I hope, that in time, a suitable capture system will be developed to trap sand blasting debris and either recycle it or properly dispose of it.
Yeah would be nice to know all the waste gets recycled again. But unfortunately it would mean building a blast booth every where jobs need doing and that wouldn't be feasible. Not enough haha the US guys (the green company) that sells ready made trailers mention numbers that quite frankly a doctor or other professional would struggle to achieve. In England wages are comparable to other trades 👍 the harder you work the more you get I suppose 😉
Depends if you're working for someone legitimate like the man you are watching in this video or a guy who cuts every corner imaginable and second guesses every obvious suggestion you make thus setting you back even further behind than square one for example trying to apply multiple coats of chemical paint on something (that just took an entire day to blast because he makes you keep reusing the same grit that by this point is like flour and blunt and useless) then leaves it out to dry in the pouring rain all weekend with wet coats all layered on with no drying time thus giving you the pleasure of having to scrape the ENTIRE THING by hand cos it's too sticky now to blast with what is essentially icing sugar all the while you're being criticised about "your" mistake then once all is said and done your calls get ignored and you'll just have to go sell your ps4 instead cos who needs to get paid anyway right?😅😂

Some health and safety or pat testing drone must be having kittens every time you twist and untwist those trigger wires to start and stop. Love it- do what works, “fix” it when it really needs fixing (and you have the time!)

This should be done in a building designed for Media Blasting My issue being the paint and 3M Reflectotape are being released into atmosphere . Not Right.
Paint is water based and biodegradable media used is none toxic and the tape takes way too long to remove manually by hand eva way out side or in side the tape will eventually end up in a land fill 😕 repair rather than replace will keep this truck in operation for another good service. 👍
😊 your right it was a pain and to find a trigger that's reasonable price in the UK was impossible I ended up getting 1 from half the way round the world and it's still worked out better deal👍
@@Mobileblaster I find it very hard to believe that this truck was originally painted in waterbased, biodegradable non-tox paint, and that all the reflective strips were biodegradable and glued on with a waterbased, biodegradable, nontoxic glue....I would imagine it to be something like an acrylic polyurethane enamel or like, which is only slightly less toxic than "industry standard" paints and still considered the main reason for asthma and allergies.... but hey thats just me..... being a painter who worked in the truckindustry for decades.... but I could be wrong...I may have worked the only place where biodegradable, waterbased, non-toxic paint and glues were not used....
@dockingtroll6801 You may only purchase non-compliant 2K products if you intend to use them for industrial or agricultural uses and not for automotive purposes as this is now illegal. Since 2007 but you would know this working in this industry? So I'm fairly sure it was water based as I was the 1 to order the paint and 25 of these was ordered from Thompson body's without paint. We're would you imagine the stickers would end up of I spent alot of time pulling them off and putting them in the bin? Landfill so what's the difference hitting this land or aa council run landfill? It's still better to repair than replace for everyone involved including the environment well apart from the guys who build new trucks
@@Mobileblaster Thx for setting me right and making it clear. I am glad it has been taking care of now, and yes I have been away for a while since I am now retired, so the question was genuine enough. Thx for youyr vids and for taken the time to explain.. Good man ;-)
@dockingtroll6801 not a problem 👍 everyone has an opinion and I will listen to everyone's. Some people only see the negative side but asking questions is what its all about. A lot is going off in these videos that aren't shown hence why I never say they are a how too because simple stuff to me that's a must that I do off camera is hard to explain or simply boring like every job gets its own risk assessment and method statement data sheets also daily safety checks air monitoring and quality even regular psi checks. All this is what I prefer to keep to myself as I still need to be 1 step in front of my closest competitors 😏
These normally take 5 to 6 hour with 260cfm last 1 tuck 10 hour with 90cfm this was 3 hours with 425cfm the costs of operating are hugely different so don't always thing bigger is better a 3 hour job could cost me more than a 6 hour job 🫣
@@Mobileblaster ofc how more CFM how faster you are able to do bigger jobs and like you said the down side is probably you use more diesel maybe a bit more blast media idk how much more you using then if did in 6hours with less CFM but at the other you much quicker done with your work so working wise it more efficient
Anything that's cheap usually crushed glass this will depend on location because Australian garnet is cheap their but mega expensive hear in the UK haha Anything that will cut through the paint and rust usually leaves a nice profile for paint 👍
Aprox 15 years to master the equipment then 15k compressor 17k van 25k other equipment forklift blast pot ya could say another 10k in pipes nosels cuppings 25k a year unit rent then the derv and media as consumables oh and not to mention insurances and services road tax then the office equipment needed to build and maintenance of the website wages for accounts and invoices I'm sure I will have missed something off as with any business small consumables are soaked up with other bills (such as helmet visors etc etc) 😉👌
Depending on the work load you plan on doing at what rate of speed or if you want new or 2nd hand will determine all of that 👍 you could be setup blasting for a couple of grand but to do it right your looking at alot of money forklift compressor storage unit truck insurances training blaster etc etc

👌👍 appreciate your feedback but when I leave the music out the videos get too much for even me to listen to and I'm kinda a custom to that noise haha👍👌
Some health and safety or pat testing drone must be having kittens every time you twist and untwist those trigger wires to start and stop. Love it- do what works, “fix” it when it really needs fixing (and you have the time!)
It's fixed now but I still have a backlog of videos that need making that's why it seams like a long time without a switch in reality its been about 5 to 8 working days 😎 some jobs I post in the playlist that's named unlisted content to see more stuff I blast that don't make the full channel 👌👍
Did the sendblaster get more salary?
Depends what your comparing it 🤔
This should be done in a building designed for Media Blasting My issue being the paint and 3M Reflectotape are being released into atmosphere . Not Right.
Paint is water based and biodegradable media used is none toxic and the tape takes way too long to remove manually by hand eva way out side or in side the tape will eventually end up in a land fill 😕 repair rather than replace will keep this truck in operation for another good service. 👍
That’s rather a unique deadman......
😏 only the best is good enough 😂
are you blasting with sand of metal?.
Crushed glass 👍
Must be a pain without a proper trigger switch.
😊 your right it was a pain and to find a trigger that's reasonable price in the UK was impossible I ended up getting 1 from half the way round the world and it's still worked out better deal👍
What happened to all the stripped of paint? You just leaving it on the ground?
Yes it's water-based and biodegradable none toxic also the media used is recycled and a waste product that's silliac free and none toxic.
Nice job 👍🏾 Mick how many hours did you toke to complete this job ?
These normally take 5 to 6 hour with 260cfm last 1 tuck 10 hour with 90cfm this was 3 hours with 425cfm the costs of operating are hugely different so don't always thing bigger is better a 3 hour job could cost me more than a 6 hour job 🫣
@@Mobileblaster ofc how more CFM how faster you are able to do bigger jobs and like you said the down side is probably you use more diesel maybe a bit more blast media idk how much more you using then if did in 6hours with less CFM but at the other you much quicker done with your work so working wise it more efficient
@Mhn-sz6yp yeah but it could be false economy because it cost more to work 🫣
What kind of abrasive do you use for sandblasting the truck bed?
Anything that's cheap usually crushed glass this will depend on location because Australian garnet is cheap their but mega expensive hear in the UK haha Anything that will cut through the paint and rust usually leaves a nice profile for paint 👍
@@Mobileblaster
I understand glass dust so yes other abrasives are expensive I want to do this job in Turkey but lately very expensive machinery and equipment
@@onurictas517 it's not lately mate it's always been expensive 😂
@@Mobileblaster
What type of dead man are you using?
😂 none I'm just turning the wires together 😬
wish your final product was more neat and tidy with no visible paint left so that the visible edges and crevises are crisp!
Serface preparation is perfect for paint exceeding SA2.5 that's required for paint 👍
🚛
😊
good work mee sam work Dubai
😊👌👍
How machine remov the pants and the rust??????
Compressed air pumps media in this case crushed glass and abrasively removes unwanted finishings 👍
Cuanto dinero cobras por éste gran trabajo que haces.....
Not nearly as much as some people may think. 😏👍
Hello, in which country do you do this?
England mate 🏴
@@Mobileblaster I sent you e-mail.
Wouldn't want my new tesla near this place 😅
😬🫡👍
How much could a wire nut cost in your country? $0.15? $0.25?
Or just wire it to a little push button switch
@@Patriot0331 Now you're talking big-money lol
Haha 300£ (400/500$?) for the switch in the UK hence why its on order from over seas just takes a little while for delivery 👍
Пора бы уже какую-то кнопку установить на сопло, ну сколько ты ещё будешь провода скручивать?)))
It's on order 🫡👌👍
how much does such a job cost you?
Aprox 15 years to master the equipment then 15k compressor 17k van 25k other equipment forklift blast pot ya could say another 10k in pipes nosels cuppings 25k a year unit rent then the derv and media as consumables oh and not to mention insurances and services road tax then the office equipment needed to build and maintenance of the website wages for accounts and invoices I'm sure I will have missed something off as with any business small consumables are soaked up with other bills (such as helmet visors etc etc) 😉👌
Well ! I had a Blast😂
😊👍
Hi mate just found your videos I blast tipper bodies myself
😊👍👌🫡
How much equipment cost to start business ?
Depending on the work load you plan on doing at what rate of speed or if you want new or 2nd hand will determine all of that 👍 you could be setup blasting for a couple of grand but to do it right your looking at alot of money forklift compressor storage unit truck insurances training blaster etc etc
Tarn lads doin it rheyt agean old koker

Sandblasting is my dream job, but due to health issues it looks like im unable to do it 😢
It can be done on any level this is industrial scale but blast cabinets will be more manageable?
@@Mobileblaster i just wanted to know what type of material you use ?
@@CEA1 crushed glass and iron silicate 👍
@@Mobileblaster So the crushed glass & iroc silicate mix with environment (air) or they settle down in soil ? just wanted to know if it is safe. Those cabin sandblaster looks safe 😌
@CEA1 yeah the products I use are recycled and a waste product none toxic and biodegradable 👍
Satisfying
😊👌👍
Кнопку когда сделаешь?
😂 it's on order shipped from over seas we cannot get this type in the UK and it looks to be a good one 👌👍

Btw if you are interested in a experience exchange feel free to ask
Oh cool please feel free to drop some tips or if you notice something I could be doing better please do so I'm more than happy to make my day easier or faster 😊
rust removal lazers work a lot better
And how much experience do you have with either? Because from my experience I have I can say categorically that any commercial lazer cannot do this type of work. Speed efficiency and quality of the finish a laser cannot win in any category. At this moment in time
Where is paint?
Sorry what?
