish required 👍
We use the same hood, much love from America
Best I've used apart from the hear peaces falling out it would be hard to improve on the quality 👍
Yeah like airpods are good as long as you put the hood on without too much sliding around and usually they stay in place, but to each their own I suppose.
@@AylerProductions I super glued mine in and it makes a world of difference. Just have to were a hood sock or hoodie to save getting them mucky 😬 as it would be impossible to get them out to wash them 😂
Oh nice, that's something I might try out, a head sock does work good though
White diesel 1000litre now 1.41 plus vat today. Bulk makes a difference to buying at pumps. Well worth it.
Last I checked it was 9p cheaper than the pump in my opinion its not worth having nearly 2ks worth of fuel at risk of theft 20p or more savings its worth the investment of bunded tank insurance etc to store. But to do things full legit the cost of tank inspection and rules needed to follow to be fully legit wouldn't work in my location as I haven't got a peace of land 10m away from a drain were I could put the bunded tank well safely away from view of the road
Big fine to do that outside in Sweden.
Why is that?
Always make sure to cover the hydraulic cylinders. If you get the sand on the cylinders will damage the inner seals and it will leak very bad. Don’t blast them . Cover them up well.
The dust scraper won't allow the media past and the chrome is alot harder than my media so I'm confident they are fine 👍👌
Здравствуй, коллега, тяжёлый это труд. Береги здоровье.
Thank you I will try my best 👌
You could mess with people and tell them you spray paint all heavy machinery gray and they'd probably believe it lol
😏
R'reet Mick, Nice job on the sandblasting 😎 Blimey! Filling up wi diesel these days is frightening, How long will that tank o diesel typically last you?
LOL Bloody drones! I bought one off Aliexpress to fly over the roof of our house to see how many broken roof tiles there were as we'd got a leak in the bedroom, I thought I'll try it out in the house first because it was windy outdoors, Only bloody flew it into the wall & broke it in under 10 seconds 😩😂Thanks for doing these videos mate.
That derv will be gone on that job 125L on 8 hours shift 😂 I need this drone to last a little longer than 3 x out it was £1150 I think but to be fair every bit of money youtube has made over 2 years of making videos has finally made enough for me to invest in the drone next year or so may be a 360 camera for even more stuff to brake 😄 🤣
Greetings from the US. I can't help but notice how small that fan seems to be, what size nozzle? My boss would be crying about production but that looks very controllable and you didn't even have to wrap the cab till you were quite close. I couldn't have even done the loader arms without the glass being in danger. we use number 7 and 8 nozzles over here and mostly medium/coarse coal slag media.
Hello and welcome to the blast hood 👌😊 Nozzle size needs to be paired with the air to achieve optimal psi. That's one of the reasons why I say these videos aren't a how to 👌👍 lots of ways to achieving the same goal 😎
You have to try out depending on how much air your compressor delivers.
@@kempaswe4022 yeah your right nosel size should be matched to the air delivery and desired psi loads of charts on the web to covert air flow to bore of nosel 👌👍
What’s the worst accident you’ve had happen blasting ? My hose has blown off in my hands. Was a wild day
😏 I fell off a loading shovel bucket and my 1st reaction was to put my hands down to cushion the fall well all I can say is I would have been better just falling and keeping hold of the pipe 😂 sat in Bath trying to pick bits of crushed up glass out of my leg wasn't nice I can still feel bits when I kneel down and that was about 15 year since.
I had the nozzle blow off of mine felt like I had fired a 50cal lol. The hose flew out of my hands and hit me in the middle of my back and oh boy that shit hurt.
I think I would have covered those chrome parts to prevent the seals from damage and oil messing up all the metal, paint etc.
They was fine 🙂 I've adapted my methods to minimise damage to wires pipes etc please note these videos don't show it all and make it look alot easier than it is 👍
Aren't you worried about the chrome on the cylinders or any of the wiring?
No because I've adapted my methods over the years👍 please note alot is happening that the videos don't show 👌
Are you allowed to use red diesel in the compressor??
No not anymore the law has changed 😔
I think you could bent back only with an hydraulic press😁
Oh I sorted it by hucking it up to my forklift and bent it back 😬 also slapped alot of grease init 👌 it seams fine 👌
What size nozzel you use on that and what size media ?
650 and medium crushed glass 👍
Ha dude they make a gas compressor Vanair cost me 20 bucks to feel it up runs all day on a tank sets in back of my truck 70 C f m 💯 constant pressure it’s a good investment 👍
70cfm will only take a little fuel more power more juice 😬
What camera do you use inside your helmet and how do you rig it Mick?
I use gopro hero 9 and 10 but I wouldn't recommend them the battery issue is a real struggle if its below 10° they simply don't work
@@Mobileblaster too late I already have two gopro 9’s 😁 have you tried the new enduro batteries, they are better in the cold. I also use a battery bank plugged into the gopro if Im filming for longer periods. But yeah in the cold all batteries suffer to a degree. So how do you secure the gopro inside your helmet visorI also have a nova 3 and it looks like your camera is inside the visor, didnt think there was enough space inside it to mount a gopro? Do you perhaps just use a head mount if theres the space or something else?
Hi mate, on what pressure you're operating?
125psi @ 260cfm on this job
What size nozzle you using
That's determined with the cfm and psi of the compressor I think mine was 9mm but that's from 260cfm at 100psi and taking helmet pipe drop in to account
Watched quite a few of your videos, seems to indicate that most of these big machinery bussinesses don't look after their hear and get you in for a last clean up and a quick cheap lick of paint to throw it on second handarket
No mostly this company have them cleaned up to send them back out on hire they only need to look good for the lowloader when they turn up on site 😉

Do you have to do it over again if it starts raining?
yeah and the UK weather is so unpredictable so as you can imagine I've had this happen more than once haha
@@Mobileblaster That sucks. Great job btw.
@@myaccountishacked6417 it doesn't happen often but when it does its something that sticks in ya head haha
Hey, do you have a website or supplier for the system/equipment you use? It looks the business! I’m currently in charge of a small project to restore a WW2 hangar in the U.K. which has terrible rust scale and weathering on its steelwork. one option is to have it sand blasted but, I’m sure you can appreciate a 26,000ft building is pricey to hire someone and we can’t seem to find any systems online that aren’t hobbyists pressure vessel sand blasters. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
If you haven't done this type of work before it's more than likely the waste costs your likely to incur would cover the cost of a professional. I would be looking at getting a quote from professionals then size up time / waste / quality and look at it that way as doing something yourself is all good but don't always mean cheaper. If you still want some gear I would buy 2nd hand use it to complete the job then sell it only problem with that if you have no experience you won't know if it's the equipment at fault or lack of experience.
no gloves? hot damn!
No pain no gain 😆 to be fair it wasn't cold 😂 no seriously it's not advised to do blasting without gloves but I know the risks involved and except all liability for my own safety 👍
Nedd a blaster & qualified Mick. Call me.
Whats your location please?
Nice vídeo! How much bars do you use?
Thankyou Bar as in psi?
@@Mobileblaster can be in psi, in portugal we use it in bar
@@Mobileblaster how many PSI do you use?
@@emanuelsilva793 8bar 125psi on the hopes of getting 100psi at the nozzle 👍
@@Mobileblaster and what is the size of the nozzle?
nice job. But,where is a glove to protect your hand.
Good spot its advised to use them 👌 I would say its down to operator preference as I do use gloves when I feel they are needed and I was happy to continue without on this job 👍
Cheep diesel in gb. Here in Sweden its about 2,4€/litre
We just had a price drop too £1.78 converting pound to euro its about £1=€1.11? So around the same? By the sounds of things US is the cheapest place for fuel.
Do you use Red low tax derv for off road stuff? That's all stopped for us 🙁
@@Mobileblaster here you can only use the red in big machines and farm equipment
@@kempaswe4022 Yeah that was the same over hear untill 1st April now everything that's for business use even if its off road we have to use white 😳 greedy government
And yes people just in case you do not know there is a difference between industrial sandblasting and Commercial sandblasting
I offer all blasting services from domestic to anything really 😎👌👍
Have you had to put your prices up
Unfortunately it goes against the grain but yeah I've had to cover the cost of derv also media had gone up as a result of the red derv stopping I did a video about how it's going to affect me but luckily I think I've weathered the storm as such and busness as usual 😎
You could get a job with China airways, or Airflot they have a similar safety problem
😳😏😂 a little 'wong' that 😏

into the waste area that's maintained by the company I'm working for 👍
Why No gloves Mick?
It wasn't cold pal 👍 not saying it's the right way to do things but it's how I do things 👌 it's not big it's not clever and I would give any lads a telling off if they was working for me if they carry on I can only say what the rules are if they chose to skip the advice and any injury should come of it then they have no one to blame/clame off. I know the risks and fully understand them and take all the responsibility if I hurt myself 👍
Can’t see why this needed a bear metal blasting 🤔
It was in for a repaint and it's the fastest way to get a perfect finish ready for paint 👍
Short sleeves and no gloves. ?
5:06
Yeah it was warm that day 👌😎
so 188 pounds of assuming it was Diesel Fuel or was it Petrol Fuel. but 188 Pounds would be $226 USD and 100 liters would be 25 Gallons US.
in USA the 100 liters/ 25 gallons of Reguler Petrol/Gas would be at the cheapest $87.25 USD or $72.45 Pounds.
but if its Diesel Fuel same 100 liters/ 25 gallons. at the Cheapest Price would be $113 USD or $93.84 Pounds.
So I can say Your Fuel/Petrol Prices are High still.
Yeah its diesel and we have been hit with a massive price hike because we was allowed to use low tax rate diesel(Red derv off road use only) before 1st of April. Before this time it was 60p per Litre and regular diesel (road derv) was £1.60 then it hit a all time high of £2 per Litre. Now it's law we have to use regular derv in off road engines etc what pisses me off to this day nothing has been said in the media because they know the would be up raw the government is very smart at controlling the media
@@Mobileblaster well Hopefully soon it gets better.
@@ChakatNightspark just have to suck it up and get on with it haha
Why blast that thing out in the middle of nowhere?
Because the noise and dust wouldn't be nice to work along side this company have 20 or 30 fitters doing their daily work put me out of the way they can continue to work 👌👍
@@Mobileblaster
Thanks. I only had the idea, that it would be practical doing it in the vicinity of a paint shop - or even better in a paint shop. As is, it will contaminate the pristine surfaces on the way there.
Just my train of thought. ☺
People tend to forget the fuel prices really hurt businesses like yours
With the flux in price of fuel can eat into any sort of profits. All I can do is pass it on to the customer 😮💨
SO how does a guy buy a machine and tools like this and not spend 30k to get started??????????????????????????????????
Buy 2nd hand 🤔 depending on what workload you want to do 30k isn't going to get you far best off getting some training 1st see if you like it as I can honestly say these videos make it look alot easier than it is 👍
@@Mobileblaster i think you make this look a lot easier than it is, ime not looking for easy. what would me min cfm and psi for getting started?
That would depend on the workload you plan on taking on 100psi is optimal cfm is how much flow you require bit like jet washing a DIY 6lpm vs a professional 35lpm but each has a very radical price point 👍 how much money you got to spend and I will advise what your looking at
