Jamie Oliver in Marrakesh Morocco.

- Jamie's in Morocco, dodging snake charmers to try out the street food of Marrakesh, like slow-roasted lamb in cumin, and almond and rose water cakes. Later he joins a family for some Moroccan home cooking, and makes his own versions of chicken and lemon tagine, Moroccan roast lamb, and a `snakey cake' made of filo pastry, almonds and rose petals.
Unique & beautiful nation. May peace, water, wealth, health & prosperity come to Morocco, Moroccan people & people all over the world.

Nature, Simplicity, Life, Love, & diversity that's Morocco.
You forgot carpets
Beautiful country with lovely respectful people, I love Morocco and this is where I had my honeymoon with my Moroccan husband which I’m grateful for!!!!
I was there two weeks and ate nothing but healthy food! I lost 7 pounds without even trying. Admittedly there was also a lot of walking to do and every step worth it. I had Preserved Lemon Chicken, Rabbit Tangine where the person next to me ate the eyeball, ecargo very cheap, lambs head, and cous cous, to name what I can remember. Even the taco bell pizza was healthier than anything I could obtain in the US. It's just wild. I Love it and can't wait to return. If you like to try new things and have never been there. It's the place to go. If you want to try the more interesting things a little at a time, there's plenty of regular choices as well.
:-)
if you cant find healthy food in the US you arent trying....what does the country have to do with anything? eating healthy is your choice, your responsibility and every country has healthy food
Yes the US does have healthy food, but depending on where you live, expect to pay up to an arm or leg!
mizzpoetrics yeah, vegetables are expensive......anymore excuses?
I said vegetables are expensive depending on where you live, which is a fact for some, ppl living in inner cities, so how tf is that an excuse?
انا بعشق المغرب , ربنا يكتبلنا زيارتها ,

I know this footage is old , BUT WOW!!!!!! I miss this food and this country. I can only pray to return VERY soon !!! Was here for 12 days my last visit and lost 9 pounds... GREAT FOOD Fresh and FREE from the crap they inject into the "meats" here... We reall don't know what we are putting in our bodies, you might die if you truly knew the crap you eat here it's disturbing and we make excuses for trash we put into our mouths.. I returned home and ONLY feed Halal meats to my children and myself!! Thanks for sharing , love it !
I gained 30 Lbs since I moved to the states. I try to work out everyday but nothing changed. When I go to Morocco, I eat like a beast, I don't work out except the few miles walking while enjoying the motherland, meanwhile, I lose weight. How? Idk
because your eating food that has not been tainted with experimental antibiotics and whatever else they lie and tell us to make chicken fatter and cows bigger ... its scary.+زماكري Am (י)
Sadly true

you are welcome Sister
While I really like Bourdain and his dry, laconic view of the world, Jamie's enthusiasm and excitement are contagious, and he comes the closest to the experience I had when I traveled to Morocco with my mate. Plus he shows you how to make it at home!
Thank you very much to encourage me I will come next summer to see beautiful people and country!!!

Beautiful country and culture. The food is amazing and so much richness to everything. I hope to visit Morocco soon.
Yes, yes, yes. I think Moroccan cuisine is listed as the third most delicious cuisine in the world! My mother wrote two fabulous cookbooks on Morocco. Her name is Paula Wolfert.
Leila Wolfert second most delicious cuisine in the word not third 🙂
When he said this man keeps feeding me, I can totally relate whenever I go there LOL
Morroco is not a country
it's a CONTINENT by itself
so much richeness and diversity , i love my country
+sami ajre I'm not sure you understand the definition of a country.
The US has more diversity and literally spans a continent and yet we would never call ourselves anything but a country.
Cagnazzo
techniclly it's a country (by a geographic retrospective)
but in history , you have a country in the center of the VOLCAN , (that's why we are an exception , it's not peru or korea my friend )
connection point between africa and europe , africa and berbers , morrocan's and Khalifat islamic wolrd (by the way they have never colonised morroco unlike serbia or austria..and many others ;)
we don't have arab spring even if others think we are arab ;) so yeah we are an exception in everything )
so much condensed beauty in such reduce geographic country
we have 3 continents in 1 country LOL sorry buddy
last thing , juish people are treated very well here in Morocco , so be carefull when you say america have more cultural diversity because i feel they are going back to the darkest side of their historical persecution to minorities (i hope trapp is not going to update what should never come back in humanity )
Not sure the US has more diversity. Morocco has an older history and is more diverse.
Legendary Saiyajin well the main difference is that US has no history compared to Morocco. This is a fact : the kingdom of morocco was the first country to recognize the USA as a country 400 years ago
Legendary Saiyajin the US has no culture
5:30 Azan.....

LMAO the last few minutes when the Moroccan dudes are doing lines from Little Britain! Funny stuff xD
+Bernie For The Future SHUT UP!!
the moroccan sense of humour is on point, especially that of marrakesh
djeema al fna (markets in Marrakesh) good food, spices, oj, khobiz (bread), tangine slow cooked meat dishes….lamb, cumin, ginger, fennel, salt water pickled lemons, garlic, pepper and 3-12mth old salted butter!!…or beef, chick peas, tomatoes, cumin , cinnamon…
bastela: sweet snail pastry of fill pastry filled with almond paste and rose petals or savoury with fish, chicken….
+Janice Reiersen Orange juice :p
yeah but you must buy a tagine in your country and try to make your own healthy dishes
''This man keeps feeding me'' hahaha, I cried laughing at this one.
I cooked a Tangia myself inspired by this video. It's super easy to make it at home as in a Marrakech market. The taste is unique, a real impression for those who never tried Moroccan food.
wow, great show. I would love visit Morocco. big fan of Jamie
James Schooley yes beautiful country
This is so pristine and amazing!
It reminds me of India almost 35 years ago, some villagers used to cook freshly culled goat or chicken in earthenware pots. We have moved so ahead with technologies but that meat taste, I have never experienced ever!
Thank you Jamie for bringing us the originality.
Watch it a Few years ago, Watch it again. This is Why I love his cooking style , Non Bullshit
True! Real food. And his recipes always work!
Absolutely beautiful mashallah. Great people, wonderful food and a stunning country. I've been twice and loved both trips.

Great show Jamie! The lamb in Morocco tastes great, I tried to duplicate some dishes here in the US but the lamb here tastes different and not as good.
Jamie dear, isn't it ab fab to be in Morocco, after many years it was easy to make up my mind about the food: It's the best in the world. Eat couscous with your fingers, heavenly Tagine, Harira at Ramadan, m'bastille, kefta, food glorious food. Shugran Morocco.

Thank you Jamie. I watch your cooking show on Makeful almost every day :)
amazing food n recipes from morocco. gud episode.
Morocco is truly an enchanting country to visit Fes, Meknes and Marrakesh are defiantly recommended stops the medinas are a journey into an ali baba fairytale, very friendly people beautiful mosaic tiled structures, I'm an African American and I was treated extremely well. fond memories of lying in a mezzanine at night sipping mint tea and looking at the jeweled skies of the Sahara, waking to the sounds of finches, the azan(call to prayer) eating the delicious exotic foods. exploring the labyrinth of souks browsing the beautiful Berber artistry. morocco is a treasure for the eyes. One thing I would like to share with all travelers is to make a stop at the local orphanage and offer to contribute to the childrens needs in some way. During my visit I got so much more than i could afford by simply going with a good heart. InshaAllah
i wish i could make moroccan stew and couscous at home
Jamie really loves that!!! "How cool" he should upload the old stuff too

Don't be afraid. I went alone last year for a week and stayed in a Riad in the Medina. The people were amazing and extremely helpful. No-one approached me except to try and sell stuff but it's easy to get away. You should go!!
The tangia portable stew is a brilliant concept and method of cooking.

while i agree, but any bread will do
Miss this delicious food❤️🇲🇦
That was AMAZING.
what is wrong France never influenced morocco, it's thé opposit! moroccan dishes older than even France as à country!
amen, tell em boy
Morocco was a protectorate of France for fifty or so years. That's largely when it got influenced. And on the flipside there are French dishes that are older than the earliest independent Morocco too.
Granted, those dishes are older than France as a country too, point being people were living and eating things in these regions long before any modern state appeared.
The cuisine is Berber, Arab and then lastly a tiny bit of colonial French.
Jamie Oliver isn't famed for his intellect!
If you thought before you spoke when France was in Morocco they passed over some french styles of cooking
Omg this is so cooool :D
Azaan sound is fabulous

jamie u r the best
you either love it or hate it and i love it
Erg fantastisch Jamie😍😍
my dad grew up in sicily and he grew up with a communal oven near his home....
I mean being Mid-North African, I really don't like Mediterranean food, but I love the enthusiasm behind Jamie. When I was in Morocco I hated it, I mostly stayed in the hotel and went hiking since there was a huge mountain behind the hotel I resided in. I really love the history of Morocco and I think it's a great country, but honestly I don't really like Arabian culture that much. I mean being Libyan myself I grew up with Greek and Italian culture around me and a mix of American and British. I loved Greek monuments and history, till this day I love Greece, such a wonderland of a haven on earth. Beautiful islands and culture.
So much of the food I grew with is Italian, and rightly so, although I am not a huge fan of it like I mentioned earlier, I can never deny how good it is. I also had all the sea food I can wish for. I remember I used to go to the local fish monger's pier in my city with my dad after buying a sandwich, to pick from huge varieties of sea food and even have it fried at the place. Ofcourse it wasn't alive, I can't stand people that do that. But yet it was just, magical in a sense.
It's been 15 years now, since then I have been living in the UK, great nation, lots of varieties of food. I love the British food, and I have the pleasure to eat Scottish, Irish and Welsh too, Scottish sea food is unbelievably wonderful, and I my little personal favourite is the whisky ; )
Now I am stuck in London, I feel like the "takeaways" are horrific but street food and some exceptional restaurants make up for it.
I'm sorry I went off topic by a huge margin. What I wanted to say is that I envy Jamie's enthusiasm towards picking and choosing what you put in your mouth, I feel like I have learned to appreciate a bit of "extra" culture more than I tend to.
Kanitas Luchianito erm, forgive me, I didn't realise you cared so much, I am sorry, I should of filed a report and sent it to you just to give me permission to have my own opinion. Why are you so mad? I hated morocco, what's the problem? Not like you never even said something like that before. anyways before I mute you for ever, go fuck yourself.
live in london and love morocco cant wait to go back
God bless you brother
MOROCCO a beauty it self
We have Spanish influences too. So are really big mix. But lovely
+Medallion App Too but our food has influences from them. Just like the french cuisine.
Hij is een geweldige man heel veel succes Jamie 👍👍
