Not sure who needs to know this, but unfortunately taking shells from beaches isn’t like it used to be. Hermit crabs are losing their natural homes due to the excessive amount of people collecting shells. There have been tons of videos about hermit crabs using trash like Bottle caps or various plastic items as homes. Taking a few shells should be fine though. Hope this is helpful..! :)
Still working on my cumulus tee, which is taking forever 😅 My favourite yarnstore is Kolchis in Alkmaar (The Netherlands). It is a yarnstore with only very local (40 km) en relatively local (+/- 1000 km) yarns, all died with respect for the earth and without chemicals. I love it and the owner is so kind and helpful. And in Amsterdam I like Stephen & Penelope ❤

Love this area! Vega Knits is the most fabulous store! I was there twice last year and also got some of that beautiful cotton, it is so unusual. Enjoy your knitting!

I've just picked up the i cord edge stitches of my kumulus tee o neck and need to finish arms on 2 sweaters for my daughter, one 3 mm the other 5mm. Then I'll knit her the unicorn sweater, perhaps also an option for the little shrimp in your family. I think its calles always and forever unicorn sweater or something.
I buy yarn online mostly and don't have preferences but I like a few Berlin yarn shops. One in wedding the other in Charlottenburg.

How long does it take you to knit all these beautiful things? I'm a very new knitter. I started in January and there is no way I can knit these out as fast as everyone seems to. I have nothing but time but not knowledge. I'm working on a second top, same one of Rosehiplanknits, her summer festival top. And a sweater for my husband from ESNQ knits the mellow sweater for him and waiting on yarn for the mellow top for her. I did make her cardigan as my first garment to wear ever. 😊
Don't worry, you'll get faster! It's hard to imagine how, but you will :) You'll knit faster, you'll understand patterns quicker, you will have tried many techniques and will have become accustomed to them. And you'll be able to knit while doing other things such as watching tv, commuting etc. I do most my knitting while on the tube, hanging out with my family, and resting.
I’m working on my twisted rib tank again after first running out of yarn and misreading the pattern. How many things I end up knitting twice still astounds me.
