@@ericgeorgescu3391 I try to remember a lot of the names of the songs, but I am really bad at remembering names and song names so I cant. But this one I always remember, even when just thinking about it.
One of the best indie games I have ever played, and my new gold standard for how sequels should improve on their predecessor. The music was a big part; some of my favourite themes were Center City Cenote, the “boring life” song, and Nano Cleaner Zera. Thank you so much for this game, and I’ll definitely be playing “S” day 1!
Very few games have such trascendent soundtracks that can take me to other worlds and places. This is one of them. Absolutely beautiful. Cenote City in particular is a masterpiece.
Just finished the game and I have to thank you all for making such an amazing, unique game. It quickly became one of my favorite games ever and I can't wait to listen more to this amazing OST too!
I think I come here at least three times a week to listen to this OST... It helps me drive, sleep, draw, anything really. This game, Anodyne, Even the Ocean, and All Our Asias have such inspiring OSTs, such inspiring stories. They’re all wonderful, and I’m grateful that you have let us experience them.
It shouldn't be surprising, but this music is great atmosphere while working my night shift janitor job. It actually helps to dull my chronic pain a bit by getting lost in the soundscape, so your music is also an analgesic! Thank you so much for creating and sharing with the world.
Yesterday I've finished the ''good/true?'' ending of andonyne 2, and it made me emotional, and I didn't think I still had it in me to get to that point from playing a game. It was a lot of to fun to play and explore and I was super invested in watching Nova's story unfold and living through the emotions that came with it. And I think I learned something? That's always a plus. The music was really amazing and I love the use of Leitmotif from Palasade theme it really added to the scenes and what they where trying to convey. Overall the game had some really great beats and they never got to the point of being monotonous. I hope that the future for you both is as bright as you made it for Nova & Zera.
I'm so glad I have a way to listen to this games music now! It's so relaxing it fits perfectly with the games tone. I love this game so much it was an amazing experience! Can't wait for anodyne 3😉
I got a copy of this game in a bundle. The story and the music were inspiring and I wish you the best in your video game development. You have something special here.
Anodyne and Anodyne 2 are two of the most amazing and inspirational games for me. Totally reformed my inner philosophies about life and games with these pieces of art. Thank you for the amazing music as well. I will play everything you guys make
@@analgesicproductions without people like you understanding and creating on the platform of video games I would have little faith for the progression. I cant remember if I commented on here previously, but ever since I played through the game in september, I get nostalgic for the music already. I keep coming back here to listen to Center City Cenote, Lamp Strewn Crawlspace/Musty Attic Loneliness, Pastel Horizon, Bonegummed Yearnsands, and ton of others. Its just so unique and listenable. The game and its soundtrack remind me of a combo of Undertale and Earthbound in its weird/quirkiness.

A true hidden gem. A heartwarming experience from start to finish. Music is how I remember some of my fondest memories, and unfortunate as this timing is for me, this will be one of those OSTs that reminds me of a soft, safe haven in dark times. Thank you two for making this.
Hi, i recently finished playing your game and felt like letting you know my thoughts on it. I picked this game up very casually because it looked interesting. The experience i had and the time that i spent with the game is absolutely irreplacable to me. Being completely honest, i never expected the game to make me feel like it did, but it did make me feel in the end, it made me feel like never before. I simply can't put my love for this game in words. Thank you so much.
Thank you and I'm glad you had a very memorable time. Honestly a big part of why we make games is to create stuff that will really be memorable and worthwhile for people so I'm happy you had a good time!!
I'm so glad to have bought this game (and it's amazing soundtrack) on week 1, played Anodyne 1 recently and I'm loving 2 even more as I play. Good job, guys!
found these games through Nitro Rad's review of Anodyne 1. Really glad I saw that review because now these two games are some of my all time favorites. your music adds an amazing touch of emotion to these games that I haven't seen done the same anywhere else. can't wait for the next project!
Legitimately when i first heard 1:53:13 , I couldn’t hold back my laughter because I only recognized it from Arfenhouse. I know it’s one if the default songs in OHRRPGCE (which that section is an homage to) but in my heart, that music is associated with Arfenhouse.
Hi, I got the game on epic, I finished it 2 days ago, and since I can't write a steam review I'm here to say that your game made me feel like no other have. I don't know, it was kinda familiar, welcoming, even peaceful. I think the music has a lot to do with this. It feels dreamy and warm, I like it. Thank you both for your creation. I wish you the best.
Thanks for playing! I've considered making visual novels a few times. My game All Our Asias (2018, free) is kinda like a visual novel - I'd like to explore more stuff like that. -Melos
Not listening in full until I finish the game, but I needed to say that Greensleeves with a MIDI cuica broke me for several minutes. Thank you. (I've been enjoying everything else too.)
The Life That We'll Live always moves me tears no matter how many times I've listened to it... It channels all my memories as Nova and makes the ending all the more bittersweet. If I have a baby girl I'll most definitely name her Zera, for I hope the world we live in will have room for all of Zera :) Thank you for making such a wonderful (and very sentimental!) dream a reality. Level design, writing, visuals, music... the production value of the game is sublime! Anodyne 2 will forever be one of my top 5 favorite games (that is, until Anodyne 3 tops it)!
+ANALGESIC PRODUCTIONS I have yet to play Even the Ocean or All Our Asias, so I should do that! Really excited for what you two make next! I hope you expand more on 3D gameplay in the next game, but I’m looking forward to what you all have planned regardless.
Number 12 is my favourite. I explored the city over and over just to listen the track. I like the track so much I find myself humming it. 😊 Thank you for your wonderful game.
I bought the original Anodyne on a whim while it was on sale and played it only last year, so I was surprised when Anodyne 2 released not long after and was happy to pay full price for it. I love both games and soundtracks and will definitely be buying this one soon, thanks for the great stuff!
This upload has gotten me through so much difficult studying. Thank You so much for compiling the OST into this video! Amazing game, excited to replay it sometime soon!
This OST brings me home. Thank you. I haven't finished the game yet, but it feels like it's cleaning the dust in my body everytime I advance a little in it.
Listened to the album before playing the game, then when I play after an edible I find myself entranced in the music doing circles in my car around the track for who knows how long. The music adds SO MUCH
I just downloaded & started playing this yesterday (and haven't finished it yet), but I'm somehow already nostalgic for the early-game tracks...?! Amazing work. I've been so unimaginably excited for this since I played the first Anodyne, and I cannot tell you how perfect the timing was for me to play this one.
Heya! I just finished your game and the music was a BIG factor in why I enjoyed my time with it so much. I truly don't wanna leave this amazing world you have created and ill always cherish the warm cozy feelings I get when playing! :)
this game is such an inspiration to me. the writing, the visuals, and the music that ties it all together. this is one of those soundtracks that i always find myself coming back to.........thank u for making such an amazing piece of art that i'll never forget!!!!!!!!!!!
This is one of my top ten games of all time. I have never experienced something so emotional and personal before, and it was wrapped in a great story with fun gameplay and an interesting world to discover. To this day this is the only soundtrack that makes me immediately emotional upon hearing it. Do you ever plan to do a physical release? I would shell out top dollar for a vinyl!
Wow thank you!! Glad you enjoyed our world. We put a lot of care into it and it's definitely our vision for one of the futures of games. As for vinyl, I'd like to do it, but it'd probably be a selection of songs. If i launched that it'd probably be after console release early next year! -melos
I added the Anodyne theme to Animal Crossing and I'm now reblasting the ost to GOTY 2019, this game is excellent and I'm eagerly trying to convince all my friends to play it, excellent job with the game, art and OST, y'all ♥️
I got the game on launch but everything got in the way and I still haven't had a chance to play, I've enjoyed listening to the soundtrack tonight though, the opening themes flooded me with nostalgia for the first game, which I still hold dear as one of my all time favourites. Hopefully I will find time to play this one soon, I don't doubt you've continued your streak of brilliance with this title.
Hi, i noticed you often reply or "heart" comments, so here i am i just finished your game, i loved it, it reminds me of very atmospheric ps2 games, which i grew up with i'm glad i found out about it! i also added its ost to my fav ost playlist
The track 'Lamp-strewn Crawlspace' really reminds me of the more unsettling parts of Okami. I'm sure there's a specific scene I'm thinking of, but I can't remember ;-; it's such a good track though, such a short loop but somehow SO atmospheric and creepy and sad and...dusty
I looked for a neat game to drizzle some hours into so I snatched this one for free on Epic Games' store. But instead I found myself. I promise I'll pay double next time, forgive me.
I had it in epic games since then but never played right now i was playing various games that epic give but i didn't play and this was one of the amazing in the bunch i already even whislisted anodyne 1 and the OST for this one
Don't feel gulty :), it's Epic that pays for the free games, not the developpers. I guess they can afford it with the money earned through fortnite... Anyway, I'm in the same case as you, I also had the game for free on Epic, and I have to admit, I also felt sad for the developpers after playing the game, then I red that the loss was for Epic which made me feel better when using their free games system :) .
@@henrriquetordoya1637 How do you feel about the game in hindsight? I haven't played it since my first playthrough 4-ish years ago and it is honestly a lovely memory for me. Been thinking of going back to it and see how I feel now :)

Thank you for following our work and glad you thought it worked well as a sequel!! Also glad you enjoyed my music! -Melos
Very few games have such trascendent soundtracks that can take me to other worlds and places. This is one of them. Absolutely beautiful. Cenote City in particular is a masterpiece.
Thank you!! -Melos
Thank you!! Glad to hear you like the music and stories so much.
It shouldn't be surprising, but this music is great atmosphere while working my night shift janitor job. It actually helps to dull my chronic pain a bit by getting lost in the soundscape, so your music is also an analgesic! Thank you so much for creating and sharing with the world.
Thanks for listening and I'm glad it's helpful for you!!
Thanks for your comment and I'm glad you saw the game through!
I'm so glad I have a way to listen to this games music now! It's so relaxing it fits perfectly with the games tone. I love this game so much it was an amazing experience! Can't wait for anodyne 3😉
hmm today i will cry to ambient noise
Good choice! Please enjoy.
That whole Geoff scene really hit me in the feels. 30:36 still sends chills down my spine.
This one of the things that I really like to listen when I'm drawing my story.
I got a copy of this game in a bundle. The story and the music were inspiring and I wish you the best in your video game development. You have something special here.
everytime i listen to this i start to cry
Aw thanks for your comment!
Anodyne and Anodyne 2 are two of the most amazing and inspirational games for me. Totally reformed my inner philosophies about life and games with these pieces of art. Thank you for the amazing music as well. I will play everything you guys make
Wow thank you! I'm glad to hear that our games were so valuable for you and for your continued support!
@@analgesicproductions without people like you understanding and creating on the platform of video games I would have little faith for the progression. But you and a few other developers really understand how to subvert expectation and exceed expectation with limited tools and create something really magical to experience alone or with friends. We sit and muse over the boundaries of an imagined reality and in turn expand our understandings of life. Powerful stuff. And you are some of the only people who know how to harness it! Thanks again and really look forward to your next projects
@@zillagramwiches thank you that means a lot to hear we're on the right track! Yes, a lot of our games work is trying to really imagine a future for games and make enriching stuff!
Thank you for playing and glad you liked the music! I like those OSTs too. You might enjoy reading this list of anodyne 2 musical influences: meloshantani.wordpress.com/2019/11/25/anodyne-2-musical-influences-an-incomplete-list/
@@analgesicproductions Thanks will def check that out!
A true hidden gem. A heartwarming experience from start to finish. Music is how I remember some of my fondest memories, and unfortunate as this timing is for me, this will be one of those OSTs that reminds me of a soft, safe haven in dark times.
Thank you two for making this.
Thanks for your comment!! -Melos

Still playing through this game for the first time, but Time To Let Go is perfect
Can't stop coming here at least once a week and listen (multiple times) to my favourite tracks. Love you guys so much
Thanks for listening!! Glad you like the dimension dive song too :~)
Just started playing this game and the soundtracks already getting stuck in my head. You killed it with this ost.
Thank you! I'm glad you heard about it through his video and that you played our games! Next one should be out early next year!
Legitimately when i first heard 1:53:13 , I couldn’t hold back my laughter because I only recognized it from Arfenhouse.
I know it’s one if the default songs in OHRRPGCE (which that section is an homage to) but in my heart, that music is associated with Arfenhouse.
Me too! (Melos). I actually never knew about ohrrpgce and this song until a few years ago - it was always the arfenhouse song for me!
@@analgesicproductions That is amazing
Hi, I got the game on epic, I finished it 2 days ago, and since I can't write a steam review I'm here to say that your game made me feel like no other have. I don't know, it was kinda familiar, welcoming, even peaceful. I think the music has a lot to do with this. It feels dreamy and warm, I like it. Thank you both for your creation. I wish you the best.
Thank you for playing and for your thoughts!! I definitely agree about the music.
-Melos
Just finished both Anodyne 1 and 2. Both fantastic games. With the brilliant OST and great writing I bet you'd make a good visual novel.
Thanks for playing! I've considered making visual novels a few times. My game All Our Asias (2018, free) is kinda like a visual novel - I'd like to explore more stuff like that. -Melos
@@analgesicproductions ooo I’ll have to check it out

Amazing, beautiful game in every way. Love the soundtrack!
This makes the game so special. I love it
Not listening in full until I finish the game, but I needed to say that Greensleeves with a MIDI cuica broke me for several minutes. Thank you. (I've been enjoying everything else too.)
i'm glad you liked that part!
The Life That We'll Live always moves me tears no matter how many times I've listened to it... It channels all my memories as Nova and makes the ending all the more bittersweet. If I have a baby girl I'll most definitely name her Zera, for I hope the world we live in will have room for all of Zera :)
Thank you for making such a wonderful (and very sentimental!) dream a reality. Level design, writing, visuals, music... the production value of the game is sublime! Anodyne 2 will forever be one of my top 5 favorite games (that is, until Anodyne 3 tops it)!
I loved this game. Finished both 1 & 2 last year. Loved both of them. Just wish there was more :’(
Thanks! You might like some of our other games or our next one!
+ANALGESIC PRODUCTIONS I have yet to play Even the Ocean or All Our Asias, so I should do that!
Really excited for what you two make next! I hope you expand more on 3D gameplay in the next game, but I’m looking forward to what you all have planned regardless.
@@averyjenson thanks! A significant part of our next game is 3d platforming exploration so you're in luck!

Thank you for your wonderful game.
Thank you!!
I got this game on epic awhile back and finally tried and it was amazing you did a great job
The music adds SO MUCH
Ty for your story!
You both made something really special and amazing. I hope you feel proud of yourselves for that.

I added the Anodyne theme to Animal Crossing and I'm now reblasting the ost to GOTY 2019, this game is excellent and I'm eagerly trying to convince all my friends to play it, excellent job with the game, art and OST, y'all ♥️
Aw cool thanks!
Amazing work, Sean. Just so hypnotic and nostalgic. I can't wait for more cool stuff in the future!

I´ve just finished the first game on Nintendo Switch. It was wonderful. I wish part 2 ws aviable for Switch aswell.
Thanks! I've never played okami very far but if you ever remember what part it reminds you of feel free to post here!
anodyne 2 made me dimly feel things even through the antidepressant haze :)
If there ever comes to be a playlist with each individual song please let me know :)
