When Chris died I took three days off of work. My friends couldn’t believe what was wrong we me, they said “you’ve never met that guy and he wouldn’t know you from shit, or help you if he could”. I said he already helped me and a lot of other people. See, when someone makes something like this song, when someone else’s lives through it it’s assuring for them to know someone’s been through, and is still living through the same shit. That’s how music connects us all
Perfectly said. They've helped in ways only others in the same situation would know. The power of music is so much more then just sounds. It's stories that so many of us have also experienced and it's healing. It's cathartic.
Amen, AMEN Lord AMEN to that brother. Chris Cornell saved me many times over the years. I wish I could have saved him like he saved me. I'm still broken over him.
Actually, he would know you from shit because he just knew and wanted to know everyone. I was on West 4th street with my wife and 2 kids. We just finished eating in Burritoville and walked out and I saw someone who looked like Chris from behind. I asked my wife, " Is that Chris Cornell?" She replied, "GO! GO! GO!" He was almost in his RV when I called out "Chris!" He turns around, comes off the street back to our side of the sidewalk and say, "Hi, how are you doing?" I said, " I just went to your concert last week at MSG and that our family loves you. Your music is beyond the individual, it's universal!" He replied, "Thanks." Sweet and simple. My wife asked him to take a photo, he shakes my hand, bends down and puts his face next to my daughter and son. We said thanks and he did as well, then he left. He knew us, he smiled, and he enjoyed being around people.
everytime i watch these videos of him, it makes my heart ache, such an unbelievably, ridiculously talented guy he was, one for the ages of our generation for real
that's true, man. IMO he was the Midas of Rock. All of his projects were pure gold (Soundgarden, TOTD, Audioslave, Solo Career). He reached the "Godlike" Status in life. He's jamming around in heaven with Freddie, Cash, Hendrix, Joplin, Morisson, Bowie, etc. And his voice will be echoing on earth forever and warming up our hearts
I have depression really bad and when I see him I cry like a Baby... And get very scared knowing how he did it. And my Best Friend. N I'm down to just one person in my life. I know I will be listen to him when I go.

I got to see him perform once in my life. For that I'm thankful. I cried when he died. His music comforted me in my troubled times. Thanks Chris. I miss you.
Nearly 2 years later and ... I just can't even begin to comprehend that he's gone. We needed you, Chris. We love you. And now you fly above us, free at last. May you rest at peace.
there it IS deary ..now video EPIC FOR HE IS FAITH NO MORE WE GOT CHRISTOPHER JOHN CORNELL HE HAS A SURPRISE FOR US ALL TOO ...!!! EPICALLY SOON VIDEO DEAR S
I was the dog for 6 months in my last relationship. It’s the greatest feeling in the world to look back at the person I was then and realize im out. This song is about a girlfriend that treats the guy like shit constantly and he loses his identity and mind trying to be the person she wants. He can’t take her off that pedestal because he “loves” her and never calls her bluff. I begged and persuaded her to come back a dozen times just to be fooled and crush again within a week each time. I just recently got off the antidepressants and therapy from that toxic relationship but I’m still not there yet, especially my self esteem. Shadow on the Sun was what I thought I could connect with (check it out) because I always thought it was my fault and I could find the magic answer but as I become more aware it’s this song, Call Me a Dog. It’s bad to be able to feel every word from Chris Cornell, but I’m happy I can use his songs (audioslave mainly) to process my thoughts. RIP to the man with the voice of an angel and the pain of a thousand knives. ❤️ Great song. What a poet. Edit: This audio quality is equal to the recorded version. Mind blowing that he gives it 200% every time.
I keep watching this video over & over. It always amazed me how he sang with so much power, but sometimes would barely open his mouth. He was such a beast on vocals & guitar both. He has always fascinated me. He was so dark, mysterious & brooding. But he had the greatest pipes in rock music. I love & miss Chris Cornell dearly. Rest In Peace brother. The knights of the Sound table still continue to ride on in your honor Chris...🤘🏻
Legends have said that his voice was so powerful, that it alone destroyed the microphones out, several of them. We will never have another Chris in any lifetime.
He will always live on.... through his music . The gentle giant, I nicknamed him - I'm 5'6", so he was really tall, but also unassuming. We knew he was in a band, but back then - 89-90, everyone was in a band. I mean the Seattle music scene was on fire. Sure they had an album out, but they hadn't hit the big time yet. R.I.P. We've lost a lot of people along the way, but that one hurt... a lot.
My close friend loved him . I hadn’t listened to any of his music . She was extremely upset at his passing. I’ve just recently got into his music! I fukkin love him ! Such an awesome artist !!
You call me a dog well that's fair enough 'Cause it ain't no use to pretend You're wrong When you call me out I cant hide anymore I have no disguise you cant see through Well you say its bad luck To have fallen for me Well what can I say to make it good for you You wore me out like an old winter coat Trying to be safe from the cold But when its my time to throw The next stone I'll call you beautiful if I call at all You tell me I'm low cause I've slept on the floor And out in the woods with the badgers & wolves You threw me out cause I went digging for gold And I came home with a handful of coal But when its my time to throw the next stone I'll call you beautiful if I call at all And when its my time to call your bluff I'll call you beautiful or leave it alone You call me a dog Well that's fair enough It doesn't bother me as long as you know Bad luck will follow you If you keep me on a leash and You drag me along
the amount that the world misses this man and everything he stood for cannot even be measured 💔 he was an advocate for the abused and he died for it sadly as did Chester and in the same time period and I hope we can all come together again and try again for truth and justice
Some people just couldn't die...even if they disappear from Earth, you see their grave and couldn't deny their death, for you they just couldn't die...one of them is Chris Cornell. He's here with so many of us and he'll be forever. Like Jim Morrison, Layne Staley, Freddy Mercury or Jimi Hendrix.

@@blusinbarnesify dude, please get some help. Depression is a wicked thing, but it can be beat!
You cant have that much heart, without some pain. The 90's was a magic time, and I wish for a do-over, just to hear it once more.
The quality of this clip is commendable.
R.I.P. Chris Cornell. No one sings like you do anymore.😢❤❤❤

Absolutelly Master of Voice. R.I.P CC
You call me a dog well that's fair enough
'Cause it ain't no use to pretend
You're wrong
When you call me out I cant hide anymore
I have no disguise you cant see through
Well you say its bad luck
To have fallen for me
Well what can I say to make it good for you
You wore me out like an old winter coat
Trying to be safe from the cold
But when its my time to throw
The next stone
I'll call you beautiful if I call at all
You tell me I'm low cause I've slept on the floor
And out in the woods with the badgers & wolves
You threw me out cause I went digging for gold
And I came home with a handful of coal
But when its my time to throw the next stone
I'll call you beautiful if I call at all
And when its my time to call your bluff
I'll call you beautiful or leave it alone
You call me a dog
Well that's fair enough
It doesn't bother me as long as you know
Bad luck will follow you
If you keep me on a leash and
You drag me along
Thanks, I didn't know it word for word.
Beautiful all away around, miss his energy and the love he gave us with his music
Chris , you will be in my heart forever. We miss U

Achingly beautiful. Never get tired of this song or his animalistic vocals. I wish I could can that vocal prowess and huff it. Gorgeous.
