I'm swatching for the SABAI top today in Regia Premium Merino Yak. I never thought I'd become a shawl knitter, but now I'm completely addicted. Isabell Kraemer is my favourite shawl designer.

Isager Bomulin has a nice plum colorway that would be a good companion (Linen/Cotton blend). Additionally, Sunday Fiber Co Fielding base would also be good to check out, but I'm not sure she has any in stock right now. Additionally, Pasley Knits is having a restock of summer fibers this Friday the 19th at 5pm PST. They're both gorgeous hand-dyers.
Quince & co sparrow is a 100% organic linen that has a lighter green (milkweed).
I am currently knitting a big project (born in the beach dress) it in a different color with 2.75mm shortie chiaogoo needles and don't find it hard on my hands. That being said my hands r strong!
If you’re looking for another yarn to try that’s similar to Sandnes Line, Drops Belle is the same yarn composition again and has a great colour range 😊 I’ve not tried Line before so can’t fully compare but the composition percentages are exactly the same.

Lana Gatto Vip is my top favorite yarn. They also have lovely charcoal, red poppy and walnut brown. For silk, Setapura LanaGrossa.
That brick red linen and cotton yarn is going to look gorgeous in you. Your esthetic on pattern choices really speaks to me Thank you Diane

Possible mohairs to go with your clay/pinkie/red yarn Sandes garn tynn silk in powder pink (3511), Isager silk mohair#28 or 69 or knitting for olive plum rose. One of those might closer to what your looking for vs the the more orange leaning colour you currently have. Looking forward to seeing how all your plans progress.
I recently made a Sabai top. Very nice pattern. I also love many of her other patterns.

Lovely patterns and nice to see less familiar designers. The Sophie is on my list aswell, and I'm making it as part of a matching set with a skirt. I'm making it in light grey (lamana como 42 and drops kid silk moonshine) but could imagine it would look lovely on you in a sage green, a sand color, taupe or a navy blue? Love, Jessica

Hey there, I just finished swatching for the Marigold Tee when I was watching your podcast when it came out. I have since finished the first sleeve and am about to add stitches for the body. Mine is turning out just the way I hoped it would, can’t wait to see yours if you decide to make one ❤

Thanks for the reminder. The Farnham tee is next on my needles. I'm using Sandnes Garn Line in a bright lime green (in stash) with navy blue as the contrast. Can't wait to get started after a stop in my LYS (Wool Done in Bologna) which is a 6 hour bus/train ride away!

Isager has a silk mohair that mabye goes with your yarn for the ppopo jacket😊

I have the marigold tee in my favorites but I am hesitant to knit it since its knit side to side. I prefer knitting top down so I can try it on as I go given my bust size and long torso.
Hadn't yet considered the try-on factor. That will definitely be tricky. Guess for the length you could hold it up to the top of your shoulder and make sure the cast on reaches to the correct spot on your body?

I'm thinking of knitting the Marigold tee in Mark och Kattens Linen. I've made another tee in it and live it for summer. I'm currently swatching for yet another tee in the color party which might be a purple you like. It's a real purple although it looks more pink in most pictures on webshops I've found.
I've never come across this yarn before so will check it out 👀
Hi! I love your choices. I’m living in Canada. The marigold tee is knitter side to side and is very fun to make. For the purple color you are looking for, maybe Antigone by Dererum Natura. 100% Linen, light sport weight.

Lana Gatto Fresh is a 100 % linen fingering weight yarn (although its meterage says 163m/50g it is listed as fingering). It has at least marled pink, lilac and light grey but not sure if they are something that you like. Isager could have nice muted light purples in Trio 1 & 2 which are linen blends, but they are light fingering (350m/50g) & sport weight.

Great selection of summer knits. I was thinking Kinross 4ply (which is like Cashmere when blocked) in the colour Otter held with Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair in either Dark Moose, Dusty Moose or Hazel would be lovely for the Sophie Sweater.☺

i am thinking of the filcolana merci for fingering weight yarn, its a wool and pima cotton blend and has quite a number of purples

Beautiful episode, Sheri. Love your selection of patterns and of course its always helpful to find new patterns besides petite knit and MFTK. I wonder if the sofie sweater could be modified into a wrap cardigan, i would love to knit this!
I'm sure it could! You could also consider making a pattern like this new one from Calibri by Johanna www.kolibri-by-johanna.de/product-page/opskrift-camille-wrap-cardigan or doing a combination of the two. That one is also on my list for Fall
I knit the Sofie and it would be very easy to keep open as a cardigan
Lamana Premia is pure Lux ... by far the softest mohair I've used . I'm certain you'll be just as happy knitting your next project with it, as I have (many in fact 😊).

You might want to check Sandnes Garn Tynn Line to go with Lithuanian linen. They don't have a very wide palette, but who knows, maybe you can find what you are looking for :)
Great selection - for the Ppoppo cardigan, take a look at Filcolana Tilia.They might have a couple of color options for you

I knit the Sofie Sweater in the Lamana Como (same dark brown colour as the sample) held with KFO mohair in plum clay. The Como is really nice and light. Unfortunately one of my front edges was a little tighter so I couldn't knit the front pieces together for the bottom hem as per pattern. It bunched up and didn't look good. I was also playing yarn chicken with no way to get more of the como without spending a ton of money. I changed the hem and it ended up fine but definitely pay attention to keep a lot of stretch in the front edges! For me it was the left side (that goes behind) that was a bit too tight.
For the Ppoppo jacket the Tilia 361 or the Isager 609 could be good!
Sabai top is also on my to do list 😊
That's a shame about the Sofie sweater. I'll need to be careful about that!
Perfect recommendations for the mohair for the ppoppo. I am thinking the Isager as it's a bit on the darker side.
Wonderful podcast. Thank you. I am curious to see how you feel about the SABAI top #2. I am finishing mine right now and am quite disappointed with how the unfinished neckline is rolling. I haven't blocked it yet so am hoping it will block out better. I looked at the project pages of other knitters and it seems like others have had the same experience. I am knitting it in cascade dk weight cotton so a yarn with more drape better. Looking forward to seeing yours. Perhaps you will have some suggestions.
Good to know ahead of knitting it. Hopefully the neckline won't role too much but I'll keep you posted as I'm knitting it up.
For your wrap sweater, how about a ballerina pale pink
For the purple yarn have you tried looking at Holst? Their colors are so pretty and I absolutely love the yarns!
