I love the way they have moved with the times here and are all dressed like people dressed in 1989 even though they are a 70s band. The Buzzcocks never gave a shit about clothes and fashion in the 70s which was great because they were more interested in playing good music. I wish I'd heave known they were still playing in 89 I would have definitely gone to see them. It is only all these years later with internet /UA-cam you can see how long they played for. Back in 89 I just used to buy tickets to see bands from a chaulk board in my local record store that listed all bands that were playing. I loved The Buzzcocks as a little kid but by the time I started watching bands at 16 years old in 1989 I thought The Buzzcocks were finished never to be seen again.
I last saw the Buzzcocks in 1989 - at Nottingham Rock City - around the same time this was recorded I think. (have it on an old VHS) Like this they were absolutely bang on form, tight drumming & bass, Mr Diggle knocking them out & always remember Pete's funny little intros to some of the numbers ....:) RIP mate. Legends....

I have this on VHS tape (it doesn't seem to be available on DVD) and I wanted to make sure that it was available to watch somewhere, before finally throwing out ALL of my old VHS tapes and my old VCR. It's not an easy thing to do, when you have tapes that you have had for over 25 years, but when you move home sometimes you need to have a good clear out.

+NicBunnymen I did actually keep a few VHS tapes, including this Buzzcocks recording, but I did throw out my big clunky VCR (so I don't actually have anything to play the videos on now).
+NicBunnymen I recently bought a second-hand Sony VCR from the charity shop where I volunteer for £20. They sell more VCRs than DVD players, cos VCRs are so hard to get hold of these days. It's in good condition and much more compact than the big clunky one I threw out. I was able to dig out my old VHS tapes and give them a try.

Hi Mike. Yes: amazing as it sounds, John Maher was only 29 when the Buzzers reformed in 1989. I was 15 at the time and saw them in Birmingham. So yes, he was 16 when they started. It must have been bizarre for him playing comeback concerts before he was thirty.

This was the only tour I was ever able to catch. My left ear bled for a couple of days afterwards,A primo pop-rock band. The writing was terrific.

GO buy a new or used vcr. Keep all tapes. Take care mate and keep listening to the great Buzzcocks.

Mike Roby born in 1960, so in July 1976 he was 16. Freaking amazing.
