    Great post! I saw Buzzcocks on this tour in '79 (I don't remember which month) at The Opera House in Lawrence, KS. Ultravox opened the show. I was 19 years old and this concert blew my mind. My musical world changed after seeing those two bands live!

      December 5th 1979, there is a partial audio recording of that gig with seven of the songs. You were lucky to have been there

    I saw them in Blackburn a few weeks (Oct 79) with Joy Division supporting them and was lucky enough to talk to Pete about last year in November, he is very very sadly missed.

    The P.C. SJWs of today's punk rock scene would have definitely went off on that girl wearing the swastika shirt. However, that was common in the early U.K. punk scene. I've seen a picture of Siouxsie Sioux wearing a shirt just like that girl had.

    • @ScottishTeeVee
      @ScottishTeeVee  5 років тому +1

      The girl with the t shirt is the least of the SJW worries. Note the guy who walks towards that girl in the white jacket with the sleeves cut off, they are together. Writing on the jackets says "Nazi baby" "Homosexual murder in mind" "kill yourself" and more that I can't make out.

      And that's a bad thing that people would go off on that girl?

      @@mountaindew7190 Free speech doesn't mean you have to respect odious views. In fact, it includes the right to "go off on" people for their odious views. Read John Stuart Mill.
