After watching your video, I decided to trade-in my 2017 RAM Laramie Longhorn for the 2019 Limited. I am very impressed with the quality of materials and features. This is the 4th Ram truck I’ve owned and by far the best build quality of all I’ve owned.
Mopar Man-Frria just wondering if you actually went ahead and traded to the new limited. Would really like your honest opinion. Im from Australia and unfortunately we dont get the new facelifted model. What we do get is the previous, which sounds like the one you traded. Im betting the new one should start trickling in about 6 months time which, I could hold out for if its really worth it. Thanks in advance.
@@mr.h3603 yes I traded the 2017 for the 2019 model in June and I love it. It's silver with chrome wheels and I changed the mufflers so the sound is deeper. I get a lot of compliments on the truck. The new safety features and 12" screen is awesome.

You missed that the rear seats can recline, and underneath the floor mats in the back seats are built in coolers that can drain out under the truck.
I think they are called Ram Box... one on each side. I didnt know they drain on their own... assumed they were sealed

Also, the rear seats do recline.

@standodge7687 I meant specifically the limited specification, I only compare the luxury truck segment. For off-road, I would probably pick something else, although my 1500 limited manages to get through everything I throw at it, which doesn't include any proper offroading.

Everyone complains about the Ram limited's price, but they don't even bother to recognize the fact that it's the same price as every other brands premium truck, but it comes with much more than the others.

Actually it is priced below the F-150 at $69k. And has few extra tech features. You can't get a 12 inch screen nor air suspension on F-150.

Hi Doug! Thanks for another outstandingly in-depth review. Wish I saw it before I went to work this AM where I'm a VSA at Hertz in Central Indiana. In layman's terms I clean the vehicle's interior, run a custom car wash for the exterior, and perform nominal servicing tasks.
Today I was elated to see a Ram 1500 Limited key fob land on my carabiner. However the most recent customer to utilize this truck certainly didn't take any precautions with regards to tracking dirt and mud onto the bedazzled limited edition floor mats or the running boards.
I was able to knock out the interior with no issues. Next onto the exterior wash. Ours has one brush for the horizonal surfaces and one more for vertical. After the wash it was time to move it to the show lot so I pulled on the driver's door handle which then triggered the running boards to descend for easy entry, and there they were...in all their mud covered glory.
Now if they were to have a feature that would keep the boards down while the doors are nice and closed then I would be able to run the car wash on them. Lacking the knowledge of the fact that this feature does exist I was constrained to opening a door then taking a brush and a bucket of car wash detergent and scrubbing them manually with a good wipe down to conclude.
So thanks for that too as well as the button to lower the gate. Mind blown! Take care 😃
I just crossed 25,000 miles on my 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Sport and I love it! I towed my camper across the country with zero issues. Road noise on the highway is gone. It’s a dream to drive. *i grew up on a ford farm*

I'm not a truck guy, I prefer luxry cars but if I were to get a truck I'd definitely get this without a second thought. It really looks nice with that new headlight design, those wheels and the overall luxry package with that center screen.

Work trucks spend a lot of time idling.. some fleet services use hour indicators as a means to keep up regular maintenance instead of just miles for this reason. 1 Hour of idling is equiv to about 30 miles on the odometer in terms of wear.

Doug, the "step deploy" button comes in handy when washing the vehicle. Especially after driving on dirt roads, which is what truckers do. Those steps get caked with mud and it's impossible to clean them unless the door is open to deploy them, or just press the button and they stay down with the doors closed.

The other advantage of air suspension on a truck, that I'm surprised the owner's manual didn't tell you about, is that it aids towing. You can level your truck's ride height to stop your trailer from sagging the rear suspension.

Its crazy that the 5th gens have already been out for 4 years. My dad has had a 2020 Bighorn 5.7 4x4 for a good 2 and a half years, and i love that thing probably more than he does. Absolutely zero issues with it too which surprises me and doesnt surprise me, a simple pushrod engine cant have much go wrong and this one isnt tech loaded so there isnt all that much to go wrong on that front as well. Once the lease is up for it next July he wants to change to a new Durango, we had a 2003 one in the same color as the ram when it was brand new up until 2015, and I think he also wants the 392, which i would want as well. With the hellcat coming back for 2023 i dont know what to expect but im not getting my hopes up for my dad getting a hellcat durango.

The power running boards being able to deploy with the doors closed might help with washing the truck by hand or drying it after going through a car wash/dry that never completely drys your vehicle. (No water spots on huge glass sunroof)
