  • We hooked up the DJI Pocket 2 via a clip mount and brought you on along for the ride on our errands!
Part 2 covers us buying some antique African pieces that we will up-cycle with the help of a blacksmith and upload to our shop as interior styling pieces in the next few weeks.
We also stopped off at one of our favourite haunts Chez Bismillah (Instagram: @chez_bizmillah - Address: 193 Souk El kebir) as they had invited us to attend to try their homemade cuscus which is served once a week.
We bought more antique pieces and then had our arms twisted buy a shop keeper who had seen our buys into visiting his shop. We didn't want to and we were quite clear about that, but he persisted and due to his humour I reluctantly gave in.
After the mentally exhausting task of trying to look interested whilst also remaining respectful and diplomatic, one we managed to slip away from the 3 generations of shop keepers, we needed a little pit stop back at the hotel!
Again... I didn't actually realise how good the microphone was on the DJI, so you’ll hear broken conversations between myself and Gareth, one thing I've realised watching the clips back, is that I don't finish half of my sentences! After 18 years together, we pretty much know what the other person is saying / thinking anyway so we can conserve the energy lol
Like - Follow & Subscribe for part 3 will come in the next few days!
Part 3 shows us meeting up with several suppliers we have used before, we order some wooden trays and then buy some leather wares before stopping for another coffee! We also take you to one of our favourite non touristy restaurants from previous visits (which wasn't actually that great this time round) and then we take a small tour of Jemaa El Fan at night.

Any chance you can give some idea where to find these shops? They look really interesting, and assuming will be hard to locate in the souks

To be fair most are easy to find just as you walk around the souks. Just don’t be afraid of getting lost, explore and you will discover them ☺️ I definitely recommend getting a Moroccan data SIM card at the airport though and using Google maps.

Interesting video. Where do you guys go for your "research"? You kept telling that nice man selling the parrot that you needed to do research before making an offer.

Online! Like most research we turn to the internet. The parrot was lovely, it was something we hadn’t seen before so we wanted to see if anything similar had sold.
The MDH to GBP conversion meant it was very expensive too, and the honest truth is I didn’t want to pay the price being asked despite it dropping by about 75% in case it wasn’t profitable.
I also didn’t want to pay the reduced price and find out it was worth the original asking price, as we like to be fair and reasonable, after all we ALL have to make a profit to keep us in business! This is something I explained to all 3 gents, 1 was dropping the price repeatedly which was disappointing the other 2 gents.
Like Del Boy and Rodney we could have made a mistake and left behind a £6million pound artefact, or we could have been paying over the odds for something available on PandaBuy for £10. We never actually researched it in the end as we ended up concentrating on other items.
