Nice review and it comes at a good time- picking up a new 2020 Ram Big Horn crew cab 4x4 tomorrow. It's replacing my better half's tired '13 Honda CR-V ... never ever have seen her so excited about a new ride. Even at the Big Horn trim level (Level 2 equipment package w/ bucket seats) this interior is killer. The ride and interior noise level level is better than a lot of luxury cars I've been in. eTorque Hemi and 3.92's should pull a future travel trailer pretty well. Big, big purchase for us and we're both a little nervous about it but your review has gone a long way towards easing my mind about it ... think she's going to be really pleased with it over the long run. Only real problem now is getting it to fit in the garage- got to move a mountain of stuff somewhere else ... a CR-V and a 500 Abarth don't take up much space. Keep up the good work!
I own a fully loaded Laramie crew cab with the off road group and 33k miles. It’s been through some tough stuff and not one problem. I average 19mpg after I had the undercarriage covered to protect it from rust. Prior to that I averaged 20-22mpg with the 5.7 Hemi and all terrains. Mine had the appearance package as well

About this particular truck, very nice interior, would prefer a longer box, 5'7" too short. I prefer the eTorque for better towing capacity. Overall good looking RAM, competition is good. Watch out Ford.
So in terms of actual towing capacity the eTorque is about about 90-140 pounds less than the non-eTourque variant depending on configuration which i thought was really strange. From what I've been researching it seems like its mostly for fuel economy. With that being said I do wonder if the eTourque has an easier time towing on hilly roads, and if its a noticeable enough difference you could feel. I'm also curious to see a comparison as I can't find anything like that anywhere. Hey Joe you up for a comparison!? lol
Forward of the Firewall, there's too much design flows going on and fake everything. After that, clean body lines and tailgate, are spot on. Interior, seats could use more bolstering, IMO. Dash layout, infotainment system, and the business side, is definite selling point for me! Well Done. Did your tester have paddle shifters? Also was it a 4 , or AWD, drivetrain. Living with in metro Detroit, I unfortunately see more of these on haulers, from the factory, than I do on the road, over Ford, and GM(C) trucks, on a daily basis. Overall, it would be something, for me, to consider. However, that front end, not so much the grill, needs to be better thought out, when it comes to functionality. In contrast, the rise in the hood, is useless, once you raise the hood, and one sees how low that engine sits. That, "gap" should be filled with some form of storage space for keeping the White Castles, or Coney Dogs, "Warm"! Great review 👍, Joe! 🏁🏁

@@LS1007 i own 2019 Longhorn with E-torque and yes it had MDS, but u can temp. turn it off or buy an aftermarket device to turn it off until u turn back on.
gHiDoRa MDS is multiple displacement system which deactivates four of the cylinders at certain speeds to save gas. I think your speaking of the stop start system that shuts off the engine if stopped at a light. I’ve never heard of being able to deactivate the MDS system.
gHiDoRa I just checked the web and apparently you can turn off the MDS system on Ram trucks. I didn’t know that. I had a Charger R/T and It was not possible to do so.
My back window is leaking causing the RF hub to corrode. It’s just out of warranty and Ram care is currently covering the whole cost. What I’m wondering is why is the RF hub under the back seat?
Hey Joe, I love the Ram it quite my be my next vehicle. However I'm torn because of 2 Zonks. With a naturally aspirated V8 it can only tow about 9,000 pounds. As compared to its competitor that can tow around 11,000 pounds with a turbo charged V6. And my final zonk the ventilated seats, they aren't the best. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and I have the ventilated seats they suck. But overall I do love the Ram. Who know what the future holds. Stay safe and keep the videos coming.
I've heard of the issues. My 2020 puts out 50°F @ the lowest setting. Does it take it awhile? Yes. Does it take as long as other makes however? Unless they're side by side, tbh that's subjective. I can't honestly say yes or no. Does mine freeze me out? Yes. Have I had any noticeable A/C issues? No.
@@UNSC011001 i suppose its a minor complaint. Does the AC work on long drives? Yes. However, city driving in Texas in the summer this truck is a struggle bus to keep the cab cool

For what you get the Dodge Trucks are the best priced trucks out of all of them from what I have found.
About this particular truck, very nice interior, would prefer a longer box, 5'7" too short. I prefer the eTorque for better towing capacity. Overall good looking RAM, competition is good. Watch out Ford.
Excellent points man!
Hey Joe you up for a comparison!? lol
Get my 2020 Lamarie in 11 months for my birthday can't wait!
The elephant in the room is less than stellar reputation for reliability. With that said could be world class.
Very good point!
I wish there was an suv based on this platform
Durango
Now that’s a Truck! 💪🏼🦾
I am so glad that you are digging this one.
it is
What did you like driving better, the Ram or the 2020 F150 Lariat?
EVEN if i had to chose 2021 Lariat VS 2021 Laramie, Laramie is a strong win
This guy is awesome.
Thanks for saying that! I appreciate your support!
Which is better of this two interior packages, the piano black or the gloss black?
Love the design of the exhaust on this Ram, one of the few trucks that have an exhaust sticking out all the way to the back end.
I love all the trucks that you sure one your channel I would love to see you do the learning night edition
Thee best truck review EVER!!!
When buying a Ram 1500 Sport Package you can delete the hood with the fake vents. Unfortunately this can't be done when ordering the night edition.
I think some gunmetal fender flares would look best on this truck. The painted fenders look very plain, which doesn't agree with the aggressive hood.
Nice freaking truck!
I am so glad that you like this one Lawrence!
Love the ipad n back up camera
Awesome video... what watch do you wear, looks very nice...
Thanks Rodney. It is an Invicta.
How well will this truck age? Joe you seem to feel some parts are already looking dated.
It is going to be interesting to see how it pans out.
Excellent video’s always
I was checking out Silverado, Tundra, RAM, and F-150. Is coming down between RAM and F-150.
Outstanding review.
I’m definitely missing an E-Twerk system in my ride. RAM might’ve just sold me! Ha
Very cool!
Raiti's Rides but seriously gr8 review as always. I just don’t have enough money for all the cars I want, but we all can experience a bit of em one badass review atta time. Have a great weekend Joe!
*sigh* here I was super excited for the colorado z71 this is even better but 50k breaks my bankl cant afford it so will still have to stick with the colorado.
Love the Rams! Does it have the MDS system or did they eliminate it on this mild hybrid? Love the retro looking white letter tires. Nice job Joe! Have a safe weekend! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
All RAM 1500 come with MDS.
gHiDoRa Thanks! Didn’t know if the e torque had it or not.
The exhaust doesn't rubble as much as the previous gen did. But still a nice truck.
No sunroof! Inconceivable!
Gotta have a sunroof with all of that truck
I have this truck but mine has a panoramic roof and its awesome!!!!
The best car review 👌
You are so awesome! Thanks Daniel!
Nice truck. Thank you for the review.
I always wanted a truck.
Someday, maybe.
Great truck, great review.. would like to see cargo area/detailed bed in future reviews but nice truck nice review Joe
Thanks for the feedback! I am so glad that you liked this one.
They should have kept the Gear shift on the console. It really makes it look weak. I bought one and really don't like it.
I have one and love it!!!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts from your experience!
You didn't mention the AC performance. I say this because it is a very common complaint with these 5th gen rams.
That is an awesome truck, the best truck in the series. Im from South Africa, i wonder if they have this truck available here. I am a 23 year old business woman , im very very petitie and im looking to purchase a truck as my second car of lease one as i dont see any young pretty lady in trucks around here and i must be the first! Thankyou joe for your reviews
I have a question, for the 2020 and 2019 Laramie 1500 is the rear sliding window automatic?
Looking to get a truck for my next vehicle so I can travel and God willing I'll get it, I'm just debating if I should get a Jeep or a pickup truck for that heavy duty travel, one where the wear and tear isn't immediate and transmission sucks
Of course it is if you wanna replace yourself rocker arms, rods, pistons, piston rings, maybe even have to swap your block, injectors and my personal favorite the rounded out cam. These engines are junk unless they fixed them and I doubt they did
