The movie "Avatar" was an amazing film, it made me look at how our society has neglected nature, and the harm we are doing to it. It made careful about my actions towards nature. This film has tauugt me a very important lesson, which is to value nature.
Yes you are right But people nowadays don't understand and simply hate this movie and says what message does it give what's the purpose of this movie it is famous only because of it jaw dropping visual effects and CGI .I really appreciate James Cameron for making such a great movie and eagerly waiting for the sequels . And at last i have to say that those people who are hating this movie will never understand the true purpose of this movie and the creativity that James Cameron has done I really like the nature of Pandora I wish it could really exist but salute to sir James Cameron. And my best wishes for the upcoming sequels.
It's not my favorite movie ever, but it's probably in my top 10 of all time. Very imaginative and very well done in all facets. Good story and great for all ages, and that's a good thing.
James Cameron, one of truly visionary directors in our time along with Spielberg, who understand the world. Understand it, not just decide to make something thats gonna make some money, which it did. But this is a filmmaker who has crafted together this masterpiece which addresses all the major issues facing us. For me, first I wished I could go to a place like Pandora with its magic, then I realise Im already there - Earth.
Im not an entirely huge flim fan, but i have to say that this film is an absolute masterpeice. Watching it at the cinema in 3D was most probably the best experience of my life.
OMFG WHEN HE SAID SECOND AVATAR FILM, THE FOLLOWING HAPPENED TO ME: My heart fluttered My eyes watered and my hand fanned my face randomly. I can't freaking waittttt :]]]
James Cameron is my favourite director. Always has been. I know people say the stories unoriginal, but I think if the story was too complex, it would have taken focus off the underlying themes and messages. By using a story that is easily identifiable, Cameron keeps the scope of the film clear without convoluting it with deep story twists.
He is a thinker, and that makes all the difference. Half the films we see were done by blokes who went into film school to learn how to make a film. Cameron is a storyteller... for me, the 3D was lost in the images and the stories. I wasnt 'blown away' by the sfx; I was emotionally, psychologically and intellectually engaged by a thrilling motion picture.
I didn't think I would like the movie based on the previews until I heard it was a James Cameron movie. I finally watched it a few days ago and I've already seen it three times! This movie blew me away and it's definitely one of my all time favorites. And picking James Horner to do the soundtrack was probably his best decision in the movie.
I usually hate when filmmakers and studios release a DVD with just the movie, only to re-release it again with everything the first version should have had. But the fact that James told us ahead of time shows how much he respects his fans and makes me appreciate him more.
Probably the best cinematic experience of my entire life. Say what you will about the plot or whatnot, but I adored every minute of it, and have never found myself saying "Dude, that's so cool" to my mate so many times before. After finishing watching it however I was sad because I was desperate to see more, but could so see a way to make a proper, non-tiresome sequel that just stretches the storyline beyond repair. Hope he pulls it off, can't wait. Great job James Cameron.
Yeah what a film! watched it last night on Blu-Ray great film! not only did I capture the imagination that Cameron was trying to imply I also was 'eye opened' by the wonderful unique looking effects and colours AVATAR brings to your screen, it has a great simply story and lovable characters, would like to see the extended edition later this year.
He looks much better with shorter hair. Avatar 2 will be quite amazing, Cameron should be extremely proud. His mind must be constantly thinking in a creative way which is pretty much envied by all artists. Genius of a man in the field of art and using Nature as a teacher.
