Just because Chris was a big fan of led Zeppelin, I'll say this..I feel blessed that this world had two incredible Voices: first Robert Plant for generation of our parents, and Chris Cornell is the voice of our generation
I love watching different live performances of the same songs at different points in time and hearing his voice change. Here his voice has a bit more rasp kinda breathy where if you go way back or just a few years ahead his voice is a lot cleaner. Really interesting.

That is the treasure of having 4 octave range. You can make the same song sound unique every time. Most times he doesnt want the sound too clean. He likes to carry specific syllables to create a kind of sonic wave. It is quite remarkable.
