I hear ya. I wish everyone just left the bloody franchise alone after the masterpiece of aliens. But as always in the movie industry money comes first before creativity. Only directors like James Cameron can make a film that is both a fantastic piece of art and a huge money maker. Without director's like him, the movie industry would be dead.
@GeorgeDaPunk I agree. I believe they took the story from one of the AVP comic books. If JC, Ridley Scott and Peter Jackson teamed up to do AVP, that would have been one heck of a movie.
I love James Cameron's work and Aliens is one of my favourite movies, but I couldn't help but laugh at 2:45 - 3:10 because ironically in Avatar he lavished all his attention on making the CGI as realistic as possible and didn't spend enough time on the story.
I couldn't disagree more. I think Avatar is a masterclass in economical world building and experiential storytelling. With big global blockbusters in particular, especially if you’re trying to take an audience to a fantastical alien world, it’s smart screenwriting to ground it on a foundation of simpler, familiar archetypes and relatable themes.
Well, I hear Robert Rodriguez is producing a legit Predator sequel And Ridley Scott is going to do an Alien Prequel that explains where the Aliens came from and what that ship the crew of the Nostromo found them on was all about
I agree. Anderson has great ideas, but he just focuses on comic books! I never read those AVP comic books and I'm not exactly interested in them. Now, he created the whole new group of fans, but lost the Alien and Predator fans. I want something alone the lines of Ridley Scott's Alien or JC's Aliens.. Their films had more depth and variety.
this movie blew me away 1 year ago as it did 10 years ago, way beyond its time, james os a genius..

I hear you...but I have been 'blown away' since 1986 when I saw it in the Cinema.
XD I want to see that Roger Corman movie he's talking about.

How so?

Good news, Ridley Scott is going to produce and direct Alien 5, a prequel that is.
Prometheus you mean ?
@@knownpleasures Yes, 14 years ago I ment Prometheus, but the name wasn't decided yet.
Should have just made as many alien suits as necessary for such a huge film- though they did remarkably well with just 6..
They have moments of having to save money, which shouldn't be misunderstood. But you're right about it being remarkable.
Well, I hear Robert Rodriguez is producing a legit Predator sequel

2:45 - 3:20 These are some clever words.
I agree.

@magicalangel0 ou might not like george lucas, some people don't, i like him
i sure wish he would make another alien film and redeem the franchise from the garbage that anderson has created.
