Lol at the guy screaming "chid" during the clapping part.
+iopklmification Oh my fucking god, that's the best thing ever.
+iopklmification What does "chid" mean?
😂😂😂
Sebastian H.
It means you don't know much about Benny.
+iopklmification Could you explain it please? :D
Props to the audio engineer, great sounding kit.
What John Bonham and Buddy Rich meant to drummers in the 70's and Neil Peart meant to drummers in the 80's, Benny Greb is the drumming hero of the 2000's and 2010's.
John Bonham? Oh puhlease! Most overrated drummer next to Moon.
well without him, greb wouldn't be like this , Bonham did simple things but they were very new at the time
Try to play Moby Dick like Bonham and you will see if he was overated! And moon was only a rock n'roll drummer and a great showman! But these guys made music history!Benny Greb will never do!
I view John Bonham in the same way that I view Ringo and Stewart Copeland, which is that they are not revolutionary by today's standards but they were revolutionary at the time, it's just that drummers today have borrowed so much from Bonham, Ringo and Copeland that we have forgotten who we're actually borrowing it from.
@@popeyesailor9571 whaaaat? 😂😂😂
No one plays like Benny
No one play like me or like you, every drummer has his/her own style...
@@notme.3917 That's right. And I'm pretty sure you also know he was simply using a fairly common turn of phrase to articulate his appreciation for Benny's particular style.
@@schaddalton of course. Lol
C. Doom Schneider give a look to some of his interviews or his whole approach of « the language of drumming » and you’ll understand who he is given so much praise amongst the drumming world. He sure is not as « choppy » as someone like Eric Moore or Aaron Spears (even if I’m pretty sure he’d have the technical ability to do so), or not as fast as someone like Mike Mangini but the man’s got groove for years. Not even mentioning that he is always playing for the song, as it can be seen here. Never overplaying but never boring, his drumming is always interesting. He is as well one of the best clinicians/ educators in the world. So no, he’s not overrated
@C. Doom Schneider Hey Chris, you like jelly?
That solo was utterly magnificent. Jesus. Dynamics to die for.
I'm I the only one here that appreciate how amazing the keyboard player is?
No, you are not. Don't forget to give props to the bassist. ;-)
I think it's safe to say that entire stage was filled with talent
Yes Bennys playing !
I dont mean to be off topic but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..?
I was stupid forgot the login password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Abram Rowan instablaster ;)
massive respect to the keyboardist holding down the bass and keys, awesome, as well as benny and the guitarist
I love his solos because he incorporates beats from his other songs on moving parts so hes always playing something completely relevant. The timing, groove, fills, sound and lack of, is flawless.
Who could possibly dislike this?! This was fucking great! I wish this kind of stuff was on the radio! :-)
Probably the best drum video I've ever watched
I love how on the very last note his cymbal stand gives out. So epic
Benny has the best sounding drum kit.
That groove though.
That is what SONOR stands for.
That final cymbal crash though.
crash crashed.

teehee
And then walk out behind the kit like it was supposed to be hahah
the cymbal crashed lmao
Just noticed... Two Bottom Hi Hats? I love the fact Benny experiments so much with his sounds. Such an inspirational player!
thattt issss some BRUTAL GROOVING....... The whole time i was like DAMNN...........
Favorite Drummer of all time.
Fucking unbelievable. So much groove, feel, technicality all done with continuity. Hats off.
This is amazing, amazing, amazing, ...!!!!
I'm smiling now!
Those sand hats are absolutely gorgeous
4:00 in and I literally drooled on laptop....Benny you genius!
So so so much beautiful feel and expression. It's like each part of the drum kit is a person talking...hence, 'Moving Parts'. Majestic.
Benny Never uses the top screws on his crash stands. I like a man who lives dangerously
My crashes fall off the stand when I do that and it happened at a gig once so I’ve vowed never to do let that happen again hah
That solo was freaking bonkers. Holy smokes. But one thing that pisses me off is that the names of the other players aren't mentioned in the description of this video!! :/
+Arthur Garwood Delahooke this is Benny Greb's band, called Moving Parts. The other players are Chris Montague (guitar) and Kit Downes (Keys).
+Arthur Garwood Delahooke Why would anybody mention them? They are just inimportant musicians. BENNY'S DA KING !!
John Doe
To me it's polite and fair. These guys put time and effort to go and play with this guy and they should be recognized further as well. I totally get that this is Benny's gig and what not but that doesn't mean that they can't recognize the other players as well.
+John Doe Cause they are also fantastic musicians.
+John Doe if they're so unimportant, imagine the song without them.
THE groove, man... THE GROOVE!
Just beautiful drumming. It's like a really interesting conversation. Inspirational!
The drum kit sounds great. Benny plays fantastic, i love his timing.
chops, speed, precision, dynamics, taste, is there anything this guy can't do?!
Fucking amazing when he gets the crowd to clap, the chemistry between him and the crowd is fantastic, I love how he relies on them to keep time, else everything would fall apart, and i love how EVERYONE in the crowd is keeping time perfectly! Only at a drum festival 😂😂😂 fucking savage!
those cymbals sound wicked!!!! and wow that snare!
Benny Greb is a groove machine!!
Aw man the sound off that kit!!! Cymbals crisp and fizzy, juicy toms, bass drum popin' damn
To me hes the greatest drummer of all time.
Benny,i'm watching you at least 6 years now,and i have to say that you are the most interesting drummer i have ever seen..you said that you 're trying every day to be the best Benny Greb you can and this is the exlanation for your excellent style! God Bless You!
one of the best drum solos in modern history!!
I could listen to Benny playing this groove 5:39 all day and not get tired
I think I found my new all time favourite drumsolo. Holy smokes!!!
Best use of the the audience I've seen 😂
This is so amazing!
it's hard to see solos like this, with incredible musicality but also with showmanship or crowd interaction ! Benny is a modern legend
when i watch greb i completely zone out and go on a groovetastic journey
The overall feeling is very good. Benny's drumming is also the best.
Good to see Benny using small kits, unlike so many today.
A throwback to the past greats of drumming.
I wonder who his drum hero’s were.
This is so alive! People love Thomas Lang I can not understand why? I mean look at this stuff Benny plays. So much heart and feel! 😍
both great, but i will say I love Benny"s feel.
the most tasteful drummer, simply astonishing.
This song never gets old.
Benny the man... Love your grooves
Absolutely Brilliant!
that snare is absolutely incredible! amazing solo as always. wish I could groove as hard as Benny
Amazing drummer... simply the best!
didn't hear of benny until today. really diggin' it.
He's overall on of the best drummers in the world.. his feel... groove.. rythm and technique is out of this world...
No such thing as the best drummer in the world,it's an arbitrary concept.
@@hectorsanaifric343 yeah. You are onto something. In My opinion then.. 😉
man his kit along with everything else sound amazing.
That kick and floor tom is ferocious! Such a great sounding kit.
His sound, his groove = eargasms
some solid clapping from that audience, you can tell they are all drummers!
This is amazing!
My biggest thumbs up for Benny Grebs performance.
That double crash is beautiful. great sound.
Such amazing players. Benny's groove always amazes
This is simply amazing!
This might be my new favorite Benny solo
That kit sounds sooo perfect
Love the funk. Benny, you exude groove.
Absolutely Amazing! :) I can`t wait to see Benny perform in Quebec city this weekend! :)
No words Benny always got me out of words
The magic is in the beanie!!!!! That's why I wear one!!!.. now I'm watching for the magic..
The exceptional thing about Benny's playing is the fact that if you mess up the slightest bit, it can throw you off the original groove completely. If you're playing metal, jazz, or whatever, you can kind of get right back in. With this groove focused type of playing, every stroke has to be precise and intricate.
And thats why Benny is so phenomenal.
+MintahDrums hell yeah. Man when i looked for the third or maybe fourth time. It's so deep in my head it's perfect you know what i mean ?
I was listening to this from another room...I didnt knew who it was....and I was thinking...hmm...this sound acutally a lot like Dave weckl and a tune for Master Plan...
;)
Benny Greb...fantastico drummer...
best solo i've ever seen!
So good man… love it
Perfect groove!
He's just simply the most fun to listen to out of all the drummers on Earth. He's definitely benefited by having a "smaller" sized kit that's placed beneath him. Helps maintain that control.
so creative and inspirational, truly the best drummer according to me!
Fantastico trio e fantastico Benny, uno dei miei batteristi preferiti ma non solo per la tecnica ma anche per la simpatia che emana, un grande
Thanks for posting this! I love seeing Benny do all the cool Brass Band stuff with Moving Parts. Next Question from his DVD is especially awesome.
+Hendrik Intemann (HenneVanHalen) Nice to see you as well my friend! I'll always be around when there is a good Benny video to be seen.
jesus!!so amazing!!!
WOW! Fantastic!
Love the sound of those rim shots at 0:56. Great snare sound btw :)

You could say that he's a MOVING legend
How crispy sound is!
Sehr sehr geil!
Amazinggg 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Lição de hoje: você nunca será tão gênio quanto o Benny Greb.
Nice to see a new spongebob kit he's got there.... ;)
Haha, a nice one.... :P
That high tom actually sounds great
that snare😍
That snare. THis is the prototype sound of a snare for me!
meraviglioso Benny Greb !!!!
piękna ,przyjemna muzyczka ,rozjaśnia zachmurzone niebo, rozświetla blask gwiazd nocą ,można zapomnieć się na chwilkę
Про ЭТО не нужно писать,про ЭТО-молча смотреть слушать!
Benny is awesome , then again the other players are excellent also. very enjoyable.
What a pleasure to watch one of the masters. Benny reminds me a of a Jazz version of Marco Minneman, must be those great German genes.
Great sense of time!
This is the best solo ever.
Amazing
