    Refreshing. Beautiful tasteful playing. Love the space between the notes. Too often drummers want to fill every possible hole. My new fave drummer

    If anybody ever asks you, "why is Benny Greb aloud to do a DVD entitled "The Art and Science of Groove"??? Isnt that a bit arrogant?" First show them this Video and then rewind to 1:27 ... does anybody know a drummer able to make a pause so groovy???

      Simon Vidlund Can confirm. Does sound delish. Used my 14" filter china under my 14" Extra Dry Medium Hats at a gig Saturday night.

    • @MercenaryDrummer
      @MercenaryDrummer 8 років тому

      Simon Vidlund Yep! I love the 14" extra dry hats, man.. they sound so killer. I've also got 18" and 20" Extra Dry Thin crashes, and 20" and 22" Extra Dry Medium rides.. as well as a 21" byzance traditional medium crash. Wanting to add a 22" sand crash/ride and 18" sand thin crash to my arsenal at some point.

    • @simonvidlund4077
      @simonvidlund4077 8 років тому

      Cool man! Can you describe how the sound is different with the extra dry from the sand hats? I recently got some new meinl cymbals, love them! I have a 19" extra dry thin crash, 20" sand ride, 22" vintage pure light ride, 14" extra dry hats and a 10" extra dry splash.

    Anyone know how he mounts the mini Xhats? I can't figure it out, and I have the same cymbals to work with (08” Classics Bell and 08” Byzance Dark Splash). No stand I have seems to go deep enough to accommodate the height of the Xhat.
    Thanks

    • @agee23
      @agee23 8 років тому

      I'm sure someone makes an adapting boom arm to accommodate the height of hihats. Shouldn't be hard to find one!

    • @drummerboy1976
      @drummerboy1976 8 років тому

      MSH.Drums Remove the cymbal sleeve on a regular cymbal boom arm. The bell will go all the way to the bottom. Just use a washer underneath. Mount the splash on top of the bell, use another washer and the wingnut and you're good to go.
