the best australian show. its a shame the actor wanted to move on to something else but he has been playing the character since like 20 years ago when him and the producer made a short film about ray shoesmith.
Not continually. The short film was meant to be a pilot to shop for a syndication deal. It was shelved for years until FX Australia finally picked it up.

Mick Taylor from "Wolf Creek" was the kind of guy you want to avoid....... I hitched up the west coast of Oz in '89 and If that movie had been out before then, there's no way I would have done it. Did meet plenty of people like Mick Taylor too! Think there was a real guy offing hitch hikers in Oz at that same time too, luckily I never heard about him either........ the daft things you do when you're young?
I mean there is definitely an underbelly like this everywhere but tbh i don't think there's been anything going on in Australia. But then again, the media covers the most random stuff. I barely used to take trains as a kid so when i went out with mates the train was stopped due to a "jumper". Thought it was a one off, but it turns out it happens A LOT more often than you'd think. And i barely knew anything about this from the news.
I think graham is my favourite, its at a point where its all out of the blue and even ray seems to be at an impass, like he knows what to do still but doesnt want to anymore

Because people have hope until the bullet hits their head, there's videos of Jewish men, women and children run to trenches already half full with the dead they hoped for a miracle..
@MicksMechanics the 2.2 million Jews who had to dig massive trenches before being shot would suggest that the talking yourself out of it part is rarely successful.
By far one of the very best shows of all time! This is the kind of series that should have gone on for many more seasons, but the writer, producer, and main character wanted it to go out while it was still on top. I really wish he would come up with another series, or maybe a spin-off show. Ray was the kind of bad guy you would root for. This is probably the most underrated show here in the US. I wish more people knew about it. It really should have been on everyone's DVR or streaming list! Great, now I have to watch it again!
I think its actually 36 kills. There were 3 kidnappers involved in taking that little girl that Gary puts into the basement. You only see two through the door when Ray comes and has a nice chat with them.
Reminds me of a story told by Sammy the Bull Gravano, his friend dying of cancer asked him to shoot him in the head to go out like a man, Sammy delayed because he couldn't do it. By the time he showed up with a gun and silencer his friend had just died. He is glad he didn't have to do it but also regrets it as it was his friends dying wish
While this is dramatised for television, its surprising how high australia's crime rate is. Its been confirmed that we have cartel activity, gangs etc. For a no BS country i would expect these kind of stains to be cleaned up
There were three in the secret room in 2/9, weren't there? You just see the two when Ray goes in with the shovel, but earlier you see three people put in there.
Rafael - choke/hack 'Phuk ewe'... Ray Shoesmith - grins, slowly raises his Sterling SMG and feeds eight rounds straight into Rafy's cake-hole. Yup, that's my boy... Thanks again

@@CoreyT127 How much "spare time" do you think a working class man has mate?
I always fancied going to Australia but am not sure now.
If you go, and happen to see Ray, just be nice to him. Don't want to see you come home with 2 black eyes.
Ivan Malat was worse
I think graham is my favourite, its at a point where its all out of the blue and even ray seems to be at an impass, like he knows what to do still but doesnt want to anymore
although we never got to see what ray did to the paedos...you know for sure it was gruesome and he enjoyed that one.total badass.
I’ve not seen this show, but only clips like this on YT? Who was Dasia? Just that from the few milliseconds the door was open, it looked like a kid next to the fat guy
@@friktionrc Dasia played the female who helped lure in the kids with her nice and calm demeanor.
@@Huyle18 thanks - now that makes sense…especially as Dasia looks like a kid herself from the few clips I’ve now seen.
Great show. Wish it had been longer 💪💯
Same. But I understand why Ryan grew to be fed up with the character. He was very dark and lost.
Brilliant series, I watched it TWICE ☺️🇬🇧
At least Vinnie took it like a man.
5:17 the only one you have no guilt for watching.
How so? I’ve never seen the show.
@@Dr.KarlowTheOctoling well, to keep it short.....their Pedos. Or better, they WERE pedos .....
@@Dr.KarlowTheOctolingthey were traffickers who had kidnapped his friend's kid with the intent of selling her into child sex trafficking. Ray showed them the error of their ways.... One pint of blood at a time.
@@Dr.KarlowTheOctolingThey were child traffickers
Probably the best show we’ve made in Australia
Theres a movie thats called the magician which is about that dude !
It blood is him too, thanks for the info
I was so sad when Dave died. He was such a bro to Ray during the series and really helped him out of some bad spots.
Music playing when Bruce passes away?
One of the best series i've ever watched❤
Didn’t count Bobby (killed by frag) and three in hidden room (not two) and drug dealer who sold Ray’s daughter’s boyfriend the MDA Capsule.
Dirks death was so messed. "I gotta go."
He did nt kill him but he was going to. He felt bad cause he did not do it.
He wouldn't have killed him@@bonchidude
Why does anyone cooperate when told to start digging? Flip dirt in their face and go down swinging like Luke, but do it before you've dug the damn hole. No sense in making things easier for your assassin.
Worked for Ray, dug himself a little fox hole
I think they are trying to delay it hoping a way out of it comes along
Because people have hope until the bullet hits their head, there's videos of Jewish men, women and children run to trenches already half full with the dead they hoped for a miracle..
You can refuse to dig and get shot instantly
Or dig and take your time and try to talk your way out of it or figure out a way out of it
@MicksMechanics the 2.2 million Jews who had to dig massive trenches before being shot would suggest that the talking yourself out of it part is rarely successful.
Such a fantastic show. Should still be on
Erik ten Hag went crazy on this show
Bruce, Boof and Dave 😢
Same here, those three were hard hits. Didn’t much care for Zoe getting killed either
The fourth wall break at the end was amazing 😁
Awesome show. Excellent acting all around. Superb storyline.
Thankfully, you put those words up for the whole duration of the vid, keeping them on screen, I nearly forgot what this telly show is.
Unhelpfully piping up with a correction - 'Old man' is Austraian for dad, pretty sure the guy's name is Bob? Great video though! Such a great show too
'Old man' is also used in the USA as well. Maybe not as common but I still hear it in reference to someone's pops.l from time to time.
If it went on forever it wouldnt of been as good.
I think its actually 36 kills. There were 3 kidnappers involved in taking that little girl that Gary puts into the basement. You only see two through the door when Ray comes and has a nice chat with them.
Rays always held guns the same way 😂
I love Ray's philosophy. Respect me and I will respect you. If not...well...then we have a problem.
The car crash was fucking ruthless 😂😂😂
Yeah Jason and Dillion picked the wrong cab driver to fuck with. Ha.
Where did Ray learn his training
Imagine mercy killing your brother and trying to live life like nothing happened.
That would bother me for a very long time. I don't know if I could do that.
SAVAGE! Excellent series! I bingewatched the hell out of it! Gritty, real, greatly written and WELL acted! 🤌🤌👏👏
Davros thought he had the upper hand. He really didn't know Ray too well.
Loved this show ,hope there is a season 4
Sehr schönes Stück! Danke dafür.
I wish he would do a show about a true crime podcast, where he investigating all of those deaths😊
Best show. Better than Sopranos
Raphal at about 12:30, it was smart of Ray to check his hands to see if he was still holding a weapon
While this is dramatised for television, its surprising how high australia's crime rate is. Its been confirmed that we have cartel activity, gangs etc. For a no BS country i would expect these kind of stains to be cleaned up
I think it might be the landmass to population ratio. Lot of outback to bury bodies and hide weapons/ drugs.
Every country has it. Hell, Canada had terrorists in the seventies.
What happened to the supplier who provided the cap that made it to his daughter?
Ray has been in so many brutal accidents my God 😂😂😂
That ending shot is a masterpiece
Vinnie Williams was a G
He will always be in Ray's dreams 😬😬😬
Funny u say that never noticed it before but ur totally right it is calming don’t know if it’s all the campfires or what
The acting in this show is actually how real-life interactions might go. TOP Notch. Doesn't feel like a script
WoW, 25 for Ray and 30+ for the 3 seasons.
His car insurance must be crazy high 🤣🤣🤣
I'm pretty certain that "the kid" in nr 1 was after Jenny, in 1995. Ray was probably in Iraq in 2001 or something.
5:28 Ray turns into an animal. That hyena crouch only leaves you knowing what his face looks like.
The whines of terror those men made 👩🍳 😚🤌🏻
Super under rated show
Loved this show, made me laugh and made me cry. Also you I think it's implied that he killed the old ped
I hope they bring this series back!
There were three in the secret room in 2/9, weren't there? You just see the two when Ray goes in with the shovel, but earlier you see three people put in there.
Not sure why "A Dog" made me giggle, but it did.
Mr in-between is the Best Australian series ever made!
Then the wolf Creek TV series.
Never heard of this show, is it worth a watch?
100% sucks a bit that you will go in knowing who dies but
Rafael - choke/hack 'Phuk ewe'... Ray Shoesmith - grins, slowly raises his Sterling SMG and feeds eight rounds straight into Rafy's cake-hole. Yup, that's my boy... Thanks again
Best Aussie gangster show
Bruce being 19 - Long Days, Pleasant Nights
WE THE VIEWERS DESERVE:
•S4 OF MR. INBETWEEN
(or another film!) ,
•S3 OF THE KNICK (and no not the one they are planning i want DR. THACKERY in all his 💉 glory !).
•S3 of COUNTERPART.
•AND WHEN DO WE FINALLY GET Part 2 & 3 for DREDD²⁰¹² ‽‽‽! (or series if DONE TRUE!)

This show felt longer than 3 seasons
Dirk and Bruce’s death really hit me hard
Alright alright! I am watch it! Happy now?!
I was so gutted about Zoe. Ray was just starting to find happiness again, and seeing the pain in his eyes. She was a cool character too. After that convo with Rafael I was hoping he’d get revenge. Dave’s death hit a bit hard too.
If I ever go to prison I want Ray as my cell mate.
The last two 👌👌👌 mint scene
The whole episode with Bruce’s death was difficult to watch (even though I know it’s not real !)
