Hey Tim, thanks for this series, I am going to build one for my self. I wish I had kept the surface grinder I had, wish in one hand and poop in the other I guess. Anyway thanks I do enjoy and that comes from a machinist with over 50 years of doing it.

Brilliant video technique, many you-tubers could learn a lot from watching your presentations. No need to watch every repetitive action in real time, and the voice over is better than recording machine noise etc. 🇦🇺🛠🔭🎹🔬👍

some people say fake it till you make it, hard workers say can't get it you make it. I rebuilt transmissions for my dad for a few summers when I was a teen, made half my tools from remodeling other old or wore out one's. keep up the great work

I've worked in several cnc shops and might I suggest that you add a coolent tank and pump once the main build is completely done so that you don't ruin the temper of what ever your grinding

Hey Tim, love those linear carriages,, how will you be setting up the height adjust on the surface grinder??,, very interested to see this thing run and how flat it will grind,, will you be checking out the trueness with a dial indicator?? i dont mean to overwhelm you with questions but i am going to be building one myself this year and seeing as i am a subscriber and avid follower of your channel, any tidbit of technical info would be great,, so far so good.
