Bro I just got one and placed it on my living room end table, definitely worth the money, I believe I paid 39 or 49 but well worth it. Quality image plus the 360 view and night view work really well.

I got one two had it for a few weeks now as well, as you said quality pic and night vision is crisp, try the motion detection setting, it's dope, thing will literally scan you and follow you.

You can't save videos without the subscription. The photos are saved.
Does the 2 pack only have one scan code to use for both cameras?
wow i think these are on sale now for Black Friday at Walmart 2023. Super cool. when you said hello when testing the mic was that you saying hellow back very spooky. good video and yeah if you used the camera to just point outside of your window so you capture outside from inside

You shouldn't have to set it up again.
I made the mistake of thinking the Roku Smart Home cameras were just a rebranded Wyze Cam V3 and Pan 360. Once the Free 14 day Roku Smart Home subscription ends, unlike the Wyze Cam, you cannot access your video event recordings on the camera's Micro SD with the Roku Smart Home App. SD has to be ejected from camera and video has to be retrieved with a computer. That is very disappointing and had I known I would have purchased the Wyze Cam V3 instead of the three Roku cameras I bought and installed. Roku should revise the Roku Smart Home App with an update to the firmware or at least lower the subscription cost.

Great in depth video on the Roku cams! The only other thing I could ask for was to see how the notification system works on the Roku TV itself while you’re watching regular content. I believe it’s suppose to alert with a screenshot of the live video in the corner of the TV that you can then click on the remote to bring up the full screen video? Very in depth and informative in every other respect.
Yeah I thought it was supposed to do this too. When I went to test it out I didn't see any notifications on my TV. Maybe that feature hasn't been released yet. Thanks for the kind comment and for watching!

Considering these cameras are identical to Wyze, they are crap. I swapped most of my Wyze over to these so I could view them on my ROKU TV, yet I had an emergency today and found out they do not have any playback from continuous recording like the Wyze ones. So I am going to return all my Roku cameras. I was told by an anonymous employee they killed the playback option to force subscription use for faster event recording.
Either, WYZE is working with Roku or they just got ripped off?
Yes these are Wyze white label products branded and integrated with Roku.

Not 100% sure all the time, but you might have to format it if there's other data on the card already.

I've only tested on the same wifi network but they might work on separate ones. You log into your Roku account with both cameras. So maybe it would work.

Distinctly unimpressed by the SD card integration. You can't review the footage from within the camera app (unlike Wyze), and it doesn't let you review events unless you pay for the subscription. The whole thing comes off as a bit of a brick unless you pay for the subscription.

The one thing I don’t understand is that the Wyze Cam v3 (the Indoor Cam SE, or whatever it is) is indoor and outdoor. But the Roku version, it’s indoor only?

I don't own a Roku TV. I used the Roku Smart Soundbar.
I like what they are doing with their cameras and the ability to function on the TV as well.. that is HUGE.. I had RING forever, and have always wanted my RING cameras to be viewable on my TV.. however, it was never possible. But I don't think I can buy into the ROKU cameras yet, their quality lacks big time compared to others. Too glitchy, choppy, etc. Came out in 2022.. and their camera feeds look like they were made in 2002.. quality is just not there yet.
It'll be interesting to see when if ever they upgrade these devices. They usually enhance their streaming products yearly, but who knows about their Smart Home products.

Roku cameras really aren’t worth it, not when there’s much better cameras out there with better software and even some with actual RTSP capabilities.

Are these supposed to get hot? I’m afraid to leave it unattended…..I don’t want a fire.
I have two Cameras. One for outdoor and one for my room. The one outside is weather proof. And its really great. It even performed well in heavy rainfall.
The one inside my room is 360. Doesnt not heat up and dont really have any kind of problems like that.
But Im here because it has stopped sending me notifications. 😬

The ONLY thing I care about is being able to use these WITHOUT internet just like the Wyze Cams and have them record locally onto MicroSD cards. I do not believe in Paying for Security Cameras storage in a cloud...that is utterly stupid and its snake oil.... I prefer having my own server for stuff like that. It would really suck if I can't do this. I am mostly interested in the outdoor version that has a battery that lasts 6 months... Ideal for RV's and Campervans.... I hope Roku understand the Massive Opportunities here if done right. Also I hope the Roku Home App works on older devices like the Roku 3 and Roku Streaming sticks of that generation. I am NOT buying another freakin Roku just for this. However I will buy More Rokus and More cameras to put EVERYWHERE if the above I mentioned works on older Roku's.

What's the biggest SD card can you put in there?
All Roku Smart Home cameras support micro SD cards up to a 256GB except for the Outdoor Camera SE. This camera along with its base station are limited to cards ranging from 8GB to 32GB

Does the tv app notify you if there’s motion while watching live tv? Like a pop up Picture in Picture.
It's supposed to but at the time of this video that feature wasn't working.

How can you cancel free trial before it renews
It lists subscriptions within the app. So just cancel in there.

Yeah I get not wanting to be charged. Maybe it's not listed there since it's a trial but not sure. I'd ask Roku. Also your subscription info might be listed on Roku's website. So double check there as well.

I bought this camera because I bought another one from Yi home and my neighbors hacked it let's hope this one can't be hacked because somebody broke into my place and stole my $1,000 drone and other items so in your opinion do you think this camera can be hacked really easy because I'm sick and tired of working my butt off for a living and took my drunky neighbors getting everything handed to them they don't work they live off welfare and is there any way you could put a password on it so no one can watch your camera until you put the password in

I have a google home wifi hub I can’t get my camera too connect it says it needs a 2.4 connect maybe I’m not putting the name in right

I changed my wifi password and now it won’t connect and it doesn’t flash red no more when I try and reset the camera as a new device it only flashes blue

Make sure you use the same Roku login for your app and Roku device. Download the app on your Roku device and it's setup with your cameras.

I'm mad that the free trial starts on initial set up. I was just testing the camera to see if it works for when I move but now I'm wasting a free trial.
Yeah i agree it's super annoying that it just starts when you activate the camera.
Sadly that is an issue with many cloud reliant cameras. It was really annoying when I got an Arlo camera. Ideally I would like manual control, especially if you want a camera for some basic usage ( notifications and live view) and then when the occasion arises, activate the trial for some recording.
As a current WYZE owner, these look like exact rebadges OEM's from Wyze?
Hardware is Wyze but software is Roku. So they only with Roku mobile app and Roku TV.

Just fyi Wyze are NOT OEMs. They are OBMs.
The actual OEM is Xiaomi. Wyze does not make any of their own products. They never have and likely never will.
I spent 2 hours with a defective product that didn't work... I ended up finding it on UA-cam and following along... but it didn't come to a conclusion.

Similar but it works with Roku. Wyze does not.
Definitely not the pro from Wyze . The Pro has the built-in spotlight and resolution. This looks like a clone of the regular V3.

These aren't roku products... They are just wyze cams rebranded. I've been a supporter of wyze since 2017 and I am shocked. The whole process down to the voice on the camera is the same... What loop hole did they find where they can do this
The difference is these products work with Roku while Wyze products are not compatible with Roku.

Where are you trying to create a Roku account? Try to create one on their website instead of the Roku Smart Home app.

Personally, I found this review unhelpful. Combining the two products confuses the overall experience. Throughout the review, you never showed the videos in “Landscape” (or if you did, it was not demonstrated). As well, you failed to explain what the 15 day trial was...???
I’m left with more questions than when first pressing the play button.
At least I know what questions I want answers to when searching for the next review 🤷🏻♂️
The experience is basically the same across both cameras. It was good to compare the two video qualities.
At the time the 15 days did not lapse. What do you think happens at the end of a trial? You get charged. You can cancel before you get charged in the Subscriptions tab.
